So appreciate this dump site. Convenient and clean (as much as a dump site can be). Bathrooms right there as well. Water to clean and fill. Thank you City of Del Norte.
If you are looking for somewhere to stop, rest and rejuvenate this is the place. The soaking springs were unbelievable. The spa was much needed. Dinner and bar was excellent. The staff did a great job.
However, the campground needs some work. Not the most aesthetically appealing to the eyes. A lot of “stuff” around that could be cleaned up and straightened up. The camp sights are compact. No sewer hook up. You have to pay $20 to dump. Probably the biggest need, for over 20 something sights there is ONE communal bathroom with ONE shower. Had to wait in line to take a shower. So, no sewer hook up, one shower makes it a project of planning your bathroom experience.

Had a great time camping here. Beauty, space, grounds were well taken care of. Only complaint, more like a question, why do campers have to have sooo many dogs? Not just one but two, three and even more. When one barks they ALL start barking and it always has to be at like, 6am.
Outside of being woken at 6am by a chorus of dogs it was great.

Beautiful location but watch out for the rattle snakes that are plentiful in the area. Watch your step and keep your pets close or you might have to take them to the local vet.

If you value your camper you will pass on this campsite. The road to get there is forever and filled with rocks, holes and washed out areas. Not recommend if you value your camper staying together.

A supper bumpy road coming in. Washboard roads and potholes. The campground itself is very small with only two sites for campers over 20ft. Sites very close to each other. A one and done for me.

Really enjoyed this state park. Great campsites, clean bathrooms, reasonably priced and wonderful views all around. I would go back again.

Ok, here is my rant. Pay top $$$$ and get price gouged at the same time. Park is in the city. That’s fine, I knew that. So I don’t mind the sirens, traffic noise and lack of scenic views.
Cost of the campsite was $41 a day plus you have to pay $11 for parking. Ok, I guess it’s a privilege to camp in the city. But then I went to take a shower and to my suprise it cost money to take a shower. 1.50 for 5min of water. What an insult! To pay $52 a night and then on top of it get insulted by having to pay for a shower. I’ve been through many states and camped at many state parks. Colorado and it’s elitist mentality just blows my mind. Do yourself a favor and blow right by this park. Better yet find a private campsite and give them your hard earned money instead of a state that doesn’t consider its residents or it’s visitors.
