We were looking for a place to stay while visiting Del Norte and Jeb Smith Redwood parks and found this park to fit the bill. Only about a dozen or so other campers but even if more full the sites are 30 feet apart. Our space was very near the beach and so we had nice views of the harbor. Soothing sounds of the foghorn and barking of harbor seals. Crescent City doesn't have much to offer but it is nice location to stay while visiting the redwood parks. Host was very friendly. Sites are level and have concrete patios. Wifi very strong.

This county run park is far enough off Hwy 12 to avoid any noise. Sites are generously spaced and afford a lot of privacy. Water and electric in three of the loops and an on-site dump station. Loop A is much more open and has playground equipment. Back in sites allow much more room than the pull-throughs. Some of the PTs were pretty tight radius and we moved to a back-in when we found it open for the weekend. Noticed no bugs the weekend we were there, early August. Several sites went vacant for the weekend. CG is close enough to St. Helens to allow day trips to the area.

Stayed two nights in mid October as a base camp for exploring North Cascades NP as the NP campgrounds were closed for the season. Nice level gravel sites with water and electric. Dump station available. Park is beautifully maintained. Decent privacy. Very quiet.

Arrived early afternoon on a Friday, only a handful of sites still available. Within 30 minutes the CG hosts notified the ranger the CG was full. Surprisingly, there were some sites open on Saturday night. Many pull-through sites, loops E and D had the largest but C loop sites were the most private. Very quiet campground. Most sites are pretty level. CG is in a forest of large Sitka spruce and Hemlock. Well maintained. Town of Forks is less than 30 minutes away. Rialto beach is a 1.5 mile drive; walking there not recommended as there is no trail and the road is narrow. Also access to the trails leading to Second and Third Beach is 15 minutes away as well as LaPush.

Our primary stop for the night being full, BLM site in Orofino, we kept going up US-12. This FS campground was nice dry camping near the river. Few campers except for the rafter and kayakers. Sites are paved and level. Water spigots had signs that water had not been tested and should be boiled. Being spring, no bugs yet. Good privacy in most of the sites.

Three Frogs sits above Lake Como a short drive up a dirt road from the day use area. Several sites have partial views of the lake. Good spacing between most of the sites. Gravel drives, lots of good places for tents. Dry camping, pit toilets. A really nice trail that encircles the lake is easy, mostly flat, about miles plus around. Driveway is a little tight in some areas, not recommended for large trailers, Class A's or 5th wheels. Walkup sites only. Access from the highway is easy, 5 miles of paved road. Darby and Hamilton close by. No cell service.

The quieter of the two State Parks near Port Townsend. Lower beach area is open year around with sewer and electric. Water is off at the sites from November to April but is available at one site. Lots of trails to walk, nice beach access. Spectacular views of Mt. Baker and the north Cascades, Olympics and water. Beach sites can accomodate large rigs. Short drive to Port Townsend. Lots of history at the old gun batteries.

This was our second time staying here and is one of our favorite OR State parks. Typically well maintained park by OR State. Almost all sites are in excess of 30 feet long and are well spaced apart. With this spacing and the foliage between sites the privacy is outstanding. The trail leading to the lighthouse is amazingly beautiful and there are miles of beach to explore. The ONLY downside is the permanent closure of the RV dump site; just be sure to empty out before you arrive. When we stayed at the end of March we had not reserved a site but plenty were available. We love the quiet here and the forested setting of the campground. The trees provide a nice break for the frequent windy conditions.

Site #62 only one in south loop we could fit into with our 24 foot trailer. Fortunately, we were the only ones in the loop. Driveway is very narrow. $35 for dry camping is very high. Unfortunately, weather closed the Drury Pkwy and we couldn't explore much of the park. When CA state parks says 24 foot limit on trailers you better believe it. Doubt many over 18 could fit here.

Stopped for a night on a long trip. Surprisingly quiet. We had thought that noise from I-90 would be a an issue but we didn't hear a thing. It is over 2 miles south from the Interstate which adds to the quiet. Two loops, one nearer the river (lake?) the other, upper, farther back. Upper loop is all pull through sites with water and power. Most of them have nice views of the water. Upper loop is more deserty. Lower loop is much more treed, grassy and nearer the water. Nicely maintained CG. If you arrive without a reservation be sure to check the payment board for available sites before setting up, the sites are not marked in any way to inform you of their status for the night.
