Easy to find, clearly marked areas. Close to flagstaff. Litter everywhere, extremely dusty, loud neighbors with generators, spot lights, and lous music running into the night. Loud offroad vehicles blaring music and flashing LED lights. Gunfire after dark. Neighbors having campfires during a campfire ban - no fires sign clearly marked at the entrance. Ranger drove past once, didn't stop the people from having campfires. If you're looking for peace and quiet with respectful neighbors, look elsewhere.

All of the established sites along grassy lake road were taken so we pushed on to the reservoir. So glad we did!

Secluded, stunning views, plenty of shade, no bugs. Targhee provides fire rings and flat parking. The road in can easily accommodate class C's and <25' TTs.

A bit of a drive to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons, but the site is free so all it costs you is gas.

Definitely will be back!

We camped on Forest Road 114 last night, just outside of Taos, NM. Taos is a friendly little artist hub with a neat historical town square. Lots of local goods and art. The town is still heavily affected by COVID-19 restrictions. Restaurants are outside dining and take-out only. Masks are required in any public setting. There are still quite a few businesses that remain temporarily closed.

Our campsite was quiet despite being near the highway. There is a sign that says "not suitable for passenger vehicles" which I can agree with if it has rained recently. But otherwise, sedans could make it up the road without issue.

PROs: Some old evidence of elk and cows were nearby, though we didn't see any. Lots of birds and cute little ground squirrels. Flat sites are easily accessible to TTs and Class Cs.

CONs: Previous occupants left behind trash in the fire pit which we picked up. The vault toilets were closed with COVID-19 signs from the local government. No water nearby, either, which if you rely on it for your life straw bottles like we do, is a bit of a bummer. There was a stream down the road from our site, but someone had dumped a large mound of trash along the banks (toilets, construction debris) so we didn't want to risk it.

All in all, not the best experience we've had on this trip, but was still pretty enjoyable.

My friends and I camped here the first weekend Ft. Bliss personnel were allowed to travel after COVID-19. It was packed. We drove about two miles past the falls before we found a spot across the spring that wasn't crowded. We drove 4WD trucks (one with a tear drop trailer) and SUVs and had no issues crossing. Everyone was very respectful and quiet. No noisy parties. No camp fires allowed, but we were able to cook on stovetop a without issue. The spring is too shallow in most spots (deep in some spots)fast and cold. I don't recommend for swimming. We will definitely be back soon. There is no cell service with Verizon here - a plus in my books! Plenty of trees to string up a hammock. Great place to get away from the desert heat. Low 50s at night, high 70s during the day. Very comfortable for tent or hammock camping. Road might be too narrow for big rigs.

Still just as busy as last time, but we parked on one side and camped across the creek away from the crowds this time. We were able to hang our hammocks amongst a nice spruce Grove. It was very quiet this weekend. The weather was perfect. 70s during the day and 50s at night. I still highly recommend this site despite the crowds.

I arrived just before sunset and was greeted with a beautiful view. I was the only one camping in the tent area. I car camped in site 095. There is plenty of space between sites, no electricity, but there is running water. The site was a short walk to the restroom. The restroom was a little worse for wear but still usable. There was some trash in the shower drain, but I removed it without issue. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and worth the money for a quick overnight just passing through.

//WILLIAMS FORK RESERVOIR//

Woke up to this stunning view. We pulled in late at night after taking a few detours around the Medicine Now Forest fire.

The campsites have fire rings, trash cans, vault toilets, and decent Verizon cell service. Plenty of room for big rigs and tent camping. Didn't cost us a penny 💸

The site wasn't terribly busy despite being the weekend, but it was a bit chilly with some high winds. We will definitely be back 😍

I arrived in the afternoon. Finding the campground was a cinch. Sites are large. Electric and water were present. A perk for car camping, for sure. Fire ring and picnic table were at the site, too. Cell service was 1 to 2 bars with Verizon. Not great, but enough for texts and calls. Just not enough to stream or refresh social media. Bathrooms left a little to be desired as far as cleanliness, but there are four lockable, individual bathrooms per building. It's really nice to have a whole complete bathroom to yourself. Will definitely be keeping this place on my frequent stops list.

Thanks Glenrock, WY, what a lovely stay!

We recently stayed at the Glenrock South Recreation Complex. It's 5 minutes from Glenrock and 30 minutes from downtown Casper (super cute BTW).

The park was clean, quiet (minus noise from the freeway - NBD for us), had great amenities (great cell service, BBQ, water, trash, and vault toilets), and hardly anyone was there except for a few big rigs. There's a small playground, little league fields, and a rodeo. Best of all, it's FREE. Our stay was so peaceful. I highly recommend!
