We stayed here in January 2024 for a place that was close to Bisbee and Tombstone. It is a basic campground with full hookups (water/electric/sewer) and everything worked great. The location is about 15 mins from Bisbee but it is a nice quiet location out in the desert. There is a great nature trail that circles the 90 acre property which is a great place to walk your dog. There is a great large clubhouse which has washrooms, showers, tv with satellite hookup, dvds and books to borrow, and laundry facilities and pets are welcome here as well. We would stay here again.

Yes they allow free parking in between the hotel and the restaurant. Relatively quiet and secure location with regular security patrols. Quite a few other RVs here while we were. Tried out the Express BBQ takeout, it was expensive and not all that good but I still think people should support the business in exchange for a free stay. The Shell gas station prices were outrageously high so I recommend fueling up elsewhere.

Campground is ok, fairly quiet and sparsely populated when we were there in November. Prices are a bit high for what you get and they charge extra at check-in if you have a dog. Yes there is a dog park which is fine but charging extra feels like nickel and diming to me. Be aware that dogs are not welcome at the state park that is walking distance from the campground so if you want to walk your dog on the beach you have to drive to the next beach down the way. Sites are heavily treed so Starlink is not really an option and wifi also costs extra however I didn't try it so I can't report on the speed, AT&T service was spotty and slow. Site are grass, dirt and pine needles but our site was at least mostly level. The roads do turn into mud puddles when it rains but that didn't really bother us. The road access to this part of the coast is very narrow and windy so be aware of this if you're driving a larger rig. Google Maps may try to route you along MountainView Road but that is not recommended for trailer at all so you must access from the North or South only.

We stayed here on our way from Arizona to Texas as we prefer to travel away from the interstates and highway 9 is a great option to bypass the I10. The state park campground sites are great with lots of room between sites and a shelter and picnic table at most. Our site # 39 had water and 30 amp electric which both worked great however there was not a sewer hookup and the dump station facility was out of commission and has been for over a year, the ranger didn't know when it would be repaired. The campground washrooms/showers were also not working but they did have some porta-potties available for use. There was some traffic noise during the day as the campground is next to the highway leading to the Mexican border crossing but it was quiet at night. The location is so close to the border that you can see the border wall from the campsites. If the sewer issues were resolve I would give it five stars. We would stay here again.

If you are at all interested in the SpaceX program you need to stay here. The location is truly incredible, nestled on the banks of the Rio Grande River just a few miles from the rocket manufacturing, assembly, testing and launch facilities. Anthony is a great host and does everything he can to make sure you enjoy your stay, always willing to talk about space in great detail. The primitive campsites offer no services but lots of room for almost any size rig or you can rent one of the many trailers already on site, you can even rent a room in the main house. There are very clean restrooms and showers available for use. Even if you aren't interested in SpaceX this is a great location to stay, surrounded by wildlife preserve it is so peaceful and beautiful and just a short drive to the ocean beach. They also own another property just 3 miles from the launch pad where you can view the launches with an amazing perspective.

We stayed here for a couple nights after boondocking for a week at Kofa to recharge our batteries and dump our tanks. We had a great pull through site near the front of the park which had a nice hedge on both sides which made it fairly private. The clubhouse was right behind us which we visited to watch a couple of playoff football games and met some friendly longer term guests there as well. Laundry facilities were also close by and worked well. The park owners were very friendly and involved which makes this place warm and inviting. We would stay here again.

We stayed here in January 2024 and choose site 154 which is the no generator RV section, what a great site it was! Every site in the campground has very good separation between sites as they have done a great job in designing the campground and maintaining so much native vegetation, we had two large saguaro cactus within our site alone! Every site is a paved pull through so access is very easy, watch the recommendations on their site about maximum length as they are very accurate, our site stated 28' maximum length and our 27' TT with tow vehicle had about two feet to spare front to back. It is so peaceful here, sure you can here a bit of traffic from the highway to the border crossing during the day but at night there is almost no noise at all and no ambient lighting so the stars are very visible. The national monument park itself is stunningly beautiful with thousands and thousands of cacti and other native vegetation everywhere, some like the namesake organ pipe cactus is not seen anywhere else in the USA. There are many hiking trails surrounding the campground as well as elsewhere in the park however note that if you are travelling with dogs they are only permitted on the campground perimeter trail and the trail that leads to the visitor center from the campground. There is an amazing scenic drive called Ajo Mountain road which takes about two hours and it winds its way through the desert with many stops to take photos. There are clean restrooms and shower facilities available in the campground as well as fresh water spigots that you can fill containers from (connecting RV hoses to these is prohibited). There are also two dump stations at the south end of the campground as well as fresh water RV fill stations that you can use for free when camping. Trash receptacles are located throughout the campsite and dog waste stations are located in multiple locations on the perimeter trail. Highly recommend staying here!

The park appearance is decent but it seems like they aren't spending enough on upkeep and maintenance. It tends to be quite windy in this area on some days which is not too bad as they have a lot of trees on the perimeter that serve as a wind break however no one seems to clean up all the leaves from the trees that blow around the resort and there are large piles everywhere, we ended up buying our own rake to clean up our site. They come around daily to collect your trash from the curb however they take it to a large dumpster in the adjacent storage yard and there it sits in the sun which at times can be smelt from the resort and there are always a large number of flies around, perhaps from the garbage? I can't speak to the amenities such as the pools etc as we didn't use them. The dog park is quite small but there is a large empty lot right next door that I believe is owned by the resort so this was a great area to walk our dog. A couple of annoying policies they have: 1. If you want to wash your own RV or truck they charge $35 or $25 respectively so that you may have the pleasure of using their water, that seems outrageous to me. 2. There is a $10 charge for each guest that comes to visit regardless if they use the facilities or not, kinda steep if you just want to have family come for dinner. Overall it certainly is not horrible and their prices are reasonable for the Greater Palm Springs area I just think it could easily be much better with a bit of effort.

This KOA location has a very weird vibe to it and we were less than impressed. We booked a standard back in site and were given a site along the southern perimeter. First impressions were poor given the fact that we picked up enough garbage from our site to fill a small bag, they don't do any cleanup of the sites between guests which we observed during our stay. The park appears to have quite a few long term residents which is fine however many of these sites have possessions strewn everywhere and is quite an eyesore. One site we walked past had a dog tied by cable to an old tire and rim and this dog went crazy barking, snarling and lunging into the roadway at anyone walking past, this was noted everyday and all day, no idea where the owners were. The park management doesn't seem to do anything about enforcement of rules so these kinds of things just continue. Noise, if you like quiet this isn't your place, traffic noise, sirens, planes, helicopters, kids, dogs, you name it, very loud here. A note about the neighborhood, the resort is surrounded by a high wall and razor wire and I understand why, it's located in a very run down area. If you take a bike ride on the nearby Julian Wash Greenway you will see hundreds of homeless people living under every underpass, quite sad and disturbing really. We had to extend our stay by one night which we visited the front desk to do the last morning of our scheduled Stat, about 30 mins later I received a text message from the resort offering 25% off to extend our stay, this was not given to us when we had just extended nor would they refund the difference to us when we requested it, very poor customer service. The resort has a BBQ restaurant on site which was, of course, overpriced and the food was very bland. Overall I would recommend finding somewhere else to stay, we won't be back.

This is a great place to stay if you like peace and quiet. The access road into the camp area isn't great as there are large dips and ruts but we made it in with our 27' TT. There are many sites to choose from and the area is huge, the farther in you go, the better and quieter the sites get. Some are tight for bigger rigs but there really are spots for all sizes. We chose a site that was tucked right up against the hillside and amongst the creosote bushes, although not very level and tough to maneuvere into it was great. We stayed for five nights and only had other people close enough to see for a couple of them. The only issue we had were the bees, there were LOTS of them and if you left any attractants outside (even a dog's water dish) you would have a swarm of 50 or 60 of them. These are the rather aggressive breed of africanised bees so take caution and be aware if you are allergic. Overall I still highly recommend this area.
