Heading back to AZ from IA. Called this WalMart and they said RV overnights allowed but please park away from store on outskirts of parking lot. Pulled in and found the perfect level spot next to the curb with a lone tree and empty fields. The store was very clean. The parking lot was quiet, well lit and we felt safe. We were the only RV there all night; a couple semis did roll in after we were asleep. For a quick stop as you’re passing through, we recommend and would stay again.

After a long day of driving looking for a quick in/out stop for the night. Called the store and they said overnight parking in their lot is allowed asking us to be towards the back ( closer to Hobby Lobby). We arrived right before dark. There were 4-6 other RVs there and we were able to be relatively level. The Walmart store itself was very clean. A gas station/convenience store and other food options within walking distance. Overall a great place to stay overnight with quick access on/off I-40.

This Was Our First Stop From Phoenix To Iowa. Pulled In At 4:30. A Couple RVs Already There. Separate parking for cars/RVs vs semi trucks so pretty quiet. Got a great Spot On Circular Curb (allowing For Our Slide To Be Out On Non Road Side); relatively level. On Site Security Guard Patrolled All Night. Bathrooms Very Clean. A Bonus Are The Amazing Views! Would definitely recommend for an overnight FREE stay!

Looking for a quick stop on way to Iowa. Saw this on Campendium and looked at their website as well. Called and spoke with owner to ensure pull-through spots were level and park had shower house as we weren’t going unhook and utilize their full hookups. Went ahead and booked online as received 10% off coupon code. It was an easy off/on Hwy 49. Upon entry we were greeted by a camp host/helper and directed to our wonderful end/pull-through/level spot w/wonderful grassy area next to us. The park is small/quaint & quiet w/spotless shower house/restrooms. Park even has 2 storm shelters on site. If we weren’t anxious to get to our final destination, we would have definitely unhooked and stayed longer. We absolutely recommend this park and look forward to staying here again!

We were in the area for almost 3weeks to spend time with family. The RV park lots are graveled pull-throughs and curbed with railroad ties with grass between each. They are relatively level and spaced well. There seemed to be several long term residents but they were quiet and kept sites clean. The Wi-Fi was spotty but decent (maybe because we were one of the furthest lots). The free cable TV, however, was fabulous! If you plan on taking advantage of the shower house (like we did), they were functional but could definitely be updated and cleaned more frequently. RV’ers had access to the hotel pool/spa; we didn’t use but at a glance seemed clean. There is a city brush dump at the end of park so vehicles pass by all day long within feet behind spaces. The worst part of the park is the noise from Hwy 34 and multiple train tracks (constant day/night with semi trucks downshifting/braking, rusted out loud trucks roaring by and then trains sounding their long/shrill horns). The park served its purpose as just a 5-minute drive to family.

We are full-time RVers from AZ looking to find a cooler climate to spend the hot summer away from Phoenix area. We called Munds Park RV 3/13/23 & they told us they had a couple RV sites w/full hookups remaining for June-Aug in brand new phase opening this year. We had stayed at Munds Park for a month years ago in an older phase & enjoyed it for most part so decided to go for it! We did their required first step & paid $30 ($15 per RV occupant) to run background checks. Once cleared, we completed an application, provided copies of our drivers licenses, proof of insurance and 2+ pics of RV & paid/received receipt for $850 (1st month rent). Never heard anything more from them so 2 weeks prior to our 6/1/23 check-in (which aligned w/their policy to be able to cancel for a refund less a $250 fee), we called to check status & confirm reservation. They said everything in new phase set & good to go! On 5/31/23 we packed up RV to disconnect/pullout the next morning from the park we spent May at & head north to Munds Park for 3 months of cooler weather! BUT @ 5pm (only 19 hours before our scheduled & confirmed check-in), Munds Park calls us indicating we would not have sewer or water hookups as they are having issues w/County approving those connections in the new phase. We were told they didn’t know when those approvals would occur. Instead trucks would come thru a couple times/week to fill RV water tanks and pump out waste tanks. Problem is, we paid for convenience of full hookups & no discount for lack of sewer/water connections would be given. Our issue wasn’t so much the delay in getting approval (as we know how dealing w/govt agencies can be) but rather that Munds Park never made an earlier courtesy call to alert us of the situation nor did they even mention it when we called 2 weeks prior; Instead they gave us less than a 24-hour notice! Of course at this late date everything in Flagstaff area is booked solid w/waiting lists (which they, of course, knew & were simply counting on folks feeling stuck/desperate which is probably why they waited last minute to notify us). It’s just inconsiderate and sneaky on their part! We decided to go ahead & they did issue a full refund except the $30 in credit report fees. We drove by the park a couple times on 6/5 and from I17 the new phase is very close to the interstate, no trees/shade & doesn’t look complete & inviting (especially for a 3-month stay)… so glad we cancelled! Should you decide to book a reservation here, just beware and ask what phase you’ll be in, confirm hookups and make sure you’re getting what you’re paying for!!!

We were looking for an easy on/off of I-40 while traveling from Iowa to Arizona. We didn’t want to unhook truck from trailer so the long pull through spaces caught our eye. Upon checking in at the hotel desk, we were assigned a space and were pleasantly surprised with the level gravel lot, rolled curbing and spacing between rigs. We only used electric so can’t speak to the available water and sewer. Since we didn’t want to hookup to water, we did want to use their shower facilities, so be sure and ask for the voucher if needed. The showers were a short walk to the travel center and very clean/private with double sinks and spacious snail walk-in showers (they even provide towels, washcloths, and bath mat). We also walked over to the casino and took advantage of their free play for their club. Even played my favorite roulette on an actual table. Ate a yummy reasonably priced dinner at the casino. It was very quiet (could barely hear I-40) and beautiful views. A few slight negatives and things to note: 1) they promote free wi-fi but we were placed at the back of park and not at all in range 2) absolutely zero TV stations for antenna scanning, however upon talking to another guest he told us a few stations available via cable connection (which was never told to us upon check-in); we connected and did get about 20 stations). 3) Overall the customer service attitude was unfriendly (ie registration desk, casino players club/cashier window, McDonalds at Travel Center) 4) Finally, if you enjoy a beer/cocktail at your site after a long day of travel, be sure you have some in your rig as they do not sell alcohol in the reservation (except in the casino restaurant/lounge). Just wanted to give our full perspective of this RV park. Considering all the pros/cons and the very reasonable price, we would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at Pueblo El Mirage from 11/1/22-4/5/23. The positives are: All facilities and grounds are in good condition and well kept. The sites are roomy and spaced well. It’s a gated community so felt safe and we had no problems with theft (both on leaving personal items out and on having deliveries left at site). There is a Wal-Mart and other shopping/restaurants relatively close by. We would say the only negatives (but they are big ones) are: The multitude of non-stop golf carts and the traffic within the park AND what seems to be constant, obnoxiously LOUD jet noise on most weekdays from the Air Force base (as RV park is directly in the flight path… and they launch/fly a lot (7:15am to as late as 10:45pm)!! Like we said, the park has good/nice points, but for us, the mentioned negatives were so annoying/unpleasant that we would not consider another stay here.
