This is a good spot with a good gravel road coming from the small housing area you drive through. Very clean vault toilet. Nice maintained trail thru the native palms oasis. There is also a spot multiple rigs can fit in up the hill overlooking this area with a view of the Salton sea. Road in is directly across from the main Salton sea state recreation area.

The “electrician” that came to check on the power insisted on turning on the power at the pole though my device showed a red & green light. I found him holding my gfi plug in his hand while flames were coming out of the access hole! Needless to say I turned off power and put it out. Then kicked him out of my home he almost burned down. Not to mention he blew the inverter from my solar system.
The bathrooms and showers were horrible. We left the next morning.

I stopped just to walk my dog and check to see if I could stop For a night on my way back south. The sign said no overnight stays and the bathrooms were locked. They may still allow use of the dump station but not sure there was water available. It’s just a pull through parking area on the main road.

Very easy place to find not far off the main roads thru the area. I found a flat large site with a fire pit very quickly. I was able to put some distance between myself and others boondocking, I like to do that so I can walk my dog without a leash, and the cat follows too! I could hear quail and coyote in the distance. Lots of good vegetation around like saguaro and other cactus, small trees. I would think it would be too hot here in summer as not much shade to speak of but very comfortable now.

This site is just amazing! I had a nice shady spot with the clean warm water just steps away. There is traffic on the road during the day with locals taking advantage of the boat ramps and spots to hang out but it’s quiet at night. I felt like I was in the Keys as I had a private white sand beach - all that was missing were palm trees, but the cottonwoods gave me shade. Left after 2 nights as the water level seemed to be rising toward me and the temps went into the mid 90s. Free electric sites at a town park nearby were too tempting to resist. There are vault toilets in a few places. Otherwise no services. Please take trash out - I picked up trash around me that others left.

this is essentially a parking lot with an area set aside for RVs, but there is a water spigot to use when its turned on. I believe its about Memorial Day that you start to pay $12, i was told if the water is not on its free. When you need to pay, there is a box set up with envelopes and a place to put your payment.
The road noise is a problem at times as it seems there are people racing their engines on the surrounding streets at all hours.
Its next to the Alaska Salmon bake at Pioneer park which had a special preseason bake starting Mothers Day for that whole week. For $17.99 you got a choice of main meal, soft drinks, salad, coffee and dessert. Easy access off the main road, was easy to find, and had great ATT reception. Pioneer park was not officially open, but it was accessible for walking and there were a lot of families picnicing on a Sunday in the nice weather. The museum was open as well, I think aircraft.

No waiting in line to get back into Grand Canyon np daily. The road is off the parks rim road. You go south and make sure you pass the cattle guard which is the border of the national park and the national forest. There are spots in the woods that already have fire rings built of stone. Nice flat area and found hardly any wet areas from snow melt at this time. In any case, ruts were soft so not much problem if encountered. Had very good cell service - better than in the park, even at the visitor centers. Some atvs go buy but not very often. And they don’t race like at some areas near here like cinder hills.

This is essentially a gravel parking lot. Power pole is shared between two sites. They park you
Facing your neighbors door- picnic tables are old and next to your neighbors table. Bathrooms clean but basic. Could use better shower heads. Trains going by pretty close. Planes coming in for a landing overhead. They have amenities but this isn’t really a place to vacation.

This campsite is close to town with local shuttle into Banff. Park along a road with table & electric. Unfortunately we got here in time for an early snowstorm- so far 6”!!! It’s been snowing for 2 days, they tell us this is unusual. Camping is also close to
The hot springs, grocery store, etc but far enough out of town for Mountain View’s. Bathrooms are spotless & there are wood stoves in the picnic shelters.

I took the road out here to look at the campsites. The road is paved a few miles & goes past some businesses & homes, then becomes a gravel road in good shape until you get out near the lake. There is a wider area to allow for turning or camping by the side of the road, with some fire pits made from rocks. Shortly after that area the road becomes a narrow track & when I went down that a very short distance the road had a drop & there was water ahead. I would not go past that area without a special vehicle (see Wikipedia). The surrounding area is soft tundra, boggy & has a few trees. Not easy for walking or hiking & I would guess as our weather warms will become very buggy.
