This entire park is first come first serve and there is no shortage of people looking to come find a spot. We got lucky and did get a spot as we got here at 730 in the morning.
( total 3 spots opened that Sunday ). This park has a outstanding location 3 miles from west Yellowstone which has everything you could need. The park is well maintained and the park was well laid out. That said this park is along a major 65 mph road. It’s not right on the road but you can hear trucks as they pass from a distance. The other side of the park is along the Madison river and is very pretty but due to being very warm in the 70’s this August, the fishing in this part of the river was not great at this time. ( fish leave this section for colder waters). Great fishing can be found not far away though and did land some beautiful 17-20 inch cutthroats. We would definitely return and stay here. If you are coming from a place far away and take the gamble you may want to find a spot nearby with reservations and then scout this location or show early to try to get a spot. Place was full Entire time we were there. This park offers power and non power spots 20 a night / 28 a night with power. Water is located through out the park and trash was near the main host entrance. We had AT&T and had 1- 2 bars of LTE which was usable but slow at times. With a phone booster we had 4 bars and very quick.

There are miles of diapered camping in this area. Some area are defiantly better then others. Make sure to get the maps for the area and know what is legal or not. The area itself is quiet ( really quiet ) Occasional off road vehicles go down the roads. Convenient to the lakes in the area and the fishing was good when we went. No massive fish but plenty of trout for the kids to catch. Watch for fire restrictions as Arizona often has them. Had a great peaceful time. Would go again. Be aware the dirt is this area is like power and makes a total mess and sticks to everything. We had full AT&T service and could work with it.

Casino is nice and the spot is great for a pit stop. Spaces are not big but big enough and are pull through’s. Full hook up. Can’t beat it considering there is on site entertainment. AT&T showed 2 bars of LTE but is not usable. Rv park has free WiFi that can be used if needed.

Spoke to some locals in the area and they state Mack’s purchased this land and closed the dump. Not sure it will reopened again. So don’t throw in all your chips thinking your gonna dump here. 20 miles to the south is a dump station off the Henry’s fork which is open.

We were passing threw the area and figured the Koa is family friendly and safe. This place turned out to be a lot of fun and super cute for the kids. The staff was great, the have the train, play area with jump pad and a pool. They offered dancing and ice cream. Way better experience then expected. Would recommend it. There is some road noise but not unbearable by any means.

Upon arrival, the staff is super nice and professional. That’s where this story ends. The spots are tighter then anything I’ve ever seen. They offer a Hi low to park you cause I assume most vehicles can not get the trailer In or out of the spots with out it. Most units are less then a couple feet of touching each other once parked. This place would be okay if they widen spots even 5-6 feet to be usable and cut out a few spots. It was so bad when we arrived even with a hi low and only having a 30 foot trailer, it was so tight we decided to leave and found another place to stay last minute. While doing this, a vehicle backed out of there space and hit a 5th wheel trailer due to not being able to back out without a multi turn turn. That was our final decision To leave. Otherwise the pool seemed like it would be okay and the other features. We did not stay long enough to find out. Location is good.

We divided to get out for a weekend and have gave this location a try. Park was nice, clean and felt very safe. DNR was there constantly. Our spot was private and many spaces were nice. This is a big riders location and bikes, quads, side by sides can be heard at all hours. The park closes at night and you have to be in before that time or you will be locked out. Overall we had a nice time and would go back again. This is a cool location when the other areas are still covered in snow. The lake is pretty and has good fishing. About 45 minutes away from Zion and about the same for snow canyon. Both worth checking out. Att had good phone service.

We booked spot 21. The issue became it is not as described. There is a tree in the spot making in very tight to get in and out and it sits in a incline with a slide slope. Due to this we left spot 21 and went to 17. The host will charge you full price to Meg spots and we contacted rec.gov. Well see how that works out. The camp ground is pretty. Very quiet and nice. Kent lake is very pretty but 2 years in a row have yet to meet anyone who catches fish here. We love it here and will be back. Zero cell service unless you have a cell extender in this area for att. Friends of ours have nothing with sprint also.

We stayed at this location for 4 nights while we checked out the area and Yellowstone. Yellowstone was right about 30 minutes from here and there was a gas station about 5 minutes away. Laundry was located down the road about 15 minutes away. The location was convenient without being around a ton of people at or around the park. The park itself is very well maintained and the camp host is outstanding, one of the best I’ve seen. Very friendly and on top of things. There was some noise from the main road but was not bad by any means ( not a crazy busy road). This place is on the Henry’s fork and has a boat launch. The fishing is good but you do have to fish it from a boat or kayak. The sides of the river were several feet of thick weeds and impossible to fish unless you get to the center of the river. The site was very clean and level. Site 11 is considered a double site and has plenty of room and was nice for the kids and dog. We have AT&T and had good phone service and could even use FaceTime.

The space was nice and the park is very cool. Was worth visiting and checking out. We landed up being there during a heat wave and it was very hot there. It appears they are building a new area which will be full hook ups and seems nice. That said we had read reviews about the bugs and boy there were not kidding. Thousands of them and were all over. Because of the bugs there is no way my wife is willing to go again otherwise I though it was cool. We have att and had very limited cell.
