Let’s not misinterpret the title as negative. We have a 27 foot Airstream and we very much enjoyed our stay and WILL be back. The challenge for big rigs (class A and large 5th wheelers) are the trees.
The trees are the charm of the park and yet a challenge for large rigs. The owner loves her trees and she should. They give the park a natural and comfortable feel. But she will not be trimming the trees to accommodate taller rigs.
We had site 47 on the water. Not the best water view but it was still very nice. Hurricane Sally destroyed quite a bit of the areas beach walls, but the beach walking is still nice. Keep in mind this is the bay, not the pure white sands of Navarro Beach. Which is just a 10 minute drive across the causeway. Worth the short trip!
There is a very nice gathering area with a fire pit, benches and chairs, corn hole and a few other games and a lit with string lights. Only negative is a bit busy the state highway is busy until 10 pm.

Easy access off Hwy 160. Friendly staff greated us in the drive. Not a big park but unique in design with a mix of tent loops, smaller parallel spots on the east side and more spacious spots with views west to town and the mountains on the west side. We had spot 10, large and level. The sun sets were awesome. As other reviews have mentioned, this used to be a KOA (not a bad thing). It is a 15 minute drive to town and is on the more desert side of town. The west and north sites do have road noice from hwy 160, but it dies down after 10p. In all we would stay again.

Stayed here for a week on business. Location is right on a river making for some nice walks and views. Lots of permanent residents and the streets and sites in the park are TIGHT. We stayed up front near the entrance and our spot had plenty of room.
Other details - Restraunt and bar overlook the river. Live music on the back deck was really nice. A the sunset was actually worth watching on the river.
Nothing wrong with this park and the money was right.

Overall very nice park. Large level spots. Our site 4 was a pull thru and can accommodate a 50 foot rig.
Store is cute with lots of handmade trinkets. Park is family owned, staff is friendly. Former KOA. Beautiful tres, plenty of shade in the summer.
We would stay again, but further back in the park. The interstate is a bit noisy for us.

Beautiful park on Hilton Head Island. But not buried in the busy island. It’s just over the bridge which makes it easy to get to the island or to the cute city of Beaufort SC in short time.
This is a true resort but you pay for it. We choose site 61 on the Marina - so pretty. Sites are very large, level and well maintained. Very easy check-in (entrance can get tight) I love that when you arrive they let you pick your spot!
Good not great restaurant on site. Boat and kayak rentals available.

We stopped for one night on the way back to Dallas. Surprising nice little campground. Our spot was level and long enough as not un-hook. It was on the honor system (cash in an envelope) . As we left, looked to have a few nice walks and overlooks to a river or bayou. Quite!

Like most Colorado parks, all sites are dirt/gravel. So it can be a bit dusty. The lot we were in B-35 was fairly level. Very nice laundry room and bathrooms were very clean with nice showers. Sites are fairly close together so depending on your site, you may not have much of a patio. The property is built into a hill, so the views to the south are beautiful. Folks are very nice and helpful. We would return.

We had a very nice stay. Like most Colorado RV sites, it can be a bit dusty. But they have a lot of the little stuff that makes your stay comfortable: quiet hours after 10, they bring ice or firewood directly to you, have coffee and breakfast 7-8a, live music and BBQ on certain nights, text reminders and friendly staff. We have dogs, so it was nice to take a short walk out of the park to more open spaces. If you are a cyclist, county road 17 is a great gravel ride to town!

RV Parks in Colorado are usually dusty and tight. Royal View was a pleasant surprise. Staff is friendly and helpful. Location is easy access and close to the Royal Gorge. Sites are well maintained, Medium gravel and fairly level include picnic table and fire pit. Our site 20 had room for the 27 Airstream, truck and large patio. Very clean place. Would highly suggest.
