After deciding that Crane Falls wasn’t going to be easy access with our 32’ class c we came to Jack’s Creek. Most sites are on the water and level. The first site you come to is the smallest. Keep going if you want a larger spot. All sites a spaced out nicely so you have room. There are several vault toilets and a boat ramp. It is all dry camping.

Great stop. The road is packed with gravel for 99% of the trip here. Turning through the first gate/cattle crossing off of the highway is a little tight, and there’s a few washout dips. The trees provide some shelter from any wind. You can see I84 off in the distance but you certainly can’t hear here. Solid Verizon service.

You have to get the key from the cashier. They ask that you at least buy some gas. Otherwise it’s free to dump and they have potable water.

The last review was from 2019 so I thought I’d update it. There are a few turn offs for boondocking. We have a 31’ class c and went past “the sign” previously mentioned. It wasn’t but .5-.7 miles further for an incredible pull through spot.

The surrounding national forest was hit pretty hard with forest fires last year. In fact when we drove down the road to find the camping spots there were still several smoldering trees. The road is hard packed gravel and there's only 3 camping pull outs. 14 day stay limit, no services other than a vault toilet. There is a NF campground next door but it was closed, I'm not sure if that's just a seasonal thing (since we're here before Memorial Day) or if that has to do with the recent fires. We drove down to the "beach" where the lake normally is to find that it's incredibly low so we camped along what was the shoreline. We're the only ones out here. Our Class came really close to bottoming out, otherwise if you have a trailer with decent ground clearance you should be fine.

We had very few neighbors within eye sight. Zero highway noise, strong cell service, and beautiful skies. There's lot of spots around here accessible to cars, Class A's, and just about everything in between.

We went further down the road, along the highway, until the dirt road turned up towards the mountain. Cell service was great. Highway noise was minimal, and we were the only ones down there. Closer to 38.03797461769084, -117.22969279413202. Also check out Tonopah Brewing Company in town. Some good beers and great BBQ!

Amazing spot! Perfect for a stop over or a few days. FCFS, bring your own water, no hookups, pack it in/pack it out. The views! We stopped over and it was chilly on a late June evening (thanks to the elevation). We will definitely be back!
