Ample oversized parking, outdoor washrooms adjacent to upper parking lot. Building has indoor washrooms and a small gift shop selling indigenous art and snacks. No tourist information- that has moved to Kenora.

No signage prohibiting overnight parking but trucks come and go so it would be a noisy spot.

This sanidump station has 2 dumping bays that can be accessed from either direction with separate water fill. Pay station takes loonies and toonies - $5 needed to release the dump hatch.

Note dump station is closed and inaccessible behind a locked gate in the off-season. Open dates appear to be mid-march to Oct 31.

Easy to find following signs. Large puddle at the entrance to the dump but no big deal. Bring loonies and toonies for the machine.

Rinse water at dump and separate fresh water fill. Perfect! Thank you Pemberton!

Short drive off highway 1 and located adjacent to Canmore visitor centre. Free dump and fill open in the summer season only.

Opens on the May long weekend, Victoria Day weekend, which is the weekend before Memorial Day weekend, usually around the 3rd week of May.

Closes after the Thanksgiving long weekend which in Canada is usually around mid Oct give or take.

Easy to drive into - I gave it 2 stars for access due to the short operating season.

Sanidump located beside the main office building, just inside the entrance to the property. You can pay them directly if they are there or leave cash in a pay box outside the office if they are not there.

Driveway loops around the building so you can line up to dump. There is a spigot for fresh water fill by the building with a hose to reach the asphalt about 20 feet away.

Possible vehicles might be in the way - there was a truck blocking access to line up but a man came and moved it right away so it was no problem

Located right off the TransCanada Highway, the Golden Visitor Centre has a dump station for $7. There is an automated pay machine so it should be available 24/7. However, it was closed when we arrived in late October for the winter. Not sure the exact operating dates.

Note there is a free dump station in the town of Golden at the Golden Municipal Campground open to the end of October.

This campground is gated but not locked with a sign that says Everyone Welcome but call to register. I arrived in late October, called and and left a message, then went in and picked a spot to set up. Some friendly people came by to register me and collect $20 within an hour or so.

Campsites are not clearly defined - there is an open area where you can camp on the grass in the sunshine or if you prefer, there is a wooded area closer to the river where you can set up. I believe there are some full hookup sites for an additional fee.

Garbage receptacles throughout the camp plus some playground equipment. Baseball fields nearby. There is a friendly man who lives on site and is currently working on improvements to the main building.

In summer, they host a big event here during which the campground is filled to capacity. It appears this property belongs to a community organization that is focused on recreation and conservation and they are doing a good job taking care of the land and ensuring it is available for the community to enjoy.

RV Dump is located in the breezeway between two buildings with good accessibility and high clearance. Located less than 1 km drive off hwy 17 and close to the ferry terminal.

Dump is only open during business hours which are Mon – Fri 8 – 5 and Sat 9 – 5. Outside these hours, the dump cover is locked. During business hours it is unlocked but you need to go inside to pay the $7 fee. Car wash is open 24 hours. This is an RV supply store, dealer and repair shop so you can stock up on whatever you need while you are here. Unfortunately, they will not comp the dump fee for making a small purchase as the cost of pumping out the holding tank is quite high on the island. Please take care of this dump station so they can keep it open as it is the only dump not affiliated with an RV park at this end of the island.

Note there is a brand new Canadian Tire store directly across the street. Their parking lot isn’t huge but there would be space to park overnight and there was no prohibiting signage so you could potentially overnight there if needed. Best to get permission from the manager and make a purchase if you want to stay overnight – Canadian Tire sells auto supply and household goods so there is lots to choose from.

This campground is part of Canada's National Park system. To stay here, you must also purchase a day pass (annual passes for all Canadian National Parks are available, compare to America the Beautiful passes) which also provides day use access to the beaches, trails and visitor centre in the National Park.

This campground is generally booked up all the time. We were able to snag sites without a reservation on weeknights in October but not for the thanksgiving long weekend (no surprise there). Reserve in advance online ($11 additional reservation fee) if you want to be sure to get a spot.

Great location along the highway between Tofino and Ucluelet, closer to pricier Tofino. Beautiful new comfort stations with showers, though the hot water wasn't working at one of them while we were there.

Sites 41-47 are considered less desirable as they are quite close and within view of the highway. Having said that, we weren't smoked out when we stayed at site 41 the first night. The second night we were deep in the forest at site 65 and the campfire smoke was thick and choking. Given the choice, I would take highway noise over smoke. But that's just me.

Dump station is located just before the gate but is only for campers. Very poorly graded, the ground slopes the wrong way for your tanks to drain out. Sigh. Line up as close as possible and/or drive up on blocks on the off side to tilt your rig to drain. There is a separate fresh water fill at the dump plus water spigots located throughout the campground.

Truck stop with gas and diesel. Overnight RV parking allowed but the posted signs say 8 hour time limit which doesn’t make sense….showers available for $8 but that doesn’t include a towel. I didn’t try them out, I only called to ask.

Lot was busy with trucks but it seemed quieter at the back where there was an RV parked.
