This was a good stop-over on our journey from Bend to Boise, and all of the spots are long, pull-through, level, and FHU. It is really a big parking lot without any privacy or greenery, but it’s clean, quiet, and well cared for. While Hines probably isn’t a destination to most folks, the 10 sites here filled up the night we stayed, and I can understand why. We booked online, checked in with the camp host/owner, and enjoyed a quiet evening. The camp host/owner was nice, helpful, and available if needed. There was room to walk our dog, their WiFi worked well, and there is a competitively priced gas station next door (pretty handy). The rate is $30 plus tax ($32.40), and we would stay here again.

Bosch's Big Bear RV Park was easy to find and we knew from our pre-arrival email that we were in site 2. We also knew from the website that if you arrive between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM its a $10 charge. We arrived after 1:00 PM, but no one was in the office. There are 10 FHU sites that are pull throughs. However, if you’re longer than about 35’ it is best to just line up on your site in the huge parking lot and back-in. The lane for pulling through is a little tight and we would have hit the nice shade tree they have planted between sites. After we set up, we went back to the office and there’s a chalk board that had info plus a phone number to call. We called the number and talked to the owner who said that her son, who normally manned the office, was out for the afternoon. We didn’t need anything but the WiFi code, which was texted to us. Overall, this is an impressive little campground (CG) that is perfect for an overnight or, in our case, a three day stay. The big and very nice lodge, which at one time had a restaurant, was closed. There is no playground, laundry nor showers, but they do have a porta-potty and a small tent area. There’s obviously water, electric, and sewer at each RV site but also a fresh water spigot and hose at the front of the lodge area and a dump station at the end of the RV sites. A picnic table was set up at our site and there were picnic tables and fire rings you can grab and take to your site, however there was a burn ban so no fires. A WiFi booster is at site three and due to the small size of the CG, plus it was not full, the WiFi signal was outstanding. We got three OTA channels so we set up our satellite with a clear shot to the southern sky. We also got three bars on Verizon. The website provides good info on the CG plus things to do in the area. They are open year round but water is turned off November to March. Hines is just down the road and has your major amenities. Check out Oregon's Wild Horse Corral Facility back down US20 about 10 minutes. They have a self-guided auto tour that’s well worth the time.Overall, we had a good time exploring the area and would stay here again.

We only need address place to stay and hook up for one night. Good prices full hook up only 30 amp. Pay attention to the numbers. There are only 10 sites and when you come in a new park to the right of your numbered side. The restaurant is closed and there is no host on site. Great for social distancing. Not so great for getting feedback or asking questions. There’s an out house on site otherwise no facilities. Would definitely stay here again very clean and nice.

This is a friendly, easy, small park with excellent access. Although the park says all pull throughs, it is easier to back up, but you can still stay hooked up if you want as there is plenty of space. Each gravel RV site has a shade tree which is helpful in the heat. Folks kept their dogs leashed. Good wifi. Open views. We would definitely return.

We stopped her for one night while traveling between Bend and Ontario. The campground has a row of 10 pull-through full-hookup sites and an area for dry camping, all located on the edge of a huge gravel parking area around a large restaurant (the restaurant itself is currently closed). When we pulled in, there was a free-standing whiteboard that listed who was in each site (and thus which sites were available), but we’d picked our site (site 7) online so we already knew where we were going to be.

Other reviewers said they backed into their pull-through spot because the lane behind the sites is narrow. We scoped it out when we got there, and while it was a tad narrow for making the 90-degree left turn into the site, we were able to do it with our 37-foot fifth wheel without any trouble, despite the small trees on both sides of the back of the site. Be aware that the site numbers are only really visible from the front of the site, so it’s a good idea to make note of your site location before you go to pull in. The hookups are in a standard location, and their presence, along with a large white cement block, mark the border of your site. We did put a board under our door-side camper tires to help us level a bit. There was plenty of room to park the truck in front of the camper. The trees were just a little taller than the camper, so we only got patches of shade. Not every site had a tree nearby, which is something to keep in mind in the summer given that some sites only have a 30amp connection to power any AC units you might have (all of the 50amp sites were already spoken for when we made our reservation).

Despite being an overnight campground, there are a few places to hang out. There is a picnic bench and fire pit behind the full hookup area, and another beyond site 10 that overlooks the valley. There is also an outdoor covered porch with seating behind the restaurant, and next to that a grass lawn with a horseshoe area. There are also lush grass areas on the sides of the restaurant, which was where we ended up walking the dogs. There is a small dumpster for trash and a porta-potty adjacent to the full-hookup sites. I don’t know why the restaurant is closed - it looks like it’s in great shape - but apparently there’s a decent fast food joint within walking distance just down the hill next to the gas station that has breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu items.

In terms of cell service, the best speed I got on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna was 69Mbps down and 11 up, so streaming video was not a problem. The best speed I got on my AT&T smartphone was 60Mbps down and 10 up.

We would stay here again if we needed an overnight spot in the area.

Full hook ups, nothing fancy, gravel lot, fairly level, plenty of room to turn our rig around, Not much road noise and easy to reserve. Called one day before arrival. Had some cool old stuff to look at on grounds. Up on a bluff. Great if you are self contained. Quiet too.

This place has everything you need at a good price. It’s a gravel lot outside an old lodge with 10 pull through FHU spots. It’s fairly level, about 100yds off the highway, but also about 100’ higher in elevation too, so there was very little road noise and we were in site 10, which is closest to the highway.

My only reason to give it 4 instead of 5 stars is we were in a 26’ Class C with a tow car, and the access drive way to the sites is very close to the edge of the property, so once we were lined up with the water and electric, our car was still at a 45 degree angle from turning into the site.

Easy online reservation process. Easy access to this small, quiet park with a nice view of the central Oregon desert. Site 1 was level with plenty of room to back in our 34 ft Class A and park our towed. Very good cell signal with Verizon and T-Mobile. Hines and Burns are small towns but have a couple grocery stores and a few restaurants which are handy for weary travelers.
