Arrived Thursday 7/8. Free. Great spot to spend the night. Only one other camper at the reservoir. Clean pit bathrooms. Windy night so I didn't experience the mosquitos others reported.

Came here after abandoning Twin Buttes Reservoir due to heavy mosquitoes there. Clean area with a few overnight semis and RVs. Loud cars and trucks racing around until about 11:00 p.m. when everything got quiet. Felt like a safe place. Walmart provided free WiFi.

Arrived Friday 7/9. Great escape from the heat! Cool temperature due to high elevation (13% grade was slow going with RV in tow), lots of open spaces for camping, and heavy mosquitoes. Beautiful sunrise. We will definitely return in the future.

Beautiful park next to the National Forest.The owners take great care of the property, are very friendly, and live on site. Clean bathrooms and showers. High speed WiFi. Level sites. I looked at the state park campground nearby first and chose Scheffel’s instead.

Arrived Monday 6/28. The view is spectacular. Also stayed here 4 years ago and will return again. Lots of empty campsites. Showers, pool, store, breakfast, and laundry available.

Pulled in on a Sunday night. Two semis and 5 RVs with space for more. Casino had slots, bathrooms, and a Denny's. Quiet town. Felt safe for the night.

Came here because the National Forest campgrounds were all full. Enjoyed camping here and won't even check the other campgrounds next time. Easy drive if you have AWD/4WD. A little under 8,000 ft in elevations, so it's very comfortable in July. Plenty of dispersed camping sites along forest road 203.

Pulled in on the 3rd of July without a reservation and there were several sites available. No check in after 6:00 p.m. Flush toilets, large hot showers, laundry, and full hookups. Close to dining, grocery, and Ace hardware.

Arrived Friday, 6/25. Only about three open sites when we pulled in early evening. Right on the river. Would stay there again.

Mother Neff is a beautiful place to stay. Campsites are clean, spacious, well maintained. Newer bathrooms with hot showers. Liked the site so much that we booked a second night. Hosts do an excellent job maintaining the campground. Nice walking trails, too. Heard occasional highway noise but didn't detract from the experience. Will definitely visit again if in the area.
