This was out first time to the Black Hills and we were looking for something central, full service, nice grounds with space and quiet. Buffalo Ridge fits all of that! Lovely pool and jacuzzi, clean laundry facitilies, lots of space for roaming around. Non-touristy town of Custer one minute away. New owners as of 6 yrs ago and they have modernized everything. It was previously a Jellystone Park so some of the defunct Dino statues can be found in the outer parts of the park. Also a defunct tiny locomotive railroad which would be really cool if it were working. Can’t say enough great things about this place!

Stayed here 4 nights, mid October. Just opened in May 2022 so bathrooms & shower house is pristine. Selected site 26 on line but wanted to change when we got here (that site is up against a fence) and Elisa helped up make that happen. Contact is only by phone. This little park is owned by the same folks who run the pier, Pangea Restaurant and a spa across the road. Here on a weekend and only 4 other rigs! WiFi very strong, hookups in great condition, level sites on gravel, steps to the pier and beach. Also, pier parking lot has 2 permanent food trucks that seem to cater to the surfers and fisherman who frequent this area. Great fish market up the road and Food Lion grocery about 1/2 mile south. No laundry facilities. This is not a spread out NPS campground BUT we loved being so close to the beach. Wish they had fire rings though.

Full hook ups, nothing fancy, gravel lot, fairly level, plenty of room to turn our rig around, Not much road noise and easy to reserve. Called one day before arrival. Had some cool old stuff to look at on grounds. Up on a bluff. Great if you are self contained. Quiet too.

This place was perfect for our needs. We were In OKC for an event at Cowboy Hall of Fame & Western Heritage Museum which was just a couple minutes away. Our site as right next to the mini golf and pool. Because it was early September and HOT we loved being next to the well maintained pool. Nice laundry facilities and huge air conditioned clubhouse space with pool table, dvd library, internet station, tables & chairs and sofas. Nice bathrooms and showers too. Very close to freeways so noise from that.

Fire ring, table and metal shade structure provided. No hook ups but potable water and dump station available at ranger station just up the road. Bathrooms, flush toilets, & dish washing sink available. We have a 32ft class C w/toad, no problem fitting in site. Fantastic views of river & cliffs. Fairly level sites, non reservable but we had no problem in mid November. 20$ a night unless you have a NP interagency pass, then it’s 10$ per night. Would definitely stay here again!

This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed here. First time was in March and it was freezing cold! Second time was September, hot and breezy. Visiting Pampa for business and this place suits us fine. No reservations taken because there are always spaces available. Water/electric at sites w/ dump station. This is a large park recreation facility run by the city of Pampa. It includes 4 ball fields, small lake, walking trails and rodeo grounds. Very quiet except for trains. Can be windy but of course this is the panhandle after all. Few trees so really no shade. Bathrooms & showers but you need a code from a city employee. Never got the code so can’t report on those. Price: $20 for Fri/Sat, 15 for Sun-Thurs.

Stayed here as an overnight on the way to South Dakota. No hook ups and did not use rest rooms. Easy access from I90, lots of places, non reservable. Pulled in around 5 pm on a Thursday and no problem finding a place for our 32ft Class C with TOad. There is another loop beyond the first one you come to, so keep going on road, you will see a golf course to your right and beyond that are more spots. Some very near the Yellowstone river.

We needed to find a place just for one night as we were traveling from eastern Oregon to Montana. We did not have reservations and called the state park in the morning as we were out on the road. The woman told us that hardly any one was in campground and that we could either go online and reserve for the day of or just drive in and find a spot. Decided to take our chances and check out what was open when we arrived. Took site 031 in the lower loop, gorgeous view of the River! Had water and electric, pull through. Quiet except a little sound from the interstate.

Stayed here for 2 yrs in a row, first time in March, 2nd time in April. Booked a waterfront spot for two nights each time. Pluses: resort like setting, pool, jacuzzi, laundry, store, bike & kayak rentals, sandy beach, bay swimming.
Minuses: all day noise from OC airport flights, spaces are close with little privacy, super expensive. For the price you would think that on site trash pickup would be a perk. It’s not. Pretty much the only RV place to stay in Newport. The nightly rate varies depending on site, day of week, time of year. You need to call to get the actual rate since it’s rather unclear from the website. Also, the following taxes are added: City TOT TAX, CA TBID TAX and an OC Charity tax, whatever that is! So my total cost for a beachfront site for Saturday & Sunday nights was a whopping $498.55. Yikes! If I do stay again I’ll book a non-waterfront site.
