Read all the reviews that this was a great place to stop but it’s really not. The best thing I can say about this place is that it is free. The parking area with RV hookups is shut down, and they told us to park in the parking lot adjacent to that is next to the Calcasieu Bridge. The noise was terrible whole night from the trucks on the bridge not to mention the train that went by several times at night. If you want even an hour of sleep, this is not the place Definitely would not stay here again.

This is our second time staying here. Really well-maintained, lots of grassy areas and very clean. A lot of full-time residences. The couple that own it are very friendly and helpful.

This seems like it is mostly permanent residents in the campground - but lots of newer RVs and campers. Wellmaintained with lots of amenities but the price is steep for such a large, crowded campground.

Campground a little off the beaten trail but worth the drive. Very quiet and great stargazing. Large gift shop for people who like gems and crystals
Love this spot. Friendly staff, clean showers and great shop for souvenirs. Best part is that it’s away from traffic, noise and crowds. Quiet, beautiful birds and peaceful. Our go to in this part of Texas

It’s rough finding a RV spot in AZ in February! I called and the manager said we could have an overflow spot that was directly across from the office. We arrived around 7 PM. The office was closed, but she came out to meet us and showed us where to park. It’s right next to freeway so you just get some traffic noise and the neighborhood surrounding it is a bit sketch.
