Wow it's amazing here! We arrived on a Saturday afternoon in our 35 ft 5th wheel and had no issues finding a spot. The road is dirt and has a few bumpy spots but not bad at all. It was easy to move around here and bigger rigs would fit without a problem ( just don't go past when the road turns from dirt to rocks, only tents and small vans can fit there). If you need to fill water and dump you have a few options: The National Park has free water and a dump station. Bigger rigs could fit in the park to use the dump station and water fill without an issue, although we just came with our portable tank to dump and brought a water bag. Another option for dump and water is in Alamosa at the Maverick gas station. They have water by the pumps and the dump station is in the back where the trucks and RVs go.

We stayed here for one night in our way to Denver Colorado. I'm glad we had a place to go with full hook ups because the outside temps were 105, but it was really expensive. We were told we couldn't check in until 2pm or later unless we paid a $25 early check in. We checked in around 2:30 and were greeted by very helpful and friendly staff who escorted us to our site. The sites were very nice and well kept and had a picnic table and a little spot of grass. Overall this is a gorgeous park with beautiful views of the canyon, but expensive. We were able to use the pool and hot tub but they close at 9pm and don't open until 10am, which made it so we couldn't use the morning we left because check out is at 11. Also I did not like that the laundry room is tied to the main office building, making it so that you can only do laundry during office hours. The office opened at 9am the next day, but that doesn't give you much time to do a load before checkout.

We loved our stay here! We met a fellow RVer a few weeks back and told her we were planning on staying at Miners Canyon and she told us it was terrible and to find another place. I am glad we didn't take her word for it because we really enjoyed our time. There are several sites close to the main road, but we chose to camp closer to the lake to get the amazing views. There is room for large and small rigs here and the road isn't too bad, just go slow. I will warn you to look out for nails at your site. We used a big magnet and collected over 50 just by our fire pit. I loved this spot because even though it's close to town, it feels so remote and peaceful.

We loved this spot and were greeted to the area with the most amazing sunset I have ever seen. The GPS coordinates for this spot will take you to a side of the road with about 5 campsites. That's the side we camped on because the last spot was wide open and had great access to the sky for solar and Starlink, but there are tons of other spots on the other side of the road. This location is great because you are 15min away from Bryce, 15 min away from Red Canyon and 30 min away from Kodachrome State Park (a must see). I do have a few notes:
Driving: If you are driving in on Hwy 12 heading East towards Bryce, you will see a sign that says Tunnel 13ft. 6in. That's exactly our height so I was really nervous to see the tunnel. You will be fine, we had plenty of room to drive under the 2 beautiful red arches so no need to panic like I did. You will also see a sign saying no vehicles over 22ft long. I have no idea why that sign is there, but we had no issue and saw several semi trucks going through that road during the week.
Water and Dump: We visited early November 2023 and most water and dump spots were closed for the season. We filled up on water before we left Salt Lake City but did need a refill while we were staying near Bryce. There is a water spigot in the parking lot of Ruby's Inn and they said I could use it for free. There is plenty of room in there parking lot to pull up a rig, but we just used some water containers. Across the street is a Sinclair gas station that was still open in Nov but charged $20 for the dump and water. We did not use this. Sinclair also does Propane Refills for $3.99 a gal.
Trash: We took our trash to the National Park, they had plenty of dumpsters around the park.
Laundry: There is a small laundromat at Ruby's Inn near the entrance of Bryce. I went there on a Monday and was the only person there. They have 8 washers and 6 large dryers. Later in the week I went to visit Kodachrome State Park and discovered that the park also has a laundromat. They had 4 washers and 4 dryers. I wish I would have known about Kodachrome before I did laundry near Bryce because you can go on hikes in-between loads. Kodachrome also has showers you can use for free (Just $10 entry fee to the park).

Wow what a beautiful boondocking spot!!! We came to this campground to stay a few weeks before we headed up to Glacier National Park and are so happy we did! It's beautiful here. This is only our 2bd time boondocking and we feel so spoiled because not only are the views amazing, but we have acess to a free pavilion at our site, acess to trash, acess to water (not at site) and really clean vault toilets. There is a camp host here that keeps an eye on things as well. It's a beautiful place to stay and I am still amazed that it's free!

We stayed at this park while we got some work done on our truck. The owners were very accommodating and even let us stay on an overflow area one night when the campground was full but we needed a place to stay. The spots are huge and we could pull thru our spot with our 5th wheel setup and slides out. The park is near a busy road, but road noise wasn't that bad. They have 4 private shower rooms and 2 washers ($1.50) and 2 dryers ($1.00). The park is decently close to Great Sand Dunes National Park and about 10 min from town. We will be back!

We stayed here because it is close to Sedona and other places we wanted to explore. The park is small, but well kept and everyone was very friendly. The park wifi was not usable, but my husband works remotely so we bring our own internet. T-mobile and Verizon signals were very good and had no issues connecting. Overall I liked this park, but felt like there were alot of rules and wish they could have been more relaxed about some of them. For example, the pool and spa closed at 8pm, which is early. Also the showers are only open 8am-9pm...why have set times you can shower? Even with the rules this is a nice place and if you want to visit the area, you will have a nice place to park here.

This would be a suitable spot for a night, but we stayed a week and that was too long. Let's start with the pros:
Free Laundry!!! The laundry room is awesome, 9 residential washers and dryers all free! The machines are large enough to wash and dry bedding. The laundry room and bathrooms are well kept and you can tell that they are cleaned everyday. The staff is very nice and friendly, and they are available by text if not in the office. We stayed a week for $200, not bad!

Cons: NOISE!!!!! To be fair they are across from an air force base, and are directly in the flight landing path. If you want peace and quiet this is not the place. We arrived during a special air force training week and we were constantly hearing fighter jets flying by....they seemed so close that the camper was literally shaking as they passed. I asked people in the park if it's always like this or if it was just because of the drills they were doing.... everyone I spoke to said this wasn't as bad as it normally is. There are so many people living at this park full-time, I don't know how they do it..I guess you would get used to it. One night they had planes flying until 11:30pm. The park is also next to a train track and the highway...so you have that noise too. I fully support our air force, but I also realized I don't want to stay at an RV park across the street from the landing strip.

We stayed here in our 35ft 5th wheel in early October 2023 when all of the campgrounds were closed for the season. Forest Road 318 is right off of the main road and is easy to find. The forest road is rough and our 4wd came in handy, but you can make it without 4wd just go slow. There are about 5 spots that we could see, but we didn't explore the entire area. We chose a spot on top of a hill and we had an amazing view of the mountains. Be prepared to level the camper out!! We wanted to stay longer but we had to leave early due to an expected snow storm. If you come in October be prepared for winter weather and no trash or water nearby.
