We were able to get a reservation on a holiday weekend on our trip south. We had a pull-thru full h/u site, which was reasonable with out KOA discount card. Check in was simple and the young lady very helpful and friendly. The internet worked, as did everything else, and there was a fenced dog park where I could throw the ball for my dog. It is just off hwy 34 so there is road noise during the day. The sites were packed mud with some gravel thrown in on the parking area; no cement patio, so the shoes got muddy getting in and out of the trailer. There were a number of long term campers there and it wasn’t very scenic, but if you just need an overnight while traveling it’s fine (but not in winter or early spring).

We stayed here in a 26’ motorhome while traveling the I-40. We asked for a site in the upper section thinking it would have less highway noise, but it had no shade and it was a hot day (84• in November!) so we went back to the office and asked to be moved to the lower area. The staff had no problem with that and moved us to 51, a 30 amp full h/u pull through in the treed area! Our site was fairly level, some were not. They have 2 dog parks and the larger was great for some ball time. They have 2 laundry rooms with 2 washers/dryers each; $2/wash $2/1hr dry. Back laundry room needed a new floor and didn’t smell good but machines worked fine. We went to the bar and had a couple of beers, chatted with Robin, she made us a frozen pizza and we had a great time. She was the front desk/bartender/waitress/chef and helper to travelers needing to strap down their load. Amazing hospitality and made our stay at this older, roadside park a good one.

Making a phone reservation was challenging as every piece of information had to be repeated 2-3 times. We finally finished making a reservation but were told they were emailing another registration form that needed to be filled out and signed. We arrived after the office closed and picked up our packet on the after hours board as promised. Although the resort was less than 25% full, they gave us site #1 that backed up to the road and was at the entrance. It sloped toward the back and one side which is the opposite of preferred for our levelors. We got it leveled, so next we needed to get our dogs some exercise. Not seeing a dog park we went into the fenced and completely empty playground area next to our site. After 2 throws of the ball we were kicked out by a grumpy manager or resident acting like he’s a manager. I asked where then was the dog park and he gave a curt “we don’t have one”. If your dog likes to chase the ball or run off-leash this is not the place!

We stayed one night at The Waterfront on our way north. It is a small park with 16 RV sites on the Hood Canal. We were in site 13, which seems like the nicest one. It had a large grassy area on one side with a picnic table and full hook-ups. We watched a truck with about a 24’ trailer trying to back into 14 and had quite a struggle between the curve in the road, and the road being narrow. It would be easier for a motorhome or small camper or trailer. We had a full view of the canal and it was serene and beautiful. There were fire rings and benches overlooking the canal. The laundry room was clean and in working order. The manager was friendly and helpful. I didn’t use any other facilities so can’t comment on them. Unfortunately you do hear highway noise as it is right on the highway; but it quiets down at night. We would stay again.

This is a very nice little RV park right at the beach. The bathrooms appear to be newly remodeled with gorgeous tile work in the showers, in the stalls and by the sinks. Stunning, and very clean! There are beautiful Monterey Pines throughout the park. There is a convenience store, volleyball net, play structure and activity room. The location is a short walk to Marina Dunes beach; and if you go right at the beach (not left) it is dog friendly. To the left is the state beach. It is a short drive into Monterey. The only negative is you do hear the highway during the day.

We stayed here in June 2022 while traveling west on I-80. It is in a small industrial town nestled between the highway and the railroad tracks, and is mostly gravel with few trees. On the plus side, it wasn’t expensive, staff and neighbors were friendly, pull through site was large, and hookups worked. It also is next door to a 30’ Virgin Mary statue; the largest BVM in the US, if you like these oddities!

After a full day of August driving from California this was a welcome respite! The staff were helpful and friendly, even advising us if we got a players club card we could save a few $. The resort is absolutely beautiful with green grass in between sites, trees and rhododendrons everywhere. They have a nice dog park with bags and a bucket, which was appreciated. We were warned the wifi wouldn’t reach our site very well so we didn’t bother; but our Verizon signals were good. It was very quiet there, no road noise, and it is immaculate! We will be back!

We enjoyed our stay at Screamin' Eagle. We were in site 6, one of 13 RV sites with partial hookups. We had 30 amp and water. There were trees and plants on the east end of our site, and we had a "back yard"; an area in the trees behind us with another picnic table and fire ring. The beach is a short walk down the road. It is a wide beach that you can drive on to the left; or if you are on foot, you can go to the right where cars are not allowed. We had 1 bar on T-Mobile, sometimes 2; but it wasn't usable for calls. They do have internet, which was spotty at best, and not fast enough for internet calling. Other than being incommunicado, the only bummer was the dump station was out of service, so we had to go to a rest stop on the way home.

We stayed 1 night while traveling north on I-5. We reserved a pull-through site with water, electric and cable t.v. Everything worked fine but our site had no trees; just some scrub junipers and bushes at the front half of the site. We could hear highway noise but it was quiet at night. A walk around the park revealed several full time residents living in old trailers on the south side of the office. If I had to stay again, the back-in sites 44-49 were more scenic with many trees. Didn't use their bathrooms so can't comment.

We stayed here on our way from Washington to Southern California. Sacramento didn’t seem to have many decent options but glad we chose this! It was a little hard to find but we kept following the signs around the perimeter of the fairgrounds. We drove through and checked it out first; seemed safe so we stayed! The office staff were friendly and helpful. They put us in 407 which is a back in on concrete with full h/u and very level. If you have a motorhome up to 35’ and can back in, try for 402-414 as this is a quiet area off by itself with trees in front and behind you. We were there in off season, no events happening so they were leaving space between sites. This might feel a little tight if they were all booked! The rest of the 400s and 500s are on gravel, mostly pull through. 100-300s are pavement, pull thrus and back ins, not that level. They have a good sized off leash dog park which was appreciated! It is a no frills place without much scenery but they have the basics and it felt safe. Will definitely stay again while traveling through!
