We booked a one-night stay here on our way to the North Shore. We hadn’t been to this park before. It was quite nice. Electric and water hookup, but no sewer (but there was an available dump station). Went to Head of the Rapids at the end of a long bumpy road - not worth the 12-mile drive. The view from the fire tower at sunset was amazing.

We booked this site on our trip from MN to FL, based upon the route we wanted to take, and the many positive reviews on this site. Our map app took us in a rather wonky way to get to the campground, but it’s really easy to get to off of the interstate. The owners were very helpful, offering to help us get set up (which we didn’t really need, but was appreciated). The site was gravel, pretty level side to side. Cell service was good, and managed channels available via antenna. There was wi-fi, but we didn’t use it. They will fill LP tanks if asked. The laundry, BR and dog-wash facilities looked fine, but we didn’t use them. We would definitely stay again.

We camped here one night on our way to North Carolina. The site was gravel, pretty level. We had plenty of room on our pull-through site, but some were back-to-back back-in sites, and looked pretty tight. Highway noise was noticeable, otherwise the campground was quiet. Pretty busy highway to turn off of/on to.

We are on the way to Florida, and booked stays along 5-hour legs all the way down. Booked here due to location, price and ratings. The owners are very pleasant and accommodating. The site was concrete and fairly level. 30 and 50 amp. Cable TV was not very clear - didn’t try TV channels via antenna. Close to the interstate, and apparently in-line with the flight path from the airport. Planes overhead were pretty noisy late into the night, and early in the morning.

We stayed here one night on our way back to Minnesota from Florida. We booked it due to location on this leg on the trip, and the positive reviews we had read. It looks like a newer campground, and they are continuing to work on it. The facilities are new, and look really nice. We were here “off season,” and the campground was not very busy. We had a nice meal at a brewery in town Mark Twain Brewery, of course). The town is interesting, with a pretty clear separation between the “old” and “new” parts. It was a little tricky making the turn into the campground from the road; a pretty sharp turn right after a bridge, with not-too-good signage. If we hadn’t been tracking with our GPS, I think we would have driven past. Our site was not very level.

We stopped for one night on our way to the mountains of North Carolina. The campground staff is very nice and accommodating. We had a pull-through FHU site. The site was pretty level, on gravel. There were other backin sites. It was a little tricky getting off the Interstate to the access road to the campground.

This is our second stay at this great campground. Staff is courteous and knowledgeable, the sites are spacious and well groomed, and the trees provide a sense that you’re really in the forest (which you are). Many fun things to see and go, including Grandma’s Swedish Bakery a short hike away. We will definitely be back!

We stopped here on our way from Florida back to Minnesota. Great stop for one night. Close to the interstate, but far enough away that you can’t hear it. The owners were very accommodating, calling us on the road to make sure we were set when we arrived (on Easter Sunday). Easy to get to, lots of space.

This was our second time staying at this campground. This was an overnight stay, on our way to Flagler Beach. Great place to stay. Quiet, convenient, easy to get to. No campfire smoke! Sites are big, easy to navigate around the park. We would definitely stay again!
