Free dump and fill right in Lethbridge at their visitor centre. Small park nearby with grass and some historic displays.

Free dump, easily accessible for big rigs with separate fresh water fill.

Canadian Tire is a huge automotive and household goods superstore in Canada. They carry camping and RV stuff, sports equipment, all sorts of tools, automotive products and a huge assortment of household and kitchen stuff. Show your support and make a purchase if at all possible and be sure to tell them at the check out how much you appreciate the free dump station.

Free and accessible dump station right in the town of Lake Cowichan. Iron ranger requests a donation with a suggested amount of $10 to help maintain the dump but no obligation to pay.

Separate fresh water fill located before the dump itself. Lots of room to turn around and line up for the dump - popular dump as the area parks mostly don't offer sanidumps. Grading at the dump is approximately level.

FYI, there is no laundromat in the town of Lake Cowichan. Nearest laundry is in Duncan.

There are actually 2 free dumps located at the Willows Rest Area off the I5, one for northbound and one for southbound. Both dumps are located at the end of the rest area right before the ramp to re-enter the freeway. There is a separate fresh water fill hose as well, although there are no signs indicating if the water is potable or not. Unsure if the water is shut off in winter but it was still on when I was there in late November.

This is a popular spot for good reason: it is located just 20 minutes outside the city of Nanaimo and accessible by a paved road. The asphalt eventually gives way to a short gravel section leading to a large clearing in the forest with a stony/grassy/dirt base. Signage at the entrance indicates this is a multi-use site managed by the Back Country Horseman of BC and there are multiple horse corrals around the site. There is also a large communal fire pit though 2 campers chose to build fires at their site.

The area is open enough to provide plenty of solar. Unfortunately, while we were there, the site was occupied by a group who don’t have solar and instead ran a loud generator til 1am and again at 7am the next morning. In addition, there is a gravel road that continues past the site and there were several pick up trucks that drove right past our spot late in the evening and again the following morning.

While we were there, there were 2 campsites that were obviously being occupied in an ongoing way by homeless persons. Nanaimo is experiencing an ongoing crisis over homelessness. The city has a large tent city downtown that is about to be closed and it seems very likely that more homeless people will seek to live here.

Having said all that, we did meet a couple fulltiming in a van with solar and friendly man with a homemade tiny house, both nomadic travelers from out of province. There are also stunningly beautiful trails that lead into the forest from the far outhouse. Well worth exploring on foot or horseback!

Note as we left on a Friday morning, 4 trucks pulling horse trailers were pulling in. Beware this can be a busy spot for the equestrian users on weekends.

Marginal AT&T signal only with booster, no Bell Canada even with booster.

This large scenic look out is actually a side loop off Chuckanut Drive and is separated from the main road by multiple large trees. We did not camp here but would have if we had known it was there. There are no signs prohibiting overnight parking and the pull out is well south of Larrabee State Park so you shouldn't have any problems.

There are other pull outs along this road but this one was the largest and prettiest by far. Super spacious area with room for multiple large RVs on a relatively level asphalt surface. Beautiful views overlooking Samish Bay and an interpretive sign.

Public gravel parking lot right in downtown Summerland! Huge area with space for 10 or more RVs. Adjacent to a busier road so there is some road noise but it tapers off significantly overnight. Sign says 3 night stay limit. No indication if you are allowed to sleep inside the rig though I think this is implied. Still probably best to treat this as a parking area and not a campground, ie keep noise to a minimum and definitely no campfires! No garbage cans here - but there is a small public trash bin between the art gallery and museum.

I parked for 4 nights on the May long weekend just around the corner in the paved lot just north of the museum/art gallery. No signage at that lot saying you may or may not park there but it was quieter because it was farther from the road. I even unhitched my camper and left to drive to visit local wineries. No one bothered me at all - yay!

Adjacent downtown area has great shops including clothes, bakery, hardware store, restaurants and Nester's Market for groceries. Small but good museum and art gallery are nearby, both with admission by donation. Library across the street with free wifi, aquatic centre is 5 minute walk away with public swimming and hottub/sauna for $5. Lots of wineries in the area: Thornhaven and Back Door are both affordable with good wines. Dirty Laundry has a party atmosphere – try their Port wine! Hike up the mountain at Giant’s Head Park and hike or cycle the TransCanada trail nearby. Ride the steam train on weekends in the warm weather, $25 for adults. Farmer’s market on Sunday mornings downtown Summerland starts in June.

Thank you Summerland for the welcome free place to park! Great community with lots to offer – get out and explore!

This place has everything:

Dump for $10 plus tax, discount to $3 if you have a membership with them as in the USA.

There are 2 dump ports - when you pay inside they will give you a code that will release the cover so you can access.

Fresh water fill also available from a single spigot near the dumps.

Showers available for $14.

Propane fill available.

Overnight RV parking allowed and there is a friendly welcome sign for RVers which is nice. It’s a truck stop so there will be noisy trucks around. But if you want a place where you are allowed to stay overnight for free in Saskatoon, this is it.

Awesome free municipal dump in Devon, open seasonally which means closed in winter. Call for exact dates. Sign says it is for Devon residents but there was no threatening signage for non-residents and no one there monitoring use.

Plenty of room for large rigs - you can pull up from either direction so 2 people can line up to dump at the same time, though there is only one dump opening.

Free fresh water fill separate from the dump flush hose. The signs to pay for water are for large commercial fill hoses that are suspended overhead in the adjacent bay.

Thank you Devon!

This provincial park campground is pretty and has lots of trees and quite a few waterfront sites. Sites are a bit small and not entirely private but many provide direct access to the water right from the site with a pebble beach footing, including my site #55. Arrive earlier in the day and avoid arriving on the weekend if you want to score a waterfront site. Campground is reservable so you may have trouble getting a site in peak season July and Aug and long weekends.

From their website: At South Campground during peak season, the campsites are 100% reservable but from April to mid June and mid Sept to October there are plenty of First Come First Serve sites available. Winter Camping (with no services) is also available at South Campground during the Off Season but with no provided services. South Campground: open from approx February 15, 2018 to November snowfall (Gate locked when closed). http://www.campokanagan.com/okanagan-lake-provincial-parks

Comfort station looks recently constructed and is quite nice. However, it has open ventilation with the outside so if it is cold outside, it is cold in the comfort station. Showers had hot water when I went but not hot enough to stave off my goosebumps and the water temperature was not adjustable. Avoid showering in cold temperatures if this might bother you.

Lake water was refreshing for swimming on warm days when I was there in mid-May. Lake water was clear and pebble footing was clean and not gunky.

Staff were very friendly and took excellent care of the property. Garbage and recycling are available and water spigots are located throughout the campground. No dump station at the campground but there is a public RV dump in the town of Summerland about 15 mins to the south plus 2 more in Penticton, all listed on Campendium.

Large open grassy area with waterfront picnic tables available for anyone to enjoy. Excellent kids play jungle gym adjacent to comfort station. There is some highway noise but the highway is high up on the hill and the campground is at water level so overall it is not too bad.

Gorgeous 1 km trail from the day use area at the top of the hill with incredible views to the Okanagan Lake North Campground. Another trail connects the north and south campgrounds at water level but was blocked by a fallen tree.

Easy striking distance to Kelowna to the north and Penticton to the south. I recommend the Penticton Farmers Market at 100 Main St on Saturday mornings May to Oct, It is huge! Go hungry and empty your fridge before you go!

Cell service on AT&T was good though it did oscillate between 3 and 4 bars on 4G. With booster I had no troubles inside my RV, booster not needed outside.
