E loop
Very scenic with the most shade of any loop in the park.
BUT, drive in is narrow and the pull through spots have a short and tight turn in the loop. We were 37ft 5th wheel and we spent 45 minutes trying to get in a good spot. We all love shade but the drive in as well as many of the sites have overhanging/encroaching trees that need trimmed. This issue makes a tight pull through even smaller. Lastly, be equipped and ready to test your leveling skills. Many sites are sloping left to right and or front to back. The picture is not my class c but a neighbor. I rest my case. Nice spots to kayak with great views. We would stay here again but I would try a different loop. Att and Verizon would make phone calls but data was intermittent. T mobile hotspot had no service.

All sites are nice but Site 118 is outstanding!!! Great staff and facilities. If you own an RV Strongly recommend the campground and school. I was only here for a week long class but learned a ton. I am a much better and safer RV traveler. Yep, the campground is great!!!

We spent 2 weeks here due to visiting friends in Normal IL. Clean and very well maintained campground. Yes the train comes by but infrequent. The highway never sleeps but is like many COE campgrounds with road or train noise. We would and will, stay here next time in Normal. We like supporting family campgrounds and this one top notch. Only Highway noise made it 4 stars. Didn’t use the WiFi because I never plan on using open CG WiFi. Phones and a T-Mobile hotspot worked fine. Can’t wait to come back

The location is great plus the option for the $10 RT shuttle to downtown was great and dependable. The KOA next door recently bought this campground. The pool looked nice. We went downtown instead of the pool.
The sites are tight. There appears to be a mix of travelers and long term renters. Which is ok but They allow people to park in front and behind their rigs. Due to others parking, to leave I needed to back out of a pull through spot (37ft 5th wheel and dually) into another row to get pulled out. There are plenty of ticks around so watch yourself and any 4 legged friends. Lastly, the bathrooms and shower need serious attention. Use at your own risk. You have been warned. The KOA next door and the Two Rivers campground will be our next choice.

Tons of potential but all lost on lack of management support or concern, they are just chasing the money. First site was quickly flooded by a broken water supply line. Had to move at dusk to another site. This site the concrete was 3+ inches off level. The water at the second site never flushed clear due to rust and mud. They had a serious water system issue. Plugged my filter in a week there. All “resort” features closed but still charging full price. Even the casino was closed up except for gaming and a terrible snack bar. Lastly, ups and fedex will ship here without issue. USPS not the case. USPS will not deliver here. USPS drops all packages at a different campground miles away. This campground tries to sort them but all my Amazon/usps delivered were lost/stolen and Amazon had to replace all. The grounds are covered with thorny stickers, easily found in dog paws and bike tires. This place should be avoided.

Nothing special and a little hard to find but for one night with full hookup and 50a it was perfect.

Sites are close together but functional. Easy drive off the highway and Nice staff. GREAT and clean dog park. Great OTA tv and rocking internet. Two large towers across the street. Nothing close around so come in stocked up. Would stay here again for sure.

Nice local run campground. Bathrooms were clean and the place was very welcoming. The owners are out walking the grounds keeping it in great shape. Our dog would like to recommend the very nice mowed dog walk around the perimeter. Jamestown is close with anything you might need. We caught the downtown Thursday eve concert and had a great time. Walmart, fuel, all the needs are near by. Yes, near the highway but we had no issues sleeping with the windows open. The mile of gravel road is a little bumpy (even with the CG owner dragging it to make it better) but the nice campground and community is worth the bumps. We would stop here again, no questions.

The new owners have done a great job with the campground. Plus the staff were outstanding. We had a dog food shipment delivered without issue. Site 8 was a lovey pad and picnic table with a nice westerly sunset views. Some of the less money site were close together. Verizon and att cell phones were marginal for phone calls and less helpful with FaceTime. Our t-mobile hotspot was “roaming” and useless. Canon City is a short drive with great food and all the necessary supplies. Next time through we would stay for sure.
