We planned on spending our 1st nights in our new 20' trailer at the lower campground, which has hookups. That campground was full on a Tuesday morning, with only 2 sites planning to vacate that day, and several RV's poised for those spots. We came here instead, not sure if sites would be available or big enough for our rig. No problem. I wouldn't take anything larger than 22' in here, but were are several sites big enough for us. On a Tuesday and Wednesday in June, it never filled more than 50%. This camp has pit toilets and several water spigots. The camp hosts were friendly, and the winding one-way access limited unnecessary traffic. There was some boat noise, but nothing like on a weekend.
We stayed in site #3, with a view of the lake. The upper sites are more private, but further from the lake and after spring rains there was some standing water.
We live nearby, and I've been going to Lake Como for 60+ years. What was once a quiet local getaway has been developed by the USFS and by its own popularity, to the point that I NEVER go there on a summer weekend. That being said, there is still a great trail to the head of the lake, about 2 1/2 miles, where a waterfall plunges under a footbridge into the lake. About 1/4 mile up the canyon above the lake is another falls that splits into 3 during spring runoff. Halfway between the campground and the head of the lake is a view across the lake to Little Rock Creek Falls. In spite of its popularity, Como is worth a visit, if you can do it on a weekday.

Stayed for 3 nights with our 17ft bumper pull. Dry camping, but nice level sites for smaller rigs and tents. You could probably get a small 5er in there as well. No hookups or any water.
The amazing Lake Como is right there and you could easily spend 3 days or more playing in and around the lake.

Three Frogs sits above Lake Como a short drive up a dirt road from the day use area. Several sites have partial views of the lake. Good spacing between most of the sites. Gravel drives, lots of good places for tents. Dry camping, pit toilets. A really nice trail that encircles the lake is easy, mostly flat, about miles plus around. Driveway is a little tight in some areas, not recommended for large trailers, Class A's or 5th wheels. Walkup sites only. Access from the highway is easy, 5 miles of paved road. Darby and Hamilton close by. No cell service.

We came for three nights; stayed for six. We were surprised that even in mid-August, it didn’t fill up except on Friday night. Minimal traffic through the campground. $15/ night or $7.50 with the old geezer pass.
Friendly hosts (Bill & Betty). Pit toilets were remarkably clean. Water is only available at two faucets in the trailhead parking lots. Nearest dump is in Hamilton. Had to drive out to highway for cell service (AT&T)
21(?) sites, 4 of which are walk-in tent sites Most sites were filled by small rigs and tents. Anything over 20-22 ft would be tight. Didn’t hear one generator in six days (yeah!!). Did the lack of big rigs contribute to the lack of generators?
Easy access to Darby and Hamilton. Trail to the falls at the end the lake made a nice afternoon. The water was quite low in the reservoir, which perhaps contributed the the lack of crowds.

We were traveling down the 93 looking for a nice place to stay, thanks to this app we found this wonderful campground up in the mountains overlooking the lake! It was beautiful, quiet except for the squirrel trying to throw pinecones on us lol. Will be back.
