Don’t know Why this listing is not called the “Vulture Peak Trailhead” as that’s what all the signs here say ..... don’t know Where ‘Box Wash’ is, never saw those signs ?? Some of the posted pictures are also Not of this area - maybe somebody was ‘close by’ and just posted them on this spot rather than making a new listing with coordinates as they should have. Anyway - this is a Great BLM camping spot. Large gravel parking / staging area with half dozen campsites around the perimeter and then a few off-shoot roads but scout these first as limited turn-around. At the end is the parking area for the trail which is very popular so probably would Not camp in that area - leave it for the hikers. Only had 2 ATV’s the whole week so that was certainly not bothersome. VERY easy access as the road in is very nicely paved and only 10 minutes to Safeway, laundry, fuel or Tractor Supply for propane. Some road noise but not at night. Highly Recommended !!!

We thought this was the best of the area for our 5th wheel RV. It’s a boat launch area so open to solar/satellite but not much privacy (very popular) and no ‘pretty’ points, but it served our purpose for a nice little stay. We had no cell service.
Arrived to nice signs saying “Welcome” and to check-in at the convenience store. Convenience store is Closed - borded up like doing renovations ? I parked and set-up anyway and went to the front desk to check-in. “No Problem” - yes, the store is closed as is the Dump Station but you are welcome to just park Free in the lot so long as your playing at Harrahs !! No hotel amenities just Free parking lot parking. You’ll want to drive down the hill to the casino - no walking path - but it’s Cold out so who would want to walk Anyway ?! 😊 Only one other person in lot with me which I liked - not the crowds found at the other parking lots !! Enjoyed the stay - will spend one night at an RV park then it’s Back to the Desert for all that free boondocking!!!!
Recommend you scout this if you have an RV of any real size — our 5th wheel was large for the area and there is no turnaround if campers are already present. Recommend the boat launch areas until you have a grasp of where to camp .... or just stay at the boat launches - plenty of room.
This site link should be re-named “Green River Rec Area Site #1”.
There is an actual official BLM campground across the road named Warren Bridge Campground.
Small sites and tight turns and tree overhang - I would suggest a 20’ maximum for this campground. Could also use a good lawnmower to clear out areas.

And a very nice drive but Camping — I guess you might ‘create’ something if you’re small enough but ground very light and not packed has ‘get stuck’ potential for trailers or motorhome.
Stayed one night to have a good dump and flush, good charge on batteries, fill with water and do laundry. Now back to the desert !!!
