Wife and I were passing through from the Great Sand Dunes to Pagosa Springs and decided to do a night of dry camping here as all of the pictures looked so beautiful; well it did not disappoint! Was able to take our 4Runner off-roading on all of the spider web trails throughout this area. Was not crowded at all during early May 2023. Would definitely camp here again. Entrance is located at coordinates 37.62956ºN, 106.25170ºW

There is a free dump station 12 minutes up the road in Del Notre at coordinates 37.68408ºN, 106.35221ºW; as well as an RV park (Woods and River RV Park). They were nice enough to let us get water as the city park dump station still had water turned off for the winter season (May 2023).

We have Verizon with a Weboost and are getting 5LTE at this site. There is a cellular tower visible here, so I would imagine most all cellular services will get 2 bars minimum if not 5.

This is a free dispersed campground that is poorly maintained regarding road condition and tree overhang throughout roadway to some campsites. We have a 23' travel trailer that we had to park in the large main entrance area as either the roads were too impassable with a travel trailer or the tree branches were too close to the roadway to some of the campsites. This would be an ideal spot for camper vans or tent campers, but for anything larger unfortunately. The road condition and the poor cellular service is the only reason we would not consider staying here again. We have 1 bar with Verizon and even that is very poor for internet or phone calls.

This is a free dispersed camping location on the Meredith Lake Reservoir (6901 County Lane 21 Ordway, CO). Very private and quite location with small waves splashing ashore and birds calling; however, be prepared for the surrounding farmland smells and (at least while we were here) dead fish smell...it will knock you off your feet at times. There is no water or sewage and maximum number of days allowed to camp is 14-days per CO state law. If you are looking for a free location to stay while visiting Bent's Fort (nearest attraction), then we'd highly recommend this location.

What an awesome dispersed camping site in the San Juan! Just minutes from Silverton, CO - South Mineral Campground has dozens of dispersed campsites for all size rigs. Newly laid gravel road in takes you all the way to Ice Lake Trailhead and campground. We have between 1-2 bars with Verizon (even when using our Weboost); however, as mentioned Silverton is just up the road. There is a variation of dispersed campground names off this road so do not let it confuse you; just search for South Mineral Campground in Apple Maps and you'll be on the right path to choose whichever campground you desire.

WOW! This campground was not what we were expecting given the name on Campendium; however, we were thoroughly surprised by the oasis in the desert! This campground is located 30-40 minutes from the Great Sand Dunes and is a true hot springs oasis for the community! We stayed 2 nights in the RV sites, then, moved over to their dry camping sites to stay longer. This campground has a kid friendly natural hot springs swimming pool AND an adults only greenhouse hot springs area with bar (food and drinks) completely isolated from the kids! The Greenhouse holds 4 hot springs pools of various temperatures and a great bar that stays open from 8am to 10pm. There is also fish feeding ponds on the property for afternoon strolls. Cellular reception was 3-5 bars (Verizon). Full laundry facility, showers, and dump station available (even for those just passing through).

We really enjoyed our stay here! Justin the manager is awesome and truly took care of us while we were there.

Stayed here in early May of 2023. Was able to get a site along the creek that runs through the property which was super relaxing (slept with the window open and listened to the running creek all night long). Site was small and oddly shaped with difficult positioning of hook-ups. There is no cellular service here (Verizon) and the internet is iffy at our site. The laundry facility is standard coin machines and a bit on the expensive side. Showers take a bit too warm up and the facility smells slightly musty/moldy.

My wife works remotely and the internet, coupled with no cellular service, made things very difficult; however, was able to meet with the owner and he was kind enough to set my wife up in the storage room where the wifi router was located. He stated that he is currently investing heavily in updating the wifi across the campground.

We likely wouldn't stay here again for only two reasons, poor cellular coverage and wifi; however, if the campground owner does manage to continue updating the wifi across the campground we would consider staying here again. Especially since he went out of his way to help resolve our issues.

Stayed for 23 nights at this campground for $32 per night + electricity ($0.11/kWh). Campground had full hook-ups and amenities (laundry, showers, bathrooms, & internet (22/mbps). We stayed in the front park of the campground which is adjacent to an O'Riley's Auto-parts, so that only noice disturbance we ever had was night time deliveries to the auto-parts store around 11pm. Internet speed was acceptable, but we did have to reset our wifi extender 3 times during our entire 23 day stay. This campground looked to be the nicer of the 3 in the Colorado Springs area and definitely centrally located to all of the major tourist attractions (were typically under 10 minutes from everything). Staff was nice and helpful. Campground does accept mail and packages which are kept in the main office. The one major complaint we had was the newly remodeled bath-houses; showers are so small, my estimate = 2' x 2'. You will definitely hit your elbows when showing and if you are on the big side you will not be able to shower in these stalls. Lastly, the sites are narrow, you will definitely get to know your neighbor.

Stopped by this KOA as we were passing through Steamboat Springs to dump our tanks, fill our water tank, empty trash, & take showers. $20 for a day pass!

Campground looks nice and the amenities we used were very accommodating.

Would recommend this campground for stay or to dump your tanks!

Just passing through, but wanted to give this campground perks because they offer a $25 for 4-hour RV site so that you can dump your tanks, fill up your fresh water, do laundry, and take a hot shower. How awesome is that! They are doing things right at this campground given the number of dispersed campgrounds between Silverton, CO and Gunnison, CO.

Was in a bind due to our dry camping options being closed in the area due to continued snowfall blocking national park roads along Wolf Creek in May 2023. This campground was kind enough to put our 23' rig in a tent site along the creek for a night. Shower facility was nice and provided ample room. Campground was also accommodating and allowed us to have water and dump our tanks. Our site was nestled on the creek and the rippling water was SO relaxing to watch and listen to! Wifi here was very poor and only 1 bar with Verizon. Would definitely stay here again, but maybe closer to a wifi router and most certainly along the creek.
