Garey Lake Campground and Garey Lake Trail Camp are next to each other on the road- Now we stayed at the (Horse) Trail Camp but... Garey Lake Campground was very nice, maintained well- Not crowded at all. We stayed at the Trail camp down the road because there was NOONE there. 200 sites capacities and not a soul- (SEE review ) Garey Lake Campground had lake access and more shade trees- compared Garey Trail Camp and to the PACKED stateparks… no contest - Its worth it if you are boondocking- $15 plus - permit (car fee $9 ) cash/ check only selfserve so $25 bucks - vault toilets and pump water. Med to small rigs to tents.

Very friendly staff, pleasant stay, quiet. Clean laundry room, very close to everything but doesn't feel like your in town. Unless kids had bikes to ride or like to fish kids will be bored here. No bell and whistles, just a nice camp after a day of tourist adventure. There are Canadian geese so goose poop was abundant. There are trout in the stream if your wondering. They have multiply trash CANS that are empty daily and get full quick if busy. Many pull through and some for the very Large class A with trailers to match.
They have WiFi, but it's not reliable if you need to work online, our Verizon was decent.

This was a small campground that was very pretty. Set near the dam with nook th the mountain ( aka holler). Very clean. Camper are side by side close but each lot seemed more private then they actually were. Everyone had a little yard along bank of the river. Water was clear and swift. Yes there was trout to be caught. There zero cell for Verizon and to deep in the holler for starlink but worth every penny of $33 buck!

Great place to park your large RVs. Clean bathrooms, lots nice, pet area, pic-nic table etc.. This is the place if you plan on being busy in the area doing "stuff" from visiting the Park to finding souvenirs t shirts. Everything is within walking distant from this place from entertainment, restaurants, gift shops to the front gate of Yellowstone Wyoming. Pretty quiet for being in town.

On good camping days its full with local campers- it is pretty, a good fishing spot, on stream/small lake, great leisure kayak spot. Quite a bit of ground trash. Trash disposal is available. Area prone to flooding, closes when this happens. Noise level depends on who is camping. Tent- small campers. spots fairly private

This Trail Camp is down the road from Garey Lake Campground ( Also a nice place to camp). This, assume was an old orchard converted to a horse camp. Many unnumbered sites and not a soul was here. A couple bucks cheaper then Garey Lake Campground - No horses- your still welcome to camp- a pair of Vault toilet- very clean - didnt see pump water- It was super quiet and private. Again not a soul, just us. we picked a spot in the back where there were tall pines and someone built a fire ring. a big plus was our dog was free to run till his hearts content that night. More open, some shade- Will fit large rigs but road in is gravel/dirt. Check out Garey Lake Campground AND the TRAIL camp and see what best fits you. Compared to side by side camping to some of the near by state parks... we would take this place any day if you know how to boondock. (No body was here- but I would assume maybe horse clubs use/rent this place? So I can't predict who will be camping here in the future as far as usage)

Last open spot for the time slot we needed- its the back lot C - not as green, no trees in the lot, but very quiet. The public park attached to this campground is very nice and super clean. My husband did have to to work online. Had a good connection for this. This is an older campground not fancy. Bathhouses are older but clean. Not for the spoiled princess types.
This is our second time here when visiting family. We like it.

Grand Tetons Park RV "RESORT??"- AKA Fireside Buffalo Valley- Was not impressed by this place at all for $70 - Grocery/gas attached to the camp was overpriced and so was the out dated camp complete with mosquitoes galore (end of August). Showers where "clean", laundry mat was effective--- This end my review of Campground- Side note when we left and traveled through tourist town -Jackson Hole traveling south we discovered we spent to much time North of Jackson- if you fly fish, travel south!! Access is way better with more options. Jackson hole is really nice high end tourism, it is a pricey place, be aware. Regular folks might want to venture south of Jackson if your on a budget.

We made reservation here. It was just a place to rest after traveling 15hours. Small, clean with huge nice shower (2) camp site. We got charged $6 for the RV once we enter camp ground---wasn't part of the camp fee of $25- THEN when we unhooked our small tow vehicle to go get a bite to eat in town- The camp host came around and charged us ANOTHER $6! aside from that this place was a great place atop a hill with a view. mind you it was $25 to camp, $6 for vehicle permit , and another $6 to unhook our tow car to drive to town. $37 total! Now as we took a walk we over heard another camper who had a friend over get Charged the $6 bucks--- I heard the lady say she planned on staying with their friends in the camper- for 6 days--- the camp host lady quickly said " well then you own me $36 bucks" . LOL!! It is what it is, be aware. OH-- on the plus side it did have hiking trails and a nice playground. ;)

This was our first venture from a location posted to Campendium- We are in a tent but one day hope to Up- grade. This was a roughing it weekender trip, so no facilities was ok by us. We just had a heavy rain storm so a dirt road to get to the location was weighing on our minds, BUT it was fine- the road was a well packed dirt road. We finally arrived unsure- we went right, there where campers but it was a tad muddy for a tent- we back tracked and went left- less mud and we found our spot- Right in front of the small Lake- So we paid $12 cash/check only and claimed our home for the night- Vault toilet - decent- clean pump water. There was some bits of trash on the ground- not a big deal, just picked it up. Small semi sand "beach" picnic area- We had campers to both sides- with trees for privacy and a fair distance apart. Quiet - till about 2am a couple came drove in and decided to take a quick dip (they where a bit loud) but their visit was short and they were on thier way again. Woke early to a quiet light fog and people fishing in small boats. Ranger made early rounds to check up- Putting new trash bags in park cans. Waved as he went by. Over all- it was a perfect first find. PS- Close to Saugtuck (must visit!) And Holland ;)
