Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on June 26, 2023The site quality here varies widely. There are basically 3 sections. Partial hook-up sites with a 14 day limit, full hook-ups with a 14 day limit, and long term seasonal sites. All of the 14 day limit sites are on the lake with nice views, fairly good separation, and paved parking pads. The seasonal sites are away from lake and very tight together. They are also very popular, so if you're looking to stay here for longer than 14 days be sure to book early. We only stayed a week so we took a partial hook-up (water & electric) site on the water. It was large & scenic, but lacked any sort of privacy. While the campground itself is pretty quiet, there was some noise from the nearby airport, and the nearly constant helicopters flying overhead.
The best part of the campground was actually the public park that it's located in. We enjoyed the paved bike path and the mulched fitness trail nearly every day. There are also 3 different playgrounds, a splash pad, a basketball court, and a lake for fishing.
While this wasn't our favorite campground, we did enjoy having access to all the amenities in the park, and if we were in the area again would pick this over any of the private parks.

This is a nice little oasis in an urban environment. It's located in a huge park with lots of trails and day use facilities, but the campground is nicely separated with a coded gate. Within the campground are two nice playgrounds and a dog fitness walk. There are four types of sites: short term with and without sewer and long term with and without sewer. We were in the short term with water and electric but no sewer. According to the rate sheet, honey wagon service is available, but we didn't need it for our short stay. Most of the short term have water views, though at times the vegetation covers a lot of the view. There is not much privacy between sites, some are quite short, and some will require extra leveling. When you make your reservation, you may want to discuss these. The long term sites are not on the waterfront and were pretty much all occupied, but all the sites were neat and the RVers were friendly. The park is very close to the beach and the artsy downtown area of Lake Worth, which we enjoyed visiting. We also enjoyed watching all the private planes taking off from the adjacent small airport.

When we first arrived at John Prince Campground, it seemed crowded and cramped and I thought to myself that I would probably be giving it a 3 star review. The campsite next to ours had six vehicles in it in addition to an RV, but shortly after we arrived, the cars left and what initially seemed cramped quickly changed to nicely spaced.
There are a few different sections to this campground. Short-term and long-term. The short-term is for campers staying 14 days or less and is split into two sections - partial hookups and full hookups. If you can get a full-hookup waterfront site, you will be very happy here. I made our reservation 6 months in advance and could only get a partial hookups site, but it was on the water and we were very happy during our stay.
Every day we had a "wildlife show" out our back window. There are a variety of birds and TONS of iguanas running around. We even saw an alligator. There aren't any signs posted about alligators, but kids probably shouldn't be playing near the water.
The adjacent park is great for walking, biking and running - it was one of our favorite things about the campground.
There is a pump out service available for those in the partial hookups section for $8 a dump and is available Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We took advantage of it a few times.
The campground office was great about mail. There's laundry here, though we didn't use it.

I have stay in this park a couple of times, since I have family close by. I love the adjacent park and I like the feel of the camping section.
The restrooms and showers were adequate and the playground was enjoyed by my niece and nephew. There is an airport close by, but during the night hours I run my fan, so it isn't a problem. Just a great option for the area.

Great place, very secure, need a code to get through the gate. Sites along the water have the most room, the interior sites are a little tight. Keep an eye out for the Iguanas, they like to sun themselves in the trees. All in all a nice place to camp.

We booked 2 nights and we're very relieved to have a place to stay besides cracker barrel which has been wonderful. We are driving through Florida on a whim late Feb. Absolutely NO place to camp. Cracker Barrel has been excellent. But we were ready for some down time and hook ups. We arrived to check in and they turned us away because we have a conversion trailer!!! So all you conversion campers you will not be allowed in. He told me I never told him it was a conversion, I never thought it would be an issue. And it never crossed my mind. So disappointed, it looks like a beautiful park. Would have enjoyed our stay there I think. Sorry to leave one star but had to give a star rating. I want other conversion campers to be aware.

This was probably the best overall value we've had from a campground. It was clean, spots were spaced well. We stayed right on the lake. There were two playgrounds for the kids, and really nice road for the kids to ride their bikes on. I'd plan a trip back to the area just to stay here again!

We loved this campground. It was close to family and had an option of being on the water. The only reason I did not give five stars was because the campground had a power outage and we were without power during dinner and were unable to cook dinner then again in the morning while we were packing to leave. This was a big inconvenience. Considering we paid for electric you think they would have been willing to give us some type of discount for our stay. Nope! Otherwise it would have been 5 stars. Also, wifi was non-existent.
