We stayed 2 nights to visit friends and family in the Atlanta area. It's very convenient to north Atlanta. Our site was longer than stated on line with concrete pads and asphalt. We had W/E, grill, and picnic table. We could see the BX from our site. The sites are all wooded with lots of fall leaves. We didn't use the showers. We would stay again if visiting Atlanta.

My husband and I had appointments in Tallahassee and decided to opt into a unique experience. We reserved this site on a Horse ranch and rescue through Hipcamp. It was $25 a night. We were only expecting water hookup from the description, but when we arrived, we also had 30 amp electric available to us. The site also had trash, and a rustic flush toilet and shower facility, and a community fire pit. Fire wood is available for $5.

This is located on a working horse ranch that does rescues, and also horseback riding. It is close to state parks with lots of lake access and hiking trails. It has room for at least 3 RVs and a number of tents. You have to reserve through hipcamp.com, which is like an Airbnb for camping. Our hostess, Marcia, was very responsive, and we enjoyed talking to her during a campfire. We were surrounded by horses and were allowed to feed them and pet them. We could have scheduled a ride if we wished to. There are also resident dogs on site, so you need to notify the hostess if you have pets so they can get to know each other.

It is about a half mile down a bumpy dirt road from the highway. The sites are on grass. There is a slope, but we were able to get our 23-ft trailer level.

All sites are first come. We arrived at 6pm on a rainy night and about 6 of 20 trailer/RV sites were open. They also have a large grassy dry camping/overflow site by the restrooms. Cost is $23 for W/E or $15 for dry camping. The sites are very large but the concrete pads are small. 5 sites are in the open, backed up to the treeline - probably good for Starlink. The rest are among large trees. There are lots of leaves on the ground which we didn't mind because they covered the dirt.

We arrived on a Sunday evening. When I went to check in and out the next morning, the office was closed with a phone number to call. But there was also a Dropbox for checks so I paid and we got on our way.

Bathhouse looked very clean and was well heated. I used the laundry. There were four new washers and 4 new dryers, all in good working order. Wash was $1.50 to $2.00; dryers were $1.00 for 45 minutes. Make sure you have quarters because there isn't a change machine.

We got 4 bars on T-Mobile. The TV picked up lots of channels including CBS.

To enter the base, make sure you check the entrance requirements. We are both retired military so didn't need any kind of base pass. Set your GPS to 2255 Westover Rd, Chicopee, MA. Then turn to the left to enter. If you have a huge rig, you may need to call security to lower the obstacles. We got through fine with our 26' trailer. If you need to get a base pass, please call ahead for instructions.

The area was very quiet.

I would stay again if passing through.

We were travelling and just needed an overnight spot. Their website had a reservation system that required confirmation via Roverpass. We didn't hear from them, but continued on hoping the travel gods would be with us. When we arrived at the open gate about 8:30 pm, there was a sign with a number for assistance. I called and our Roverpass reservation was promptly accepted and the camp host drove to the gate to escort us to our spot. He was very friendly and pointed out the laundry room and bath house and offered up the included wifi which we didn't use. For us, this was just a convient overnight stop close to Interstate 75. I would recommend this for RVers needing a place to spend the night The campground was very quiet at night, and the nearby highway noise got better as the night went on

We did only 1 night here, but it was less than 2 miles off our route. I called on Friday to reserve a spot and it was easy. When we arrived on Friday, they didn't have us on the list, but it wasn't a problem since we were the only ones there. Shortly after we arrived, security came by and registered us, collecting our $5. We had printed out the permit in advance so it went quickly. The wooded area was very quiet with nice river views. Most sites are very level. Some could accommodate a 40-ft motorcoach, but you might not be able to get your slideouts out. Somes sites were more suitable for a tent. We had a 21-ft trailer with no slides and would feel comfortable backing into several sites. Gates were locked between 10pm and 6am. Right at 6am, we heard 3 siren blasts indicating the river level would rise some. It may have risen about 10 ft, but the campground was well above the water line. Shortly after, a couple of small boats launched to hunt and fish.

They have a dump, water, and propane all in one spot. Water was free. Dump $10. They had some trouble filling our propane tank. Service was good except for that.

Can accomodate any size RV, even a big rig pulling a boat or toys The campground is on a loop and we had no problem driving the one-way road with our 22-ft travel trailer which is 11'6" to the top of the AC. If you have a huge big rig and are worried about trees, then go in the "Exit" on the right when you get to the loop. The campground is right inside this part of the loop and the road is wider and trees are plenty tall. We witnessed a few locals go this way to get to the trailhead.

Camping is on huge grassy areas with a good mix of sun and shade. You can pull in anywhere you wish on your site. We chose sun for our solar. There is a bolted-down picnic table, a bare patch on the ground for fires, and a trash can at each site. A vault toilet is located a short walk away at the trailhead. There is also a horse corral (a horse is not required). One of our neighbors used their corral for their kids.

We had a bad first night with someone pulling into the trailhead at 00:45am and blasting their speakers for about 3 hours. We called FWC but don't think anyone responded. Hopefully this doesn't repeat during our next 3 nights.

The trash cans were overflowing when we arrived and still are. The vault toilet could use some attention. There was a bit of trash strewn about at our site, which we picked up. On the good side is the camping is close to lots of rivers and springs, and there are several hiking and biking trails in the area.

I finally travelled at the right time of year to camp here and had a reservation for later this month. I got an unexpected refund from Recreation.gov, and when I checked the website I learned the campground had been closed. They had horrible flooding in that area, so I wasn't very surprised. They are taking new reservations beginning 1 May, so hopefully they will be back in business by then.

Our site was not very level and it took extra chocking to keep the trailer from rolling down hill. On the plus side, we had a huge "front yard". There was plenty of space for 11 family members and 3 dogs to gather. We enjoyed the many hikes and scenic creeks in the area. Cell service on Verizon was very spotty. Wifi was at the camp store. Bath house was clean enough. Camp fires were not cleaned out.
