Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on August 18, 2020Park along the road anywhere you want. We found a beautiful spot about 3 miles in . Level , among the pines, and big enough for our 39' Fleetwood Excursion. We had the whole place to ourselves during the week, and a few people on the weekend.
It was close to the cute town of Williams, AZ. We even took the train to the Grand Canyon from there. Thunderstorms during the afternoon, left us with an amazing sunset every night!! Can't wait to return

I visited the arrived first week of March, there were patches of snow and road was muddy. This being the case, I parked at the first clearing on R side of road. There has been a lot of logging in the area, the negative is the openness and muddy roads, positive is the free scraps for firewood. This was recommended to me by the staff at visitor center, plus I remember seeing it on campedium. Since I did park in first space, about 1000' from road (4th ST from town) there is some road noise.

We can’t tear in our travel trailer for two weeks. Very peaceful. A great place for ATV riding. Tons of trails. We visited the lake about 3.5 miles from our campsite. We saw elk, deer, sheep squirrels and chipmunks in a large variety of birds. Can’t wait to come back here

This is a great location. Just a short less than 10 miles to the town of Williams. Restaurants, shopping, laundry. The area is fun for 4-wheeling. Some lakes in the area for fishing. All around fun area.

Overall nice place to camp. Noisy atvs on weekends tho. Very clean . Would not want to be caught in muddy areas if heavy rain. Lots of ruts

I guess the star rating depends on which side you decide to park. We were downwind so we got A LOT of dust from dirt bikes, ATVs and even vehicles speeding through. With windy days, it can get pretty dirty. There were a LOT of rutted ingress roads, so you need to scout out the places of interest.
Place is very busy on weekends with fishermen added to the mix of RV campers.
Location is close to grocery (Safeway and Dollar General.) Potable water and Trash/Garbage disposal is available for a fee at Canyon Motel and RV Park. As of this writing. water is $10 for up to 50 gal., $15 for up to 75 gal. Trash/garbage disposal is $2.50 for 1 - 50 gal. bag (hint: get a contractors trash bag) Sewer dump available at Love's and Canyon Motel and RV Park -- though we didn't need this since we have a compostable toilet. Just putting the information out there for those that need it.
Would stay here again, except would find a spot upwind to avoid the dust.

I work teach classes online and chose this area because of the great internet signal reviews. There were, in fact, 3 bars and a strong signal. However, too many people streaming. We were there during the week and it didn't seem that crowded. We have a WeBoost antenna and several back-up options (couple of hotspots, TEP, Visible)... it was a no go. Had to leave. So, if you're checking email, it's probably fine. Beautiful area - great temps in June (cold at night, though), nice little lake to go kayaking or fishing... wish we could have stayed longer.
