We drove here for a stopover between Padre Island, TX and Gulf Shores, MS. We arrived at night to find the given GPS coordinates entrance (also the previous reviewers suggested entrance) a long, wide, deep pit of tire dug out mud and water. Afraid to either bottom out or get stuck in our 4x4 30’ fifth wheel, we made the decision to drive on and ended up camping at the Cracker Barrel in Sulphur, LA listening to the trains’ horns all night instead of crashing waves.
I’d be willing to check it out again during the day when I had plenty of time and light to find another entrance or better alternative.
Poor cell signal.

Glad to find an electric site for so cheap.
Pretty quiet and right at the south entrance to the petrified forest.

Writing this review to counter the previous poor review.
We stayed here for two nights with our family and found the care takers to be kind and the full time campers generous by sharing a bag of kindling for our fire ring.
There was a fantastic playground and pool for the kids, our dog was welcome, and a never before (or after) seen gesture of offering stacks of fresh bath mats in their shower rooms at no cost.
The office offered a convenience store with a variety of practical and tourist items.
Definitely would recommend.

Much nicer than the actual campground nearby.
We didn’t go all the way to the GPS coordinates but decided the spot by the cinder cone would do us just fine.
This is a stop for us in between Sequoia and Death Valley.

With few RV campgrounds in Nashville, our choice was limited and apparently so was everyone else’s in this crowded campground. Depending on what your looking for, this could be perfect, but for us, it was solely location.
Lots of family fun activities and at $6 per extra person per night, there should be! Our family of four only used the pool, but there was an inflatable obstacle course and mini golf too. I would stay here again if I had to stay in Nashville, but I’m hoping not to! Feels like staying in a beautiful sales yard as all the campers are lined up side by side with only enough room for a picnic table and fire pit in between.

Not suitable for trailers of any kind.
Luckily, we unhitched the 5th Wheel in the turn around at the entrance which can be seen on the satellite map view. My husband went ahead to scout the area and came back saying it was a real 4 Wheel Drive track that’s rutted out and steep. He went halfway before realizing it just got worse.
Campendium needs to update this to say:
X- NO BIG RIGS.

Looks great- lovely lawns here, but site was unlevel and felt a bit narrow and difficult to back into while trying to make use of the more level side of the lot.
In the morning the owner nosed around the camper without saying hello to make sure we hadn’t damaged his tree since we had to park so close to that side.
Two full bathrooms available to campers with a sign requesting us to wipe the shower walls and floors after showering- fair- however we are paying to use the facilities should we also be responsible to maintain it?
Laundry facility not available to campers till after checkout, when the Inn laundry was done. Then $5 to wash and dry a small load. $10 to wash and dry a large load.
We moved on. The focus is obviously on the Inn with campers an addition.

I hate to pay for dry camping, but this place does make it worth your while, especially considering you have to pay to visit the island whether or not you camp. At Bridger Bay campsite each site has a pavilion on a concrete pad with picnic table, fire pit and grill table, as well as views to the lake. The sites are spaced out for privacy. Our site was level in the right spot, but I noticed the neighbor was up on blocks on one side. There is a dumpster and what appears to be long drop toilets- I won’t visit as we are in a 5th Wheel.

Although you could walk to the lake from your campsite, there are beach access points a short drive away with free flush toilets and cold showers as well as paid quarter-operated hot showers (minimum $1 for 4 minutes).
