LOTS of open space to spread out. The closer you try and get to the water the more you're going to need high clearance and 4x4. Unfortunately for our time here it was very windy, over 30 mph for every day we stayed. Cell service depends on where you decide to setup camp. Some spots, absolutely nothing, other spots great service.

We had very few neighbors within eye sight. Zero highway noise, strong cell service, and beautiful skies. There's lot of spots around here accessible to cars, Class A's, and just about everything in between.

There seem to be some folks snowbirding here while others use it as a stop over for the night. It's right next to Poverty Flats/Snowbird Mesa but this area seems to have less folks....I'm guessing because it's not as flat here and there some hills to drive over. Many of the sites are along a canyon wash that is absolutely beautiful. Cell service is great here. Depending on how far away from the road you are determines how much road noise you here. However, there's not much, if any, traffic at night so take that with a grain of salt.

Let me start off by saying I DID NOT STAY HERE! However, I did pull in on a Sunday, after 5pm, needing propane, water, and a dump. They stay open until 6p, even on a Sunday. Quick, courteous, and reasonably priced! Thank you!

The full hookup side was completely full so we stayed on the dry camping side. It's grass parking that includes a bench and fire pit. Half of the dry camping sites are right along the water. It's far enough away that you don't hear any traffic on 101 but the Fire Dept has a station nearby so you will hear them if they leave for a call. It's a super popular spot for crabbing and they even rent boats/pots for you to go crab in. They have a camp store, flush toilets, coin operated showers, and a coin operated laundry facility. The camp hosts were very nice and kept the bathrooms clean all day long. They also sell propane and ice on site. If you're dry camping and need to dump/refill water it's $5 and any of the available pull through sites. There are a few long term residents here but I can't blame them, the weather was fantastic.

I probably wouldn't stay here a way, but it's an excellent stop over. Clean, with trash cans, and a vault toilet. Most folks stay a night and leave the next day. There are a few sites that can, and do, accept big rigs (i.e. diesel pushers with a toad). Everything is fairly well graded and packed with gravel. Cell service isn't great and there's not much in the way of hiking. However, if you want quiet, this is it!

Pro's:
- nice spacious spots
- easy access to the Weiser River Trail (80+ miles of a former rail line that is open to hikers, bikers, and horseback only)
- the cleanest vault toilets I've ever seen/smelled

Con's:
- Next to the highway that lots of 18 wheelers use. So get used to hear compression brakes if they're going downhill, or high rev's if they're going up hill
- No cellular service. I have a roof mounted high gain cellular antenna and I couldn't pick up anything on AT&T or Verzon

Facts (not pro's or con's):
- No hookups of any kind. There is a manual well pump for fresh water near the top of the campground. So show up prepared with your own fresh water.
- Spot 1 & 2 are first come/first serve spots. The rest are reservable. Spot 1 is the shadiest in the entire park. Great for keeping cool, not so great if you have solar.
- This CG is perfect for a night stop over on your way to somewhere else. If it weren't for the road noise it would have been perfect.

It's dry camping but there are flush toilets, a trash dumpster, and 3 potable water spigots. Most of the folks here are here with their OHV's and hitting the dunes so it gets pretty noisy during the day. On the flip side, it's a short walk over the dunes to actually have your feet in the sand. For the price (and the Interagency pass discounts available) it's hard to beat, even if it is just a parking lot.

Verizon has a strong signal but I'm guessing with everyone else here trying to use it I had better luck with the weaker AT&T signal.

Parking spots are deep and wide as many folks are in here with Class A's towing trailers. Definitely big rig friendly.

I have seen Sherriff, US Dept of Ag, and Oregon Dept of Ag patrol through on a fairly frequent basis.

It's a beautiful area. We came in from the north on a 12-13 mile gravel road. There is some washboarding. We have a 31' class C and our level jacks did scrape in a couple of spots getting to the camp ground. I wouldn't bring in an RV any larger without some good ground clearance. We chose to camp in a pull off area about 1 mile north of the actual campground just to have more space and seclusion. There is absolutely ZERO cell service here, even with MiMo antennas we couldn't pick up Verizon or AT&T. It can get busy on the weekends as it is a popular spot for people to bring out ATV's and side by sides. The traffic can really stir up the dust on the road going into/coming out of the area. The creek and views are very beautiful! It is 100% dry camping so come in prepared. There is ONE vault toilet for everyone in the area to use. Most of the tent campers were close to that.

Butch Cassidy and the Wild Bunch used to store their loot in nearby caves, hence the name is called the Outlaw Campground. It is on BLM, north of Casper, WY. There are about 8 miles of graded gravel road, the last 2 are a bit white knuckle. You WILL need ground clearance. Our lifted Class C made it just fine….slow and easy. I don’t think I would take anything bigger out here due to the last 2 miles of road. Google Maps will have you trying to turn early onto someone’s private property. Keep going. If you do come out you will be rewarded with amazing views. 1-2 bars of AT&T, 1 bar of Verizon, Starlink rocks out here.
