We arrived the 3rd week of January and picked a site in this BLM area about 1 mile west of Bouse, AZ. It is way less congested than any of the BLM areas near Quartzsite in January. There are a number of easy access dirt roads on either side of Plomosa Road.
Our nearest neighbor was about 100 yards away. You had to listen intently to even hear if the neighbor was running a generator.
This is pure boondocking, no services except what you carry with you.
The local Bouse Community Campground allows you to use their dump station and fill with fresh water for $20. The camp host told us that the water is from a well and they test it monthly to ensure safety.
Two of the commercial campgrounds in Bouse will fill your propane tank, and the price was very reasonable - actually cheaper than in Quartzsite.
Plomosa Road has road traffic throughout the day, but is minimal at night. Overall there was little road noise. There was the occasional ATV group that passed the by but all were considerate regarding speed and dust.
In Bouse there is a small grocery store and a Family Dollar that provides most of the basic essentials, including fresh fruits and vegetables.
This is a great place to stay and easily attend the numerous activities in Quartzsite in January.

We stopped by on our way through to empty waste tanks and refill with fresh. We paid $10 and were directed to use any site (the campground appeared to be totally unoccupied).
Easy in and out.
The office is on the north side of lot, and a metal drop box under the Office sign for payment.
There did not appear to be many amenities, but it would be a good place to stop for an over night when passing through the area.

We stayed here for a week in early March. The sites are all full hookup 50/30 amp with gravel parking for the RV and vehicle with a nice size concrete pad between the RV and parking spot. All sites are back-in, but very easy to get into because they are very wide sites and the streets are paved and also very wide.
Front office staff are very friendly and accommodating. We were guided to our site and given assistance backing in and getting lined up for service connections.
During our stay we noticed that whenever another unit pulled out, maintenance staff would be by to clean up and rake the gravel in the site parking areas.
There is a nice size ( but not large) swimming pool by the office along with other recreational activities such as pickleball.
We really enjoyed being far enough off the interstate that we couldn't hear the noise at night, but close enough to great shopping for groceries, hardware and dining.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The sites were well maintained, level and clean. The sites were separated by a variety of desert fauna. Everyone was courteous and abided by the generator restrictions of 8-10 AM and 4-6 PM (although at 7:59 AM you could hear many generators fire up).
There are a variety of things to do in the park with a visitor center, various hikes, and a couple of driving routes through the nearby desert.
Washrooms were clean, although the solar showers most often were a frigid awakening no matter the time of day.
We absolutely loved the park, friendly fellow campers and park personnel.

We connected to power through our Watchdog power monitor and initially everything appeared OK. But just at dusk the Watchdog reported a serious power issue and thankfully disconnected our power - saving possible damage to our unit. In the morning the unit reconnected.
We reported the problem to management and asked to move to a different site. We were basically given the cold shoulder (or more like the look of daggers) and told they would look into it - which they never did.
The 2nd evening the Watchdog issued an error and disconnected us again. With my voltmeter I checked the plug in the pedestal, and sure enough I found a wiring problem - voltage between the neutral and ground.
It was then we realized the nearby dusk to dawn street light was likely wired off our pedestal. Whenever the light turned on (at dusk) it would create a short across the wiring in our pedestal. When the light shut off in the morning, the issue would go away. We paid for a week in advance, and rather than walk away, we stayed for the week and lived with no power at night.
We also would not recommend this campground because the pull through sites are very narrow, and the units are parked back to back. You end up with your neighbors vehicle at your front door.
Also, there were nearby trains that went by at least 6 times a night. Very noisy!
