I was sad we couldn’t stay longer! Sites were very well maintained but it did seem like most of the sites were designated for full time trailers. They had a game room and swimming pond. Only about 30 min away from the national park. Only complaint was that the site was a bit small.

Stayed here in January and will definitely be recommending this park to others traveling during the winter months. First off, you enter the park and pass the ruins of an old sugar mill and tons of old oaks dripping with Spanish moss. It’s was absolutely stunning and we saw a few groups who were there just for photos during our stay.

The sites are all blacktop and have water and electric hookups. There were two blathering near our site that were cleaned daily and had piping hot water in the showers. This park also has a beach on the lake abs multiple playgrounds for the kids. The only real downside for me was that it was a touch muddy but not bad. I could see how it would get very buggy here in winter months.

This park was about an hour from the French quarter, oak ally plantation, Biloxi, and the swamp tour in Jean Lafitte Parish. Perfect for the family that wants to see it all!

Absolutely beautiful campground. The sites are large and well thought out. The pad was not level but that wasn’t a big deal to us. Unfortunately many of the trails were very overgrown with the exception of Hilltop which was very steep but doable. Some of the shadier spots were more buggy. Tons of butterfly’s here. Overall great experience and I would totally camp here again.

We stayed here while my hubby was doing military training. The park has multiple playgrounds within walking distance of the campground and lots of smoother walking/bike paths. There are also lakes nearby for fishing. The bathrooms and showers were very clean. Electric hookup only. Gravel pads. The one big negative is that you can hear the highway in the distance but that wasn’t too much of a problem for us. Camp sites are not huge but big enough for kids to run around.
