This is by far the best campground we have stayed at ever. Clean clean clean Concrete pad, stamped concrete patio, manicured lawns, huge spaces, great clubhouse, nice pool and hot tub, indoor and outdoor games. If your into karaoke you can do it every night. Very nice camp hosts and workCampers. Very Quiet and very nice people. Not far from downtown amenities and nice lighthouse park and beach in Manistee. If your in the area and over 55 stay here.

Called the store and there is security in the parking lot. Can no longer park. However there is a rv park right down the road if your stuck.

Nice in city park. Layed out really good. Lots of space between. Nestled beside fairgrounds county buildings and high school. Very open grassy areas. A little on the pricy side but way better than staying in a cramped rv park. Online registration only I think. No one on site. Stay here if anywhere need the area.

They were very nice on the phone. We drove in and drove back out. Mostly all full timers and very sketchy. I wish I took photos to share.

One of the best KOA's we have ever stayed at. Definitely recommend. The only negative ( if you see it that way) was a group of cows Iman adjacent property. Nice level site. Mix of trees and open sites. Lots of full timers but well kept. Didn't really see anyone working and they didn't bring us to our site if that bothers you. We did have to hunt for our site.

I'm kinda shocked at the 5 star reviews. Never met a staff. We arrived after hours. 5:45. That's fine. There were no " grounds" to speak of. Wind swept dust bowl will just about cover the surroundings. But that's the nature of the area. The sites were level, had Cel reception and good satellite. Honestly it is literally on the highway. If you have to have hookups by all means stay here. Otherwise boondock at little America or a pull out. Earplugs won't help here.

Highly recommend this campground. Small but mighty. Beautiful views for sunrise and valley views for sunset. We stayed an extra night to recharge ourselves. Lots of room to run dogs or kids. Wonderfully nice camp host/ owner. Down to earth place to stay. Right off the Hwy but the noise wasn't bad. Just enough tree to be nice but still open space if you have satellite. Cel service was good.

I agree with others the sites are very cramped. Our awning would have touched the next neighbors slide. No space at all. However, 1 minute walk over the dune and your in the water. Beautiful beach. Not crowded. The host was nice. He Asked for cash only. Mostly full timers here.

Great host. We showed up without a reservation and wanted to go to the air museum. There were no spots left but the host pulled some magic and squeezed us in. This is a former Air Force base the apartments mentioned in another post are old barracks. Didn't bother us a bit. Adjacent to the museum. You can see many planes from the rv site. You do need to drive around the block to access it. No biggie. Very pleasantly surprised. Definitely recommend the museum to any air plane buff and this park for an overnight stay. Big grass area for dogs and level pad sites. Some long term folks but all very nice and no garbage hanging around. Good WiFi and Cel reception. Trains all day and night but didn't bother us. But if your a light sleeper put a fan on.

Nice host. We showed up after hours and they gave us their last spot. Kinda wished we'd just boondocked somewhere. The gate and entrance looked nice and the check in area was nice.our spot was in the very back row amongst sketchy long term people with their weight room and stuff all outside. I was very uneasy there. The river wasn't a draw. Kinda dingy and grody looking. Nice Big grassy area and playground. Good Cel reception. Good lighting at night. Lots of branches in our site we had to clean up before pulling in. Mounds of dirt and debris. Hadn't been touched in a while and tight trees on both sides pulling in and out. A little smelly. I was worried someone's rv was going to blow up but I think now it was just the air pollution. Maybe a different spot would have given us a better experience. Quiet mostly. Some train noise. No many choices in the area though.
