We joined friends here for the Gumbo Cook off and we had such an amazing stay, we are going back for the Chili Cook Off this weekend. This is a new resort that has it all. Campsites are on concrete, picnic tables and most sites have additional parking available at site. If not at the site then parking is available nearby. We had a pull through first stay but will have a back in near the river for this weekend. Beautiful pool/spa with BBQ’s under a patio cover. Activities for young and adult with live music at their venue. Cabins are also available if you don’t have an RV.

If you are only looking for these two things, then you won’t mind paying the $42/night. Park entrance is not well marked and office is hidden behind rows of sites. Park desperately needs to be spruced up- seriously… just mow and require people to pick up trash. Site next to us is full of trash, much of it from TV dinners. Julie was very nice but…. We didn’t even want to walk the dog through park.

The information online-map doesn’t adequately show how nice and spacious the sites are at this park. We extended our stay and we actually in 3 different sites during our stay. All sites had nice long cement pads, stable power and good water pressure. It is a newer park and the trees are still growing and establishing themselves. Bathrooms and laundry room were both clean and in good condition. Close enough to Munising for all of your Pictured Rock adventures and yet out of the city for dark night skies. Staff is friendly and helpful and would love to come back and stay again.

Reservations are made and completed online. Easy to do. We needed to add a day and I was able to text and easily add the additional day. This is a more rustic campground in that you are parked on gravel and there isn’t any paved surfaces. Spaces are laid out well and our pull through easily fit our 37ft Coach and our F-150 truck. FH and a nice laundry room made our stay very comfortable. Majority of guests are there long term guests but the ownership works really hard at keeping some standards regarding personal property on site. Our only complaint would be low water pressure. This was such a great place for adventuring in Waco and we are already planning on another visit. The nights are dark and peaceful and this is a great place to stay!

We have stayed at a couple of really rough parks in the last month and I have been really picky lately. This treasure of a campground is located alongside the road but the many trees in the park block much of the road noise. We had a creek side site and it was lovely and level. Power and water were both good. The only negative about our stay here is that it was only for one night. Great option if you are in Broken Bow area.

We have family DFW area and have stayed here at least 4 times in the last two years. Clean level sites, good even power and water pressure. Small laundry room but clean. Campground is well taken care of with a lovely peaceful lake and great views. We love the on site BBQ restaurant and the staff has always been helpful and pleasant. We look forward to our next visit!

We were looking for a place to just hang out for a couple of days after afterwords RV rally’s back to back. We hit the jackpot here…. Huge pull through sites and each one has a fire pit and table with seats for 4-8 people. Power and water pressure was excellent. Lake with beach, fishing docks and very nice bathrooms spaces well throughout the park. We were easily able to do our 2 mile walk in the morning and they even have a trail down by the river. One review noted that Akron isn’t really a destination location but…. This campground has it all if you are looking for fun for the kids and lots of amenities for mom and dad. Only negative… no laundry. But not enough of a negative to prevent a longer stay.

Door County is a happening place. Lots to see and do so looking for reservations a week before Labor Day proved to be a bit of a challenge. I initially hesitated making this reservation because Jonas no sewer or dump station. We boondock often so it didn’t really deter me too much. Such a great place. Level sites, good water pressure and 50 amp power is stable. This is an adult only park and situate bit from the hustle and bustle of things but a 20-30 minute drive will get you up to everything Door County has to offer. Would stay here again and can heartily recommend for a quiet easy in and out location!

We have stayed at quite a few KOA’s this summer and this one rates #2 in our KOA line up and one of the better campgrounds we have visited. Impressive amount of variety in campsites from beautiful and private tent sites, tree shaded back in sites, pull throughs and the deluxe patio sites with very nice seating for 4 , a slider swing and campfire ring with seats. Escort service to the site, wood delivery to site and trash pick up are just some of the extra services. Clean and reasonably priced laundry room. There are also lots of fun options for the littles from a very nice play area to a huge jump pad. If you are looking for relaxing or want to entertain the kids for a weekend getaway… this is the place!

This park is as nice as they come! Price reflects Good Sam Discount. This park is well laid out with nice size sites and beautiful landscaping that gives a sense of privacy. If you need a quiet place to stay in East Texas near I-20, this is a wonderful option!
