Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on May 28, 2021We reserved online while driving and during mid-week there were many openings. Pristine sites, each with at least one shade tree, and most had level concrete slabs. Our #6 site was on a little peninsula. Bridge traffic is adjacent to camp, but was no bother to us. The river bed was full of water but barely moving and quite muddy. Surprisingly, we had few mosquitos or the citronella candle handled if we did. Dump station was easily accessible and clean. Pretty drive into this campground and we were sorry we couldn’t check out a little southern diner near the entrance. It’s a little off the highway, but we enjoyed the drive.

Nice find just 5 miles from Ashland City. All sites on the water, exceptionally clean, hot showers, level concrete pads. Minimal road noise but we were in the back, site 8. We camped at Harpeth River Bridge in a Travel Trailer.

We have stayed here twice over the past few years. This is a small campground well off of the beaten path. The staff are friendly and helpful and facilities are well maintained and clean. The sites are paved and provide 50/30 amp and water. There is a boat launch into the Harpeth River. This seems to be a favorite spot for local campers with boats. We hope to return here for a while in 2022.

This is a small campground with not many sites. All are concrete pads with plenty of space. The bathroom and bathhouse is kept clean. There’s no hiking or much to do here, but the campground is right on the river, so fishing, boating, canoeing, or kayaking are all options. The town of Ashland City is nearby and so there are restaurants and shopping within driving distance. There are a few shaded sites, but most have little respite from the hot, Southern sun. There is a little playground that smaller children would enjoy. Host was very friendly and welcoming. Some road noise from the nearby bridge, but it never seemed too intrusive. Each site had a picnic table and a grill.

I finally travelled at the right time of year to camp here and had a reservation for later this month. I got an unexpected refund from Recreation.gov, and when I checked the website I learned the campground had been closed. They had horrible flooding in that area, so I wasn't very surprised. They are taking new reservations beginning 1 May, so hopefully they will be back in business by then.

The groundskeeper needs to be replaced. Overgrown grass over the entire park. Saw a good size chicken snake slithering through the tall grass. Also saw several water snakes along the bank of our campsite. Cigarette butts galore on the ground in some sites. Disgusting.
Otherwise very nice in all regards.
Camp hosts very nice and personable.
Great bathhouse with hot showers
Each campsite has its own picnic table and trash can. Water & Electric.
A little boring, but that’s part of the package.

Very clean, quiet with only a handful of campsites. Showers were clean. Campsite was on river. Campsite pad was wide, level, and easy access. Would definitely consider this location again.

Harpeth is a very clean and well maintained COE park. Restrooms are clean and are maintained daily along with daily trash pick up at each site. There is a pond on the outer part of the park and the river on the other side. There are only 14 sites but all are very long with level concrete pads. All water sports are allowed on the river. Campground is quiet with some noise from the highway bridge near by but we really didn't hear much that would effect our night.

This campground is right off the highway bridge , so the road noise is there! Also it is super bright on the grounds toward the front, so be aware of this if you are tent camping, it’s not too bad though. The grounds are incredibly clean and the bathrooms/showers are not what you expect to find in a campground.
