There are A LOT of places to park here. My preference was to stay out of the secluded woods for solar and better reception, but you can get most sized rigs through the numerous off shoot roads. Big 5th wheels I'd recommend you stay right off bootjack road.

Privacy is pretty great but expect ATV traffic and a lot of generator usage in the area if you park near folks not equipped with solar.

Verizon was decent but for you remote workers:

I use a roof mounted poynting mimo shark fin, pepwave BR1 router. Speed average: 30 up and down. After 8pm local time the tower would crawl to 3mbps or less until about 10pm. Latency was a bit high, expect this tower to making quite a few bounces before it hits an actual data hard line so expect some zoom calls to get a bit choppy but usable.

Prior reviewer was spot on: this is the only place for teens in Seminole to hang out on a Friday/Saturday night. Expect a loud, subwoofer banging, "my parent's bought me a new F250 I chopped the muffler off lets go burn the tires off" party spot until after 11pm.

My tip: arrive on a school night

Park is right in the center of the town, with 3-4 functional full hookups with sewer and dump. Some of the hookup stations have been hit my trucks, so they are off their concrete pad (pipes misaligned.)

Lots of Glass, Cigs, and garbage from the partying. In a pinch, I'd stay here again but then again, Waldocking vs this...its a toss up.

Insanely fast Verizon for pUDP :)

As is the story with most free parks in Texas, it can be a godsend in the middle of nowhere or a bit of a reminder that not all of us are RVing by choice. I arrived on a Saturday and 3/5 spots appeared taken, all by a very good stand-in for Breaking Bad RV of the year award. I want to be compassionate, but this was not the crowd I was going to park my family next to for a weekend when I have the chance to keep driving.

The tight, mostly sand back in spots are more than worth the trouble with all you can do here. A jungle setting with incredible plant and wildlife, the historic Koreshanity Settlement tour and a great trail system to bike/walk. Also, from what I hear, great kayaking.

Laundry and showers are showing their age, but easily accessible + recycling. The dump station was crude but functional, just not much of a pull over to allow vehicles to go around you.

Some of our neighbors were able to back in 35 foot+ 5th wheels but the vertical overgrowth poised some serious issues based on your spot. Easy place to take a solar panel or roof top antenna off so be cautious.

The digging experience is awesome, but I'd recommend staying elsewhere and driving in to do that activity. Sites are decent, relatively close without much privacy, but the winter months they seem to shutdown all but 1 restroom area and the laundry was unavailable. For half the price of this place I've received 2x the amenities.

Verizon nearly non existent in the park.

If you're looking for a bit of space and some green between you and the next site, book Henderson Beach State Park. That park is far and away a better spot all around but being 1/4 the size of Topsail, hard to book.

Topsail has great staff, amenities and relatively easy to navigate trails/roads. It can be a tight fit in the loops, so you Class A's may want to arrive before dark and get the swear jar out :)

We boondock primarily but wanted to have all the retail therapy and amazon locker access we could get for Christmas, Topsail fit the bill. I have nothing against parks like this, but you should know before you go, this will be a very communal event and one bad neighbor would be hard to ignore due to spacing.

After striking out in the Pahranagat Wildlife Area in Alamo, NV we kept on driving. Ward Mountain was lower on our list due to the late April cold but without many options we arrived just at dusk on a Sunday. The place is open without water or services until May 15th, the pay box and was also dismantled and no park host on duty yet.

About five other campers are here in the entire place. We initially took our Class A to the oversize parking space, it is on the left just past Loop A. We decided to just stay here as the two pull throughs, Loop A sites 1 and 6 are taken + offer little solar exposure and no water at the moment.

Cell signal is fantastic, the opposing hill side has the cell towers for Ely, NV.

ATT seems to be the best, 40 down/30 up, under 10ms latency. Verizon around 15 down, 5 up. All workable and limited lag for Zoom.

It may be chilly but it is a truly beautiful place with very recently upgrades to every bench and parking space. Road is very well maintained gravel.

Worked remotely from Castle Rocks State Park, had to use a high gain Yagi antenna setup to snag 2 bars from the tower across the valley. The park is clean, well maintained and very busy. It can get very cold up in Almo so plan for big temperature swings.

I absolutely in every way loved this place. I had no idea how lucky I was to get 2 nights, as it seems to be booked in perpetuity.

1. Incredibly private sites, both back in and pull through
2. Extremely modern, clean restrooms
3. Hot showers
4. Beautiful landscaping makes you feel like an RV Resort in the Keys
5. Amazing staff and the camp hosts helped us move spots during our stay by keeping us up to date on when we could transition

Very hard to imagine a park any nicer with this view, beach access or access to shopping/touristy stuff anywhere. We love our boondocking setup but this place is our top list to come back to.

You can use this lot to just park and check in if staying at the Casino Full Hookup Park across the street or stay here instead for an easy night between destinations. The Casino is smoke free and has some decent food options, I enjoyed our time here.
