I can’t rate or review because it was closed. I was unable to find out if for good or due to Covid.

This park is HUGE! We were there less than 24-hours but had an enjoyable experience. There are several campgrounds and during a normal time there seem to be many activities. Most things were shut down because of CoVid 19. They have hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing, miniature golf, paddle boarding & kayaking (rentals available), train rides, hay rides, and horseback riding. So many fun things to do! We saw a fly fishing shop on park property. We definitely plan on returning!

Very quiet place to camp. Bathrooms were clean and warm. Hot showers and heated bathrooms. Peaceful and quiet location. Would stay here again. I have only one concern and that is the hiking trail is not well marked (other than the interpretative markets near the trailhead I never saw any blazes on the trail at all) and it’s easy to get lost in the sections it crosses and intersects with what looks like it may be an old logging road. However this is my only concern and that doesn’t reflect on the campground itself!

I came here after finding the COE campground in Maumelle full. So glad to have found it. Got there right before dark and the campground hostess was so kind to help me back in. The campsite was very level and I only had to chock the wheels. Very peaceful and quiet place. It is in a remote location and I couldn’t get a cell signal until the next morning when I was hiking. I hiked some of the nearby trails the next morning and looked around since it was almost dark when I arrived the previous night. Unfortunately the campground was closing 11/23 and I had arrived on the 21st. Went ahead and left right after lunch on the 22nd but hope to return one day and stay longer.

We’ve stayed here before. Not far from Hot Springs, good paved roads. Nice level sites. All campsites have gone up to $25/night for both full and partial hookups. Be aware the dump station is still broken not a problem if you are in Loop C with full hookups and they suggest you use an empty site in Loop C to dump your tanks. The problem with that is there were no empty sites the whole time we were there. Beautiful swimming area. We met people who drove over from other Campgrounds and paid the day use fee to swim. They were camping at Debby Point COE and a place called Crystal Springs. Ranger patrols all day and in the evenings checking up as does the campground host. We spent most days down at the swimming area. We camped in a motor home. And we will definitely go back. Sites are not reserved but first come first serve. Two tent areas. I think tent sites are $10/night. Bathhouses are clean and have hot water in showers and flush toilets. Cell service is with AT&T and rarely did I have a signal in the campsite but no problem at the swimming area or down at the bridge.

We stayed in site 6, right across the street from the bathhouse. One caveat is this a beautiful pull through site on the lake side. You have to hike down a hill to get to the lake. One warning with this particular site the street light is very bright and will shine in your RV like little Las Vegas! I appreciate the safety feature of such a bright light by the bathhouse.

You pay a $6 reservation fee whether you just drive in and get a spot or make reservations online and no person involved. Lots of hiking/mountain biking trails, swimming pool, tennis courts, disc golf, fishing. Very large state parks. It also has cabins and lodged and a group camp dormitory. This is very much a resort park. It’s huge! Our family loves this park and look forward to a return visit.

We were here first day it reopened post-CoVid 19 closure on 5/29/2020. We were the second set of campers to arrive. I was so happy to get a site by the creek. Hiking trails at my back door, historic Bathhouse Row just over the mountain, beautiful creek running behind the RV. Full hookups (water/electricity and sewage). What’s not to love? I plan on returning in the winter so I can hike the trails. One drawback is between the motorcycles that come rumbling through the campground and the heavy traffic on the main road this is not a quiet campground. Also the campground is wedged in between the swimming area and the picnic area so lots of foot traffic and vehicles coming through all day long. People who weren’t staying in the campground just walk through your site or walk behind your RV if they are walking alongside the creek. The two reasons it doesn’t earn 5 stars is noise level and traffic (vehicles and people on foot).

Few campers here because we are just a few days from Christmas and it’s cold! Nice clean showers, peaceful and quiet. I bet this place is packed during the summer. Seems like an ideal low destination. Not too far from the highway that goes into Hot Springs. Easy to access, please note the water was turned off since it is December so I have been using the bathhouse. I should have filled my water tank but I didn’t and had already set up when I realized that there’s no water. The bathhouse here is clean, warm and well maintained. Ladies come and clean it daily even with just six RVs spread out over four campground loops!

Beautiful campground with nice, long, level sites. Sites are spaced so far apart that they feel very private and often have greenery between you and your next door neighbor. Friendly host and hostess. Very well-maintained. I stayed three days/two nights and definitely will return. I did not use the bathroom facilities but I did see the host cleaning them on a daily basis. I paid $15/night because I had the America the Beautiful pass and it was definitely worthwhile. I’m looking forward to returning in the fall/winter and hiking the trails. They were closed due to logging. Beach/swimming area was closed due to CoVid. Almost forgot to mention that the campground is convenient to I20 and the local Walmart. Maybe a 10-minute Drive after you exit I20 but feels very remote and is so quiet and peaceful.
