Very quiet and convenient. Incredible dark sky views. Medora is so small that it’s easy to get anywhere. Most sites are shorter but a few can handle 40 ft rig. Site 8 could handle 45 ft motorhome and toad and is pretty level. Stopped for a drink at Boots Bar and Grill in town. Drinks were good and staff was friendly. Food looked good although we didn’t eat there. Will definitely stay here again.

We had a large pull through site across from the pool. Plenty of room for our 41 ft motorhome and Jeep. All the facilities were very clean. Lots of full time families here. Everyone was very nice and friendly — both staff and other residents! We’ll definitely stay here again when we’re in Austin. Only took us 15 minutes to get to St David’s for our appointment. Granted it was summer but not having to get on IH 35 or any of the other highways is a definite plus. We recommend approaching from TX130 if coming from the south. 183 is okay from the north but all torn up both directions south of Manor Rd.
They even have a nice dog washing station and lots of cool improvements planned. The only suggestions we have would be to make sure each site has a picnic table and to add a patio slab to the pull through sites.

This really is parking lot camping as many have said but it is perfect for spending some time at the beach and the bath house is updated and clean. WiFi was adequate from what we could tell. There are picnic tables at each site with shade shelters over them which is great. The only problem is the birds hang out on the shelter and make a poopy mess on the tables which is pretty gross.

I used to live in Austin and didn’t realize that McKinney Falls had 50 amp sites. What a great find! Sites very quite a bit in size and accessibility but they are all nice. We only stayed overnight but will definitely stay here again when visiting Austin. The only suggestion we have is to take a drive by your site before deciding which way to approach if you can. The park staff (at least the day we arrived) are not RVers and so don’t understand about which side hook ups are on or which way is better to back in.
