The only water source is at the dump station. Those who use it to fill your tanks are taking a huge risk in getting sick. Dump station flushing water only.

Wonderful owners, beautiful grounds that are well maintained, very inexpensive ($34), all sites full hookup, amazing and clean laundry and shower/bathrooms, view of Crazy Horse, and next to Mickelson Trail. Riding my bike instead of driving the 2 miles to Crazy Horse saved $ on fees and provided a great way to get around the area.

Private sites with lots of trees and foilage. No hookups. Easy assess off highway. Dirt road through campground is filled with deep potholes and narrow, but I managed to get my class C 24' through without issues going very slow. Dump station, water throughout + to fill tanks, bathouse available (didn't use). Small day use area with pond. Some highway noise but not bad. Quiet on a Friday night during peak season (Jan on a warm day). $20/nt or $10 with federal pass. No trails but great cell service with Verizon. May be difficult to get adequate solar in many spots. Would stay again

Road in is paved until the campground, then it is packed gravel, wide, and in good condition. First come/served (25) campsites are large, with packed gravel, firepit, table, and in good condition. All sites are primitive except for 1 with electric (unsure if works). Most sites are decently spaced with some privacy from neighbors. Most sites will fit any sized rig. Bathhouse in center was heated, relatively clean but older, has flush toilets, and a shower with push button (didnt use). Trash and water spigot with threads to fill tanks. No dump. River access and kayak launch area, and river view from a few spots. Friday afternoon in mid March 2024 there was 6 to 8 other campers spread out and polite. Except for a lot of ohvs, a few day hikers, and lookers driving through the campground on the weekend, it was pleasant and very quiet. Great dark skies for star gazing. Caution this place is a flash flood area, which was evident when we arrived a day after heavy rains.

First day on 2023 season and we are very disappointed to see they have cut most of the trees down in the RV section to make ski trails. Nearly all sites are now along the road with no vegetation or privacy. The roads are awful and sites so uneven from heavy equipment. Only site 5, 8-11 have a few trees left. Site 1 has been spared, is huge, and by itself but is on the main road, which is busy on the weekends; thankfully it was available as site 11 was so uneven and dug up I thought I would get stuck. Low tree branches prohibited going into #8 & 9. Not worth the $50/nt to be here. Electric and water at RV sites, dump along the roadway, bathrooms. Will not return.

Grear staff, nice grounds, full hookup spots, pets-friendly, and amazing long-range views. Easy roads in and throughout campground. Will fit all sized rigs. It is along a road but it is not as busy with traffic like most of the other rv parks in this area. Thus, traffic noise was minimal and non-existant at night. Sites are pretty close together with no privacy, and nearly all the grounds are gravel, so it is not really a great place to congregate outside or give pets much place to pee (except a steep grassy hillside). Most people are here for exploring downtown, and the trolley stop is conveniently located at to the campground. Laundry machines are excellent ($1.75 each), and the bathrooms clean with several showers. Excellent free wifi. Seasonal pool. Good spot if you're here for the town; otherwise more camping is within 30 min at Beaver lake.

Riverview campground is decent with large sites that have moderate spacing between neighbors, electric, and water hookups (water off till Apr). Dump is 1/2 mi up road at kiosk as well as a seperate water fill (in front of building).
However, site 7 is ridiculously unlevel but has a very long driveway. Still, it took some effort to get level, and I had to use at 25' extension cord to reach the pedestal.
The major issue we had with site 7 is that campers and random locals felt it necessary to walk through to the back of our the site to take a very narrow and obscure/ unmarked trail behind our picnic table (not intended for day use) to get to the water even though public access is just a few yards away. We even had someone park in our campsite when we went to the dump! Avoid 7 if possible unless you want unwanted traffic.

Campsites are lined up next to each other with no privacy and little space. Sites have 50/30amp, fire ring, small concrete pad but mostly grass, and a picnic table. Dump station with a seperate water fill at entrance. Bathroom is old, poorly placed so it was very far away for us, and too small for the number of people. It did have 2 shower stalls that were free (didn't use). Small store with a craft/rec room attached and a playground. Saturdays look like a refugee camp with so many campers squeezed together. A few trails and nice views of the lake (and nuclear power plant which kinda ruins the view). I would not consider this a destination for camping but rather a decent overnight stop. Good Verizon coverage.

I stayed in the pet-permitted area (Shotwell sites T101-137) in Apr 2023 during the week in site 132 which is in an open grassy field with 3 other sites (spread out but no privacy for these 4 sites). Many other sites where large enough to fit my 25' class C with lots of trees and privacy but limited solar. It was mostly empty while we were here.
This is dry camping with mostly outhouses scattered throughout, although 1 building with flush toilets is in the loop near lean-tos (no showers). There is no place to fill an RV with water since none of the threaded water spigots worked; however, there is a flowing spring to fill containers with water on the way in (can be so crowded with locals making it difficult to drive past to get to campsites). The road to Shotwell camping is horrendous, very narrow and 1 lane for several miles. I would be hesitant to come on a busy weekend with a large rig or if towing since there is really limited places to allow for passing. No dump station. Excellent Verizon coverage. Constant distant traffic noise but not audible inside RV. Beautiful forest, lots of trails, including the AT nearby, and minutes from Delaware Gap Natln Rec Area. Minutes to towns for supplies as well as a few RV stores/shops. Check in at visitor's center prior to setting up.
Of note, I wouldn't venture beyond the grassy field (site 134) in a large RV or if towing as the road gets even more narrow and ends abruptly with no room to turn around in anything bigger than a van.

Dump station along west side of gas station (auto side) near dog park and air/water machine for autos. $10 to dump. Go inside to get it unlocked and pay.
Seperate water fill in front of dog park gate (about 15 feet in front of dump station). No sign about fees. I asked store attendants about potability and they confirmed it was safe.
Area was clean and tidy when I used it Jan 2024. Best to come in from the south to line up with the dump.
