It’s a pretty campground with 16 sites. We are van campers so we had no problem fitting into a site. Some sites are bigger and easier to fit into. Every site is shaded. As the weather got hotter, the bugs got worse. Pit toilet that wasn’t bad. Not having a table at the site was a minus. After a heavy rain it can be fairly muddy. If you run out of water, there is a faucet at the nearby hunter checkin. It’s in the middle of nowhere but there is a tiny Mexican restaurant/convenience store a few miles south. Reservations must be made online but ours was never checked. There were always empty sites.

Sites are willy nilly over a small expanse of ground. Lots of boats launching to a pretty lake so part of the land is boat and trailer parking. Manager is uptight but does keep the restrooms clean.

This is a beautiful park built around 4 lakes. The primitive sites are $15 and are on one of the lakes. The RV sites are $20 and some are close to a lake. We spent two nights in an RV site and two nights in primitive over the MLK weekend. The park was maybe 90% full. Half of the campers brought ATVs or golf carts and drove these around and around. There is no privacy between sites. There are hiking, off road biking and bridle trails. The roads through the campground were heavily traveled and the speed limit was not obeyed. Probably this place is peaceful and quiet during the week. We picked a busy time. Bathhouses were fairly clean and showers were hot.

Easy to find. Beautiful sites on Lake Talquin. Park also used for boat launches. If it had been warmer we would have stayed longer. Restrooms were ok and did have a shower. Sites had w/e, table, grill and fire ring. Some sites had a balcony/patio on the lake shore.

Nice shaded sites on the outside loop. Great restrooms with showers. Shelter 1 has electric if you need to charge electronics. Horses are allowed in the campground so you might encounter what they leave behind. Bike trailhead is in park but it is a .8 mile of deep sand to reach the trail. Lots of horse trails. Sites do not have water but it’s available.

Electric sites are in an open field. Primitive sites are in a wooded area and are not numbered. You just pick a spot. The primitive sites are on the Peace River. The restrooms are terrible. As bad as they were, I did try to take a shower and could not get hot water. The office manager was nice but has other duties like mowing. If you try to register and the office is closed, find a site and leave him a note. My GPS took us to a huge RV resort across the road. Pioneer is at the corner of 17 and 64.

We came for one night and it is now our third. This park is lovely with 24 sites. Some with electric for $32. The park managers now live here full time and go over and above to make your stay wonderful. Most sites have large live oak trees for shade. The park is on the Peace River and it is enjoyable to search for fossils. Karen the manager will loan you the equipment. The restrooms could use an update but I’ve seen worse. Shower water is hot. Right now there are just two sites occupied. There is some day use but not a problem. Arcadia is not far for eating out.

This is an RV park not a campground. Our tent site on the lake was ok and spacious but this park is jam packed with huge RVs. The place is huge. No privacy between sites. A lot of the RVs are here for an extended time and it does not have the feel of a campground. No campfires. Restrooms are nice and clean. Lots of traffic and airport noise. Today the noise from jet skis was annoying.

Sites are large and private. Nice bathhouse. Lots of tiny ticks. Some noise from 314. $10 was our price with senior pass. 4 sites will have electric soon. Very small lake.

Even on a holiday weekend this campground was almost empty. It’s really set up for off roading. It’s a huge open field with three trees. Lots of sand and dust. No trails. The bathhouse was clean and the showers were hot. No electricity anywhere. It’s a long dirt road in and out.
