Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on September 13, 2022We are in Site 134 on shotwell loop across from a pretty pond. This site is on a small meadow with 2 other sites. All sites are large and have picnic tables and fire pits. There are no trees between these 3 sites but the spaces are large enough that privacy is not an issue. There are no hookups. Dry camping only. The open site will be good for charging our solar panels. We did pass other sites that are in the trees if you prefer that. T-Mobil signal is good here. Pets allowed with $5 fee per night. Some highway noise. We did not use bathroom or shower so can’t comment on that aspect.

We stayed for a long weekend in September in site T124. Lot was wooded and level and had primitive bathrooms.
Finding water to fill our trailer was a challenge. The water pumps in the camping area were turned off so we had to drive back to the water spigot that says ‘only use for bottle filling’. (This water had a line constantly of people filling up cases / containers. )
Roads leading up to the site need some attention.
Had 3-4 bars of service with AT&T.
Had 2-3 bars on spectrum (version)
Convenient to plenty of hiking trails.

I stayed in the pet-permitted area (Shotwell sites T101-137) in Apr 2023 during the week in site 132 which is in an open grassy field with 3 other sites (spread out but no privacy for these 4 sites). Many other sites where large enough to fit my 25' class C with lots of trees and privacy but limited solar. It was mostly empty while we were here.
This is dry camping with mostly outhouses scattered throughout, although 1 building with flush toilets is in the loop near lean-tos (no showers). There is no place to fill an RV with water since none of the threaded water spigots worked; however, there is a flowing spring to fill containers with water on the way in (can be so crowded with locals making it difficult to drive past to get to campsites). The road to Shotwell camping is horrendous, very narrow and 1 lane for several miles. I would be hesitant to come on a busy weekend with a large rig or if towing since there is really limited places to allow for passing. No dump station. Excellent Verizon coverage. Constant distant traffic noise but not audible inside RV. Beautiful forest, lots of trails, including the AT nearby, and minutes from Delaware Gap Natln Rec Area. Minutes to towns for supplies as well as a few RV stores/shops. Check in at visitor's center prior to setting up.
Of note, I wouldn't venture beyond the grassy field (site 134) in a large RV or if towing as the road gets even more narrow and ends abruptly with no room to turn around in anything bigger than a van.
