This was a wonderful place to boondock for the week. There’s a 5 day limit. We went down to the end and backed our Class A in between some trees. There were some huge holes at the entrance but my husband took the time to fill those in a bit to make it easier to get in and out. In the 5 days we were there, 2-3 vehicles a day might have pulled in and then left. One truck came down and launched a boat but most people saw us and left. There is a train track nearby and the train can be loud but it didn’t bother us. We had great Verizon prepaid and AT&T/OTR service for working. The road from Douglas side is all dirt. It’s not terrible but long and dusty and rough at a few points. The road from Glenrock is shorter, turns to pavement around the power plant, and generally a faster, easier ride.

Lovely campground in NE NV. Surprisingly green, so much water, and plenty of places to take a walk or for kids to play. They have a fun lady bug scavenger hunt that my boys loved. Great discounts for Escapees and Passport America. (Extended network service with Sprint that varied with the wind ;) )

We didn’t actually stay here, but I think I would for a night if needed. We came here to get water and dump our tanks - there’s potable water and a free dump station. On Sunday morning there was a line at times for the dump but we were here a while showering and dumping again.
