Near beach, however rv's over 32 ft have a hard time getting around the trees tight turns.

This is a beautiful campground. Spacious sites, gorgeous trees, nearby Rialto Beach, an hours drive from the Hoh Rainforest and other spots, and 4 bars LTE. This is our favorite spot to set up base in the Olympic National Park. Forks is nearby for supplies, and there’s a restaurant in La Push with fresh caught salmon and local spirits. First come first serve sites, but most people don’t seem to know about this gem.

Thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing stay here. In a forest of tall pines, most sites have a nice degree of privacy. They all have fire rings and picnic tables. Wood on the road into the campground is only 3-4 dollars, so splurge and keep the fire going. Restrooms and fresh water are the only services. The campground is about 1 1/2 miles from Rialto Beach. Beware of the “path to the beach” on the park map. It is a path to the road and another 1 1/4 on the road itself. The Rialto Beach walk, also known as the Hole in the Wall Trail is about 1 1/2 mike from the parking lot to the headland. There is a path over the headland, or if you are there close enough to low tide, you can go through the archway.

Not much to do in Forks. There is a good Thriftway grocery store/sporting goods/hardware. Laundromat is very expensive but clean and fast.

Suggest a day trip around the northwest corner to Neah Bay. Wonderful Makah Tribal museum, Also you can buy a fresh salmon right off the boats from a house at Clallam Bay.

Spent a quiet rainy night here in May of 2019. Well kept grounds and restrooms. Sites have table/bench and fire rings. There is even a small amphitheater in the camp ground with a small stage and benches! Must be something they use in the summer. Loved the location, close to Forks and the great-have-everything-you-need Thriftway store, Rialto Beach and La Push.

Do make time to drive to Neah Bay and visit the Makah Museum. Very informative and well laid out museum. Continue on to Cape Flattery and hike the trail out to the overlook. Spectacular views will be your reward!

The campground is quiet and very peaceful. The lush forest provides plenty of cover over tents and privacy from other campers. It is beautiful with only the sounds of bird song. The bathrooms are clean with plenty of stalls, and it has close access to Rialto beach. Would stay many more times.

We loved this campground! Our site allowed us to pull through. It’s a level site close to the bathrooms. The bathrooms were really nice & appeared to be newly renovated. We arrived on a Tuesday afternoon and the campground filled up rather quickly. There were still a few sites available each day though. We bought firewood on the way in. Rialto beach is close by and we took our dog (on leash) to the beach.

Arrived early afternoon on a Friday, only a handful of sites still available. Within 30 minutes the CG hosts notified the ranger the CG was full. Surprisingly, there were some sites open on Saturday night. Many pull-through sites, loops E and D had the largest but C loop sites were the most private. Very quiet campground. Most sites are pretty level. CG is in a forest of large Sitka spruce and Hemlock. Well maintained. Town of Forks is less than 30 minutes away. Rialto beach is a 1.5 mile drive; walking there not recommended as there is no trail and the road is narrow. Also access to the trails leading to Second and Third Beach is 15 minutes away as well as LaPush.

Stayed Aug 1-4 over a weekend. During my time there the camp was not “quiet”as other reviewers have noted, but it was...uh, festive, and it did quiet right down at night- which is what counts. And there was a little road noise as well. My site was lovely, in the D section, and the site was very clean, too. the flush bathrooms in the D section were clean inside but not new by any stretch of the imagination. It was the height of summer so there were people all around, which is to be expected. Rialto beach is fantastic, glad I went! One note, the chipmunks and birds are relentless about wanting your food, so heed the camp rules about keeping food in an enclosed vehicle😎

Cell phone radiation and sunbeams compete for the most abundant particles to fill the mossy gaps between some pretty substantial Sitka spruce. Rare creatures like bathroom faucets that don’t automatically shut off and firewood bundles for sale out of nearly every private residence just outside the park make their first appearance here, finally, after the long migration through more remote parts of the Olympics further east. Driftwood thick as an elephant and stretching for literal miles, some logs 100’ long on their very own, give the nearby beach the distinguished look of a wise old gentleman while sea stacks behind the waves play a tune reminiscent of Peter and his Lost Boys. By early Autumn the campground is empty well into the evening, never quite filling up unless you’re referring to the abundance of vine and big leaf maples glowing bright red or dull yellow. Five flat loops make for excellent campground bike rides. Back in Forks, the Pizza place next to the Thriftway was the best I’d ever had, a significantly amazing pie which has somehow managed to stay off of the Triple D circuit, a bonus in my book. 9 out of 10 tragedies in this world were caused by Guy Fierri, his hamburger joint in the Cancun airport responsible for more bankruptcies per day than the Great Depression and Mercedes Sprinter payments combined. But, I digress. Just watch out for vampires and know that Sasquatch lives and you should be fine.

Our site was surrounded by nature with little sight of our neighbor off to the right. There was street noise during the day but it wasn’t bad. The mosquitoes were bad at sunset but disappeared after the sun set. We loved this campground after staying at Sol Duc for a couple of days this campground was great. At 9 pm every night it became totally quiet. If you are a nature lover and love to tent camp or dry camp I would highly recommend this campground.
