What a nice surprise finding this campground. Clean, well maintained. Plenty of room between sites. Nice pull through sites. Looks like the laundry room, shower house and pool are brand new. Beady yo get to right off I95 Exit 8 in Hardeeville SC. Not all that far for a base camp to Savannah, Hilton Head and other nearby places. Good Wi-Fi, cable TV. We travel to Florida from the northeast every year. Usually we start back from central Florida. This campground is an easy one day drive from there. We’ll be staying here again in the future.

My parents owned a lot here 20+ years ago and would spend every winter there. I could never figure out why they drove from Connecticut all the way down there. As soon as I pulled in to the campground I knew why, it’s almost paradise. Very well maintained facility. That’s probably because most of not all of the sites are privately owned. The Cuban restaurant across the street is amazing- if you can get a table. Breakfast and lunch is a packed house. Definitely worth a visit and definitely worth a long stay at this campground.

Booked 4 nights here without knowing anything about the place. Apparently they haven’t recovered from the hurricane in 2017. Our first site had broken glass, nails and screws scattered on it. Couldn’t find the cable TV cable after leaving a $100 deposit for the cable box. Turned out the cable was destroyed in that area but they gave me the box anyway. Moved to another site and figured we’d survive with WiFi. Signal was worthless. I realize camping means not always having WiFi and cable but for $100 a night I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect it, particularly when the campground advertises the service. Moved to a third site and managed to get a workable WiFi signal. We gave up on the cable TV. When I complained about the lack of services for the price I was told it’s a resort area and the high season. Basically it sucks to be me. It also looked like a lot of people living there full time as there were contractor vans and trucks parked overbite at numerous sites. The KOA next door got wiped out by the hurricane. They are currently doing a complete overhaul and rebuild of it with an opening date of fall 2019. Do yourself a favor, wait for KOA to reopen or go to one of the other campgrounds in the Keys. I’ll never go back there.

Convenient to Waco. Only negative is road noise from I35. But, they include a made to order breakfast for free for each person. Not the cheap donut and bagel breakfast like at the hotels. Eggs, pancakes, French toast, home fro, biscuits and gravy, coffee, and juice all free. Wifi and cable tv.

It’s a combination campground and marina. Site was unpacked and very tight with other sites. A lot of snowbirds and full time residents. Laundry facility was terrible. Out of 8 machines ont 2 worked, same with the dryers. You can do a lot better by driving a few miles away. A lot of highway (I95 next to it) and airport (FLL International) noise.

We've been RVing since 1986. We've been back and forth across the country three times and up and down the east coast from Maine to Florida more times than we can remember and we've stayed at a lot of campgrounds over the years.
Up until last week my favorite campground in the country was Fort Wilderness at Disney....until last week..well, I guess Fort Wilderness is still my favorite because you know, Disneyworld.
Last week we checked into an 8 day stay at KOA Sugarloaf/Key West. This is without a doubt the nicest KOA we've ever stayed at. After being flattened by Hurricane Irma in 2017 they took their time rebuilding. They put a lot of time, thought and effort into the rebuild and it shows. The landscaping/plantings are very appealing. They left enough space between sites that you're not on top of your neighbors. They did something here that I've never seen in another campground. They put in meandering paver block paths in a couple locations in each row of sites so you don't have to walk all the way to the end of a row to get around, you can go cross country without walking through other people's sites. Wi-Fi is better here than at home. They have Wi-Fi amplifiers mounted on the utility posts on just about every other site. The staff is friendly, the sites are beautiful. The pool/cabana/bar is something out of a 5 star hotel resort. They have their own marina with boat and water toy rentals. If you bring your own boat they have an outstanding boat launch. There is a beach area but this part of the Keys is pretty much coral so you'll need water socks or Teva's if you're going in the water. It's 20 minutes up the road from Key West. If you don't have a toad the city bus, which runs the length of the Keys in both directions, stops on RT 1 in front of the campground. All of the utilities are in a centralized pylon that's raised above the high water mark for the next hurricane. There's two sewer hookups, one towards the back of the site and one about 1/3 of the way from the street to allow any rig configuration to hook up without 40' of sewer hose. The tent sites (photo included) have what looks to be a 20X20 cement pad along with water, electric and cable TV (cable TV at every site by the way). Top it all off with two laundramats, a store that also sells pizza, burgers and other meal items fresh and has a covered deck with tables and chairs to enjoy your purchases. There's a fenced in dog play yard so if your four legged family member is traveling with you they have a place to romp too. Trash pickup is continuous from morning until sunset. Leave it out front and it's picked up (separate your recyclables please!) Someone on KOA's page complained about no-see-um's bothering them. It's Florida, there's bugs here. My wife got a couple small bites, I guess they don't like the taste of me. But if you're sensitive and forgot your bug repellent they sell it in the store. I recommend the White Mountain Black Fly repellent, it's what we use at home during black fly season and it works. Sites range from the tent sites to standard gravel sites with no patio to gravel sites with a paver block patio to sites that are completely covered with paver blocks. There are pull through sites, waterfront sites and back in mangrove sites. All sites have fire rings and picnic tables. The deluxe sites have a cement fire ring instead of a steel ring. All the deluxe sites seem to have Adirondack chairs and tables as part of their setup. They're also in the process of putting up two buildings with suites for anyone who doesn't have an RV and wants to stay here. What's not to like? Honestly, it's so nice that word travels fast. We heard today that February of 2023 is already completely booked. This campground is the shining star for KOA. Prior to coming here we stayed at the KOA in Davie/Fort Lauderdale and I already posted about the problems there. We went from rock bottom to the best of the best in the KOA campgrounds. Honestly it is expensive compared to other campgrounds. But a decent hotel room in Key West is $400 a night. Everything is more expensive in the Keys but you get what you pay for. You're getting a lot here compared to other campgrounds for what it costs.

Clean facility. Close to Naples. Easy to get to. Nothing outstanding but nothing to complain about. We had an issue with the electrical panel on our site and they moved us right away.

A couple miles off of I10 makes the location convenient. Dirt roads but concrete pads at the sites make up for the roads. Cable TV with a lot of channels. WiFi, not so much. They do have free WiFi if you can hang on to the signal. For $28 a night it’s a good choice. Particularly when I paid $100 a night at a campground in the Florida Keys. (Hidden Lakes). For less than 1/3rd the price Indian Point runs circles around Hidden Lakes. There is water access here - just watch out for the gators.

Very nice Campground. Only stayed one night while visiting family nearby. Far enough from I90 so there’s no traffic noise but close to the exit so it’s easy access. Clean campground with a mix of seasonal and transient campers. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here about 30 years ago and now we’re back. The entire campground is larger than it used to be and has had many improvements. You can’t beat camping with an ocean view where you can see cruise ships coming and going, submarines and rockets. Nice playscape for kids, a really nice beach and a long fishing pier. What’s not to like! Some of the sites were really tight with each other and the concrete pad in our site needed to be releveled or replaced but we made due with it. We would definitely stay here again and for more than one night.
