Disappointed. While the park is brand new it's lacking in greenery; located directly under high power wires with a substation just across the street and has zero charm; sites are very close. I would also say this is a stretch to say it's 'in' Cody which is not bikeable nor walkable. On the plus side the bathrooms are nice along with the laundry room. Staff was welcoming. Suggest this as an overnight near Cody rather than a several day stay.

We made reservations for Jasper National Park/Whistler Campground months in advance as it fills quickly. Yes, you may be able to find a lone site here or there, but if you would like to stay put for a while, as we did, try your best to plan ahead. The campground has about 30 loops with dozen+ sites in each loop, however, it doesn't feel overly crowded. We camped in Loop 28, Site i.

The town of Jasper, bikeable and only 2 kms away, had a few more tee shirt shops than I like, but was still acceptable based on the outdoor activities available, a couple of decent grocery stores...and Earl's. Be sure to eat at Earl's Kitchen + Bar. If you're headed out to kayak/canoe at Lake Maligne, arrive at the Lake by 9:00 a.m. or you'll be overrun with tour buses. We enjoyed a great paddle before the crowds. If you choose to take the 1-1/2 hour round trip boat tour to Spirit Island, book online.

Our 'intermediate' short hike to Old Fort Point was made even better since there are trails you can take a leashed dog on. Thank you, Canada!

Rate was $28/night/Canadian with an additional charge for reserving online. You must also pay a nightly fee, per person, to stay within a Canadian National Park. You might find it more economical to purchase the two-year pass for $130.00 (Canadian).

There are a minimal number of hookups available, but there is also an outstanding 8-rig dump and fresh water fill available.

This is a comfortable provincial park with an easy check-in, spacious sites, clean restrooms, and a roaring waterfall. Sites 93, 94 and 95 would allow sleeping to the sounds of the waterfall. This provincial park has 'seasonals'. Not all sites are level for longer rigs. We camped in a 30' Airstream.

Canada's provincial parks require a valid park permit AND campsite fees. Permits are $125/annual or $5/night in addition to campground fees. We traveled this road from Ogdensburg, NY to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Entering Canada requires a passport.

I note two things different from the coiffed provincial parks of British Columbia. 1) These are not as pristine as those in BC, BUT 2) If you carry 100' of power cord, you have electric, which is unusual for a provincial park, and means no generators!

It was too early in our day to check in but we found this provincial park quaint. Well maintained and spacious campsites with clean, old school outhouses. Slight highway noise from Hwy 16 but not enough to keep you awake. Nice trails. Some train noise across the lake. Overall an OK site for the night. $22/Canadian per night.

We pulled into Dreany Haven early evening as we crossed the Trans Canada Highway. This is for all purposes a 'seasonal' park with a hodge podge of everything imaginable, and two transient sites with water/electric only. The two sites are 'buddy' sites which face each other, based on the hookup locations, and are eight feet apart once you set up camp. Our curb side (non-patio) sat even closer to the seasonal site's picnic table. Camping fee per night was $47.77 (US) which is pricey for this park. Should you choose to dump tanks there is an additional charge of $26.05 (US).

We did not use our telephones making a quick crossing of Canada so unsure of connectivity.

We visited this absolutely beautiful provincial park on our way to Alaska and were impressed. Sites are spacious and provided enough privacy for all. Flush toilets and showers available. Friendly park host and rangers. Each site is impeccably maintained. Large children's play area, a couple well marked nature trails and a dog friendly beach. Great Verizon cell service. We came to enjoy solitude and were pleased. There is a 10-mile, slightly winding road which was well worth the trip. Miles from the closest town of Vernon so stock up on your way and enjoy the beauty of Ellison Provincial Park. $32 Canadian/night

Two nights allowed me ample time to explore the Vicksburg National Military Park just a few miles away. Check in was a breeze but w/o reservations, and no 50-amp sites available, we took a 30-amp. With temps in the low to mid 80s, this worked just fine. If 50 amp is important to you, book ahead during summer months. Campground close to VNMP and the Historic Downtown area which was just ok. There is a casino shuttle to buzz you across the street. Bathrooms could use a deep clean. There is a hum from I-20 but able to sleep with windows open. Overall an acceptable resort and may be the only choice in town.

What to do when your truck is failing and you need a Ford dealer and campground, pronto!

While heading to New York we quickly pulled into Tanglewood Camping in Covington, PA where I felt like I had fallen back in time to a sweet, bucolic campground complete with swimming and boat rental.

The site size gave us sufficient privacy. There is a table and fire pit at each site. Very clean showers and restrooms. Large, fenced dog run. With Good Sam discount was 10% less/night.

Access only 4 stars as it's a 7-mile drive off the highway but once you arrive it is so very worth it! Cell service is AOK, able to post review and photos, no problem. WiFi offered by park was very good.

There are many 'seasonals' from the local communities who summer at this park but we found everyone friendly and welcoming. I always look for the silver lining when something goes awry and Tanglewood Camping was it!

It's a long haul from Las Cruces NM to Austin TX and this campground provided us with just what we needed. Off the I-10 about 1/2 mile with minimal freeway noise we pulled into the campground with a diner, grassy sites, pool and a large, grass fenced dog park. We were met with smiles and easy check in (Good Sam discount). Excellent cell coverage. We would definitely stay here again.

We were fortunate to find a place on a mid-summer Saturday evening without reservations, that's the only good thing we experienced at this campground. Sites 5-17 are tight, when possible stay away from these sites. Cell service was marginal. We thought $64/night with a 10% Good Sam bringing the rate to $58 was way overpriced. Upside: children will like the resort with pool, shaded playground, jumpy house.
