Lots of things to do at the resort from pool to bowling, but the roads north and south of Granby are pothole hell in 2023. CDOT does not seem to care about filling the potholes on the state highways that lead to Granby. They could swallow a Fiat. We were there for a RV event and people were breaking suspension components or in our case the first time in 30,000 miles of RV’ing in 4 years have a latched refrigerator pop open and first time for souvenir magnets fly off the refrigerator door. Roads are even worst than I-40 in AZ west of Flagstaff. I’m not going back there again.

They are under new ownership and the old website was never taken down. I called on 4/19/22 and the answering machine stated no short term reservations, i.e. overnight.

No frills basic pull through campsite with lots of full timers, but we’ll maintained rigs. You pay at the sign post at the entrance to the actual campground which is a few hundred yards off the side road, honor system like NP. It is a one lane gravel road to get campground, but trees are pretty much clear for big rigs there is mud on the side of the gravel road so stay on the road. We stopped in after a late afternoon departure from St Louis heading east to MD. Only $30 for our 30 amp connection. It is $35 for a 50 amp on the same post. Water here is limited since they are on a well which is why a reduction of one star. Dumping is $20, but neither of these are major issues since we only wanted electrical our rig cooked all day on I-70 and was in the high 80’s inside and still in the high 70’s outside so Cracker Barrell would have been a tough night and I don’t like running my portable generator in the city even locked to a trailer jack.

We start our summer RV season here as a test run. Super clean, easy and friendly. Great base to explore Bridgeport, and all along 108. Don’t miss Walker Burger! Nice pool, dog friendly.
Army Corp site that was shutdown for 2 years for COVID (stupid) and opened again 4/1/22. They lock the front gate 10pm-10am which means you can’t get back in driving it out visiting friends late and have to exit on a lane with a deep pothole by the gate that can rip off a leveling jack on a fifth wheel. They also are not using the typical 2 camp host sites by the gate, but have given away at least 4 sites (nice ones) in the campground to host, lawn keepers, etc. Off season no problem, but very frustrating when you can find a site on a warm Spring weekend. We had to move from our reserved #16 site since the electrical all the way in the back, but tree would have been hitting my fifth wheel rig without even putting slides out. I asked to trim the tree, but not allowed. Had to loose one night cost to move to another site with more trees, but at least trimmed. Not all trees over the road are trimmed, including approaching to entrance.
