Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on August 19, 2023This review is based on a short term versus destination RV park point of view. Our arrival email stated not to arrive before 3:00 PM and we were coming in from about an hour away so we called the office to see if early arrival would be permitted. Since we were arriving on a Monday, well into September, our site was empty and we were told to come on in, which was nice. Check in was super fast and we proceeded to pull through site 18 with FHUs. Utilities were placed in the middle of the site which was nice. Buffalo Bluff is a fairly new campground (CG) and we were impressed with its cleanliness. We received a good amount of OTA stations plus they had cable with decent channel selections. Since there are no trees within the park, satellite would not be a problem. There’s a small fenced dog-park and plenty of area to walk the dogs. We received 4 bars on Verizon. Lots of interesting places to explore in Cody, don’t miss the Buffalo Bill Center ($20 entry fee is good for 2 days) and Old Trail Town. Both provide a ton of history. We enjoyed our short stay and would consider staying here again.

We stayed here at the start of our Yellowstone Tetons trip prior to Memorial Day so most things in Cody hadn’t started yet (rodeo, etc) ….cost wise it was cheaper than the nearby KOA- so we chose to stay here. Amenities wise though it’s lacking for kids, laundry/showers and thankfully a fenced dog park. It’s new and nice, great flat spots, tidy appearance. Overall this would be a good one night stay or great for couples with no kids but I may have chose the KOA for our kids to have other things to do for the price and length we were in Cody. Hindsight’s 20/20.
Note: when coming up the hill of Belfry Hywy, our map notified us to turn left into the driveway shortly AFTER the turn and we missed it. It was not a convenient turn around either down the road!

Very tidy and clean. We chose as our base to visit Yellowstone for a week.
Pros: Generous spots that are well laid out. Clean dog walk (gravel). Friendly office staff. Package delivery accepted. Very close to town of Cody.
Cons: No grass or trees. No shade. In fairness I believe they planned it this way for ease of upkeep. Only two washers/dryers. We used Cody laundromat. Very close to long haul power lines and substation!
If you are looking for a resort style, this is not that. It is a great basecamp or overnight place. I’d love to give it a 5 star rating, but for this and a few other reasons I am not able to do so at this time.

When I arrived, I was greeted by a very friendly woman who was closing up the office but still took the time to make me feel very welcome. Arrivals mean everything especially after the challenging day we had trying to get out of Yellowstone.
The sites are well designed and spacious. My only issue is they used a sandy material for under the picnic table which tracks into you RV when it is slightly wet. The park is near the road but I didn’t notice any noise.
People who come stay here are very friendly. The vibe in the park is as nice. Mostly people in motor coaches.
During our stay, we did laundry. It is nice that it was open into the night. One of the washers didn’t wash clothes very well but the rest of the machines operated as expected.
Buffalo Bluff is a great place to stay if you're in Cody. Everything looks brand new and very clean. They offer free WiFi and it is extremely fast (over 250 Mbps). It's in a wide-open space so if you're using Starlink, you will have a clear view of the Northern sky. I would recommend this and will be back. We camped at Buffalo Bluff RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This RV park is a newer park. It is clean and easy access by car to Cody WY. The spaces were a little little close to the neighboring spaces but very clean and well maintained. The spaces are all 50 feet long and you can fit a car next to your RV/camper for parking. Our parents fit their 45 foot class A without issue and parked their car in the space next to their RV.
I noticed a dog park on the grounds and the restrooms/showers were very nice. Again everything is clean and well maintained. I did not notice very much traffic noise during our stay. If you have a site along the back of the park the views are great!
I wished there was a playground or play set to entertain kids but again the distance to Cody made it easy to find a city park to use.
The water pressure is high and the sewage connections were easy to use. If you’re looking for a place to park while visiting Cody this is a great place.

This place is essentially a gravel lot outside of a ranch with no other real amenities. That said, we loved it here! There are horses next to the camp, and it’s up on a bluff so the view, as well as sunrises and sunsets over the mountains, is amazing. It’s a quick 10 minute drive down into Downtown Cody. It’s about an hour from the East entrance of Yellowstone too. The showers and laundry are kept extremely clean and are in great condition. Best of all the staff in the office is so great!

Disappointed. While the park is brand new it's lacking in greenery; located directly under high power wires with a substation just across the street and has zero charm; sites are very close. I would also say this is a stretch to say it's 'in' Cody which is not bikeable nor walkable. On the plus side the bathrooms are nice along with the laundry room. Staff was welcoming. Suggest this as an overnight near Cody rather than a several day stay.

We've stayed at two other campgrounds during previous visits to Cody. This year, we booked an extended stay at this new park despite the lack of a weekly rate. The park is too new for Google Maps to have a satellite view, so we relied on the website photos and park map.
What we envisioned as a view overlooking Cody was instead aview of the dog park, 2 dumpsters, and a major electrical substation.
Power, water, and sewer connections are all very good. Wifi is adequate. There is no TV service included, and no OTA service available, so satellite is necessary.
We did not use the restrooms or laundry.
Staff was courteous and provided a nice welcome package of Cody information.
For us, a return to Buffalo Bluff is unlikely.
