The wife and I stayed here for the shakedown cruise in our new motorhome. For our first night, we chose one of the premium sites, which include a fire ring, swing, two chairs, and a couple of benches, most of which are on the concrete patio next to the gravel parking space.

There are plenty of amenities, but some were closed due to COVID-19. WiFi reception is strong, with the wife and I both using it for casual browsing as well as YouTube streaming.

TV reception is a lacking, as you are pretty far from Seattle to pick up stations, but the park does provide cable TV in the premium sites. We didn't try out the cable, though. Next time.

Cell reception on Verizon is four bars.

The only downer, and it's not really a downer really, is the tiny little bridge you have to go across to access the bigger sites in the back of the property. It's a little tight, especially if you're driving a 40 foot diesel pusher. Other than that, the park is peaceful, and there is plenty of decent birdwatching. There is a slight hum from I-5 when you are outside, but inside the coach, there is no noise at all.

My wife and I took the Grizz up to Leavenworth for a couple days, to enjoy some great early spring weather. Coming over Steven Pass, there were piles of snow six feet high along highway 2, but we enjoyed 80 degree weather for the weekend.

After driving through Leavenworth, you'll cross the Wenatchee river, and take a left by the Safeway. At this point disregard your GPS' insistence to turn left again. Instead, bear to the right, following the signs pointing to the campground. Trust me, I missed the sign the first time, and got the pleasure of turning around a 40 foot beast in a residential neighborhood.

We eventually arrived, and proceeded through the campground from the front entrance, moving slowly through the park to the main office, which also contains a gift store, some beverages, and some RV'ing essentials. Staging lanes for parking of around eight rigs are in front of the store, and are easily accessible. The staff inside are pleasant, friendly, and very helpful. When we arrived, we inquired about purchasing three bundles of wood for the fire ring, and it was no problem. We were given the option of paying directly, or simply billing it to our site. I started to grab the wood, and the nice lady said, "No sir, we'll deliver it to your site." Wow!

We were guided to our site by a nice gentleman in a gator (side-by-side), who also brought along the firewood. After meandering back toward the front of the park, we were guided in to our pull-through deluxe patio site, which included a concrete patio, fire ring, a nice table and chair set, a glider seat for two, and a Weber gas grill. The site was level, with no drainage problems, with the RV parking area being gravel, with grass on both sides. The grill was freshly cleaned, and ready for action. We used it for cooking dinner one night, and had no problems.

The big-rig pull through sites are nicely spaced, with lots of room between neighbors. Trash disposal is not a problem, as there are receptacles throughout the park, which are cleaned regularly. The only time you might run in to a full can is right around daily check-out time (11:00am).

There are a number of comfort stations around the park, and we used #2, located in the middle of the park. This looked to be one of their newer buildings, and was very nice. Modern locks on the doors, nice flooring, and alpine/woodsy decor. Inside the comfort station is the laundry, mens and womens restrooms, and shower cubicles. The cubicles are a bit tight, and the water pressure is a little low, but they are free for guests, and the hot water didn't run out. Also, they are cleaned regularly, which was evident.

Wifi at the park is provided free for guests. It is an open network, and a bit on the slow side. Cable TV is included (at least for our site), and worked acceptably for us.

There are one- and two-room cabins on site as well. We will most likely be returning at some point, bringing our adult children along to stay there, while stay in our motorhome.

Great place, close to town. Would stay again.

Just south of the Canadian border, this park makes for a convenient spot to rest up before continuing your journey. There are a few activities nearby, such as golfing, shopping, a myriad of hiking trails, and even a tribal casino.

The park itself presents a clean, natural image, with a medium sized pond sprawled across the campground. There are a lot of ducks and other wildlife that you can watch for hours. We even saw a pair of black squirrels, which we had never seen before.

Arriving at the check-in point is painless, but navigating the park is pretty tight if you have a longer rig. Our 40 foot motorhome had a bit of trouble getting around some of the corners, and had to curb hop once in order to make a turn.

We reserved a 50 amp full hookup site, with patio and picnic table, and were assigned site #13, one of the few 50 amp sites. Unfortunately, the site was already occupied. When we called the front desk, they told us to just pick a site. Also unfortunately, there were no more 50 amp sites. The majority of the sites in the campground are 30 amp, so we had to watch our power usage a bit.

The sites themselves are a bit cramped, as this appears to be an older campground, not built for larger rigs. No fire rings are available at the full hookup sites, either.

There are lots of amenities, including a pool that was open despite this being the time of COVID. There were a few kids in this kid and pet friendly campground, but everyone was well behaved.

It's not a bad campground, but I would caution anyone with a larger rig to select another campground.
