Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on November 13, 2023This is another older COE park that has all the usual amenities - water and electric at site with dump station. Lots of trees and many sites on the water. Not all level though so it’s kind of tricky for larger rigs.
The lake is beautiful and easy for kayaking. We found a spot in the group site that was large and spacious on the lake. Even though it was off season and spots were non-reservable apparently the group site is - no signs so beware.
Easy 20 minute drive to Hot Springs for a visit to the baths!

We enjoyed our stay here and were able to secure a waterfront site. Hiking trails easily accessible by foot or a short drive, lots of options. Great mountain biking trails as well. Sites are somewhat close to each other and the campground was pretty full during our time there, 4/12-4/15/18. Overall very quiet. Very clean restrooms and showers. Campground very well kept.

We paid $11 (half price with senior pass). Great bargain. It is a very easy drive into Hot Springs. Some of the sites seem close together, ours has empty sites on either side, so there is lots of privacy. The sites are gravel, ours was not level- took 5 leveling blocks on one side of the trailer.
I would imagine it gets very busy during summer weekends. There is a nice swimming beach and playground, free, clean showers, dump station. The sites have water and electric only. Very few mosquitoes, but lots of ticks, plenty of shaded sites. Many people have fishing boats, and pontoon boats tied up to the bank.

Go here! It’s worth the drive. Beautiful sites, clean wash rooms, great swimming areas and playground. Sites are close but everyone is chill. The employees were accommodations and great! Wish we stayed longer. We will come back. Full electric and water at every site. 2 bathrooms. We have a small tear drop and we felt right at home. Rough cell coverage but who cares!

Few campers here because we are just a few days from Christmas and it’s cold! Nice clean showers, peaceful and quiet. I bet this place is packed during the summer. Seems like an ideal low destination. Not too far from the highway that goes into Hot Springs. Easy to access, please note the water was turned off since it is December so I have been using the bathhouse. I should have filled my water tank but I didn’t and had already set up when I realized that there’s no water. The bathhouse here is clean, warm and well maintained. Ladies come and clean it daily even with just six RVs spread out over four campground loops!

Camped 10/16/20-10/19/20 (Fri, Sat, Sun). Elec & water site. Our first reaction when arriving: Oh No. The place was full of campers, and the peninsulas were smaller than what we expected. I reserved in advance, and the check-in time is 6 pm. Arriving around then, there was no "Reserved" marker on the stake, and luckily no one took our spot. We chose Crystal Springs because we wanted to kayak Lake Ouachita, and this location fit the bill - waterfront sites and calmer waters for exploring the shoreline. An unexpected surprise - we got to see two bald eagles in the trees across the lake!
After getting settled, we really liked our spot, and it wasn't nearly as noisy as anticipated. Except for the boats racing by to and from the boat launch just past loop A (sites 1-22), it was fairly quiet. We had easy access to the water from our site, a nice mix of sun and shade, and it was pretty level. The neighbor in front of us was a bit of a distance away, so we didn't feel like they were right on top of us (neighbors behind us were close tho). Sites vary here - some are right next to each other; others have a bit more space. Some are level, a lot are slanted. All have gravel and almost all are back-in, but we saw a couple pull-throughs. Each has table, grill, lantern hook and fire ring. Loop A was the shadiest loop. Beach area and playground are between loops B & C.
There are two shower house/restrooms, one in loop A, one in loop C. They were clean, and the one in loop A had hand soap. There was a handicapped site right next to the restrooms in loop C. I took a shower, and the water stream was not strong but did the job. There are no VTs in the campground. A dumpster is in each loop; the dump station is a pull-through type in loop A.
We would definitely stay here again, but would try to arrange a during-the-week stay instead of over the weekend.

This is a beautiful location, a lot of sites are on the lake. The sites are a bit narrow and not really level so be aware. Our trailer is a 28-ft, we didn’t have too much of an issue backing into our spot. Getting level was a bit hard, I think we did our best and still a little lopsided. Would definitely stay again though, it was nice and quiet.
The grounds and restrooms were kept clean, although there wasn’t any soap in the bathroom so I had to bring my own sanitizer every time.

Great view of the water where ever you park. Kid friendly and sites close enough for group gatherings!
Only water and electric. Dump station in park.
Park Rangers very friendly and accommodating!
Restrooms/showers cleaned daily!
Would come back if in area.
