This KOA has it all- Great location for visiting parks, friendly staff, well kept grounds, and clean facilities. You are in a bit of a hole here so cell service isn’t great, but the wifi was exceptional. We work from “home” and are on Teams calls all day, so I really mean the wifi was exceptional. Also, this place is in the middle of nowhere, but the campground has breakfast and dinner every day, so you can find sustenance even in the desert. Would definitely recommend this place if you are looking to check out the Badlands!

Couldn’t agree more with the previous review. This is a sad KOA that does not live up to any sort of KOA standard. The grounds are a mess, buildings and amenities in disrepair, and the bathrooms are unmaintained. The redeeming quality of the campground is the beautiful river scenery and the proximity to a nice outdoor area at the Neversink Preserve. If you can get a quiet site near the River, this may make your stay worthwhile. Otherwise, skip this campground.

We stayed here for a couple nights on our way from South Dakota to Glacier National Park. The park had great access to Theodore Roosevelt NP for the day. The office staff was incredible friendly, we received a spot with shade, and the restroom facilities were clean. All you need for a campground! Would definitely stay again if passing through.

This is one of the most picturesque little campgrounds we have been to, and our site backed right up to the calm, babbling river. Unfortunately, we are full timers who work from home and there was absolutely no cell service here, and the KOA provided wifi did not work. We ended up having to move to another campground for the week, then came back for Friday and Saturday night. The manager was extremely kind when I asked for a refund due to our situation. If you are looking for a nice weekend getaway, this is your spot!

This KOA is the definition of what you expect at KOA. Great family atmosphere, well kept, and the sites were clean. Site 77 was secluded with foliage, a nice hideaway. Other highlights were the pool area was open and clean with lots of chairs, and the bathhouse was updated and spacious.

We enjoyed many local sites, such as downtown State College, Penn State Creamery, Rothrock State Forest, and Harvest Fields Community Trails. We would definitely return!!

Basically ditto to the comments from everyone else. This a beautifully kept park, great amenities, low price on laundry, and clean facilities. Only downside is it’s a bit far from downtown but we were happy nonetheless. Also as a runner, there are great paved sidewalks around the park to get a run in!

The hosts here are amazing (JC and Emma). You definitely I rely feel well-cared for and they are always available to answer any questions by phone. Great little lake viewing area, perfect for sunset. This is a no frills park, with no pool and sites are ungraveled. The restrooms are a little rugged, with quarter showers that need a little more privacy. However, it’s worth it to experience the islands and Burlington from a serene and quiet campground!

This site is perfect for accessing GNP. Sites are well maintained, but not the most level. Bathrooms are clean with hot water, and laundry is fairly priced ($1.50 per wash or dry). Definitely would stay again if visiting Glacier!

Campground is well maintained and quiet, but there are a lot of permanent residents and we were placed right next to a cluster of these homes that were a bit run down. The other big downside to this campground is the water is sulfurous and soft, leaving you with that slippery/slimy feeling when you shower. The pool is very nice and laundry is cheap, so there are some positives. Site is close to Indiana Dunes and easy access to the highway. Community is gated and secure.

This campground is a mess. Roads need serious gravel, everything is a mess of mud, dirt, and puddles. Picnic tables are old and rotting, no concrete or gravel patios at sites. Restrooms have a broken hand dryer and no towels most of the time. Several of the showers don’t work properly and you can only turn on hot or cold water, but not a mix of both. Showers 3 and 5 are safe and functional.

On the bright side, this is a great place for families on the weekends. The slide and swim area are packed, and we spent hours out on our paddle boards on the water. The trail around the lake is also nice. But all in all, not worth it. This place needs some serious work.
