Confirmed by 5 users | Last reported on March 19, 2024I really can't explain how crazy our trip had been when we stumbled upon the Welcome Station RV Park. But it was just the two of us and the park we originally reserved turned into a disaster. We were hot, tired, and arguing when we saw this place coming up on our GPS. And the very minute we entered this park, all of our worries melted away. We were met with smiling, friendly owners and other happy campers. We stayed here on August 26th & 27th, 2017 and had the most wonderful time! Honestly, I can tell you this GEM of an RV park is a true oasis in the middle of the desert. It was absolutely magical...cool, grassy, a real stream running through, and gorgeous views from everywhere. Also VERY friendly, clean, and relaxing vibes! Not to mention easy to get to and the best customer service we experienced during our entire 3 week adventure :) We will go back every year if we can.

The bathrooms are clean, the sites all have beautiful views and the owners of the park treat you like family.
We were invited over for Easter dinner, sat around the camp fire talking and even helped plant the garden!!!
We seriously had the best time here!!!
It’s a great place to stay and reset before moving on to the next location.

Full disclosure: The owners of this park are friends of ours. They bought the park just last year, and we wanted to visit. They had stayed at the park previous to purchasing it and told us what a beautiful green oasis in the desert it was... but until you see it, you just can't believe it! There are creeks running on both sides of the property, and beautiful green grass and huge shade trees all around. The owners host a campfire on many nights (unless the weather is too windy) - a great time to get together with fellow campers. The rate we paid reflects the weekly rate which is super reasonable. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Welcome Station RV Park.
Note: Wells has a small grocery store; best to stock up before coming or the drive to Elko is pretty but 40 miles away.
MiFi devices worked great with cellular booster.

This place is a true oasis. The owners are very friendly, the campground is lush and green in parts where there is no green, there is a creek and pond, nearby grazing horses, and truly the cleanest bathrooms and showers on the planet. I can't say enough good things about Welcome Station except the very loud and constant (24/7) road noise from Hwy 90. It is a bummer. Still, you can't beat this place unless you are willing to go 30 minutes off the freeway.

Found this park on this site. With a little research, saw it was an RPI, Passport America & an Escapees discount park. We got on on our discount park pass. We had the only gravel site all the others were grass. We had to share the water & sewer. We opted not to dump, didn’t want to bother our neighbor. Wasn’t an issue for us. We did however have one of the longest sites! All the other sites had normal hookups. We were the closet to the interstate, so we did have road noise. However the park was meticulously maintained & the staff was beyond friendly. Truly was a pleasure to stay there.

Lovely campground in NE NV. Surprisingly green, so much water, and plenty of places to take a walk or for kids to play. They have a fun lady bug scavenger hunt that my boys loved. Great discounts for Escapees and Passport America. (Extended network service with Sprint that varied with the wind ;) )

I was driving back to Salt Lake from the Oregon coast and wanted to break up the long drive. I found this RV park here on Campendium. It's right off the freeway in an oasis in the basin and range country that is Nevada. I think the elevation was about 5,000 feet so even in August it was cool and nice especially with the large trees they have. It was filled with manicured green grass which was a nice contrast to the desert all around (and I am not usually a proponent of grass!). It was crazy affordable, especially with my Escapees discount. The people were very friendly. It was about 60% full on a Saturday night and very quiet. I had two bars on Verizon which wasn't enough to get my hotspot to work. The noise from I-80 was constant all night, but faded to white noise.

Good base camp for making a day trip over to the Bonneville Salt Flats and day hiking the Lamoille Canyon and Ruby Mountain areas.
The park is very well kept and has a great "backyard feel" with all the shade trees. Steve and Nancy have a great place here in the desert.
While we were here road crews were out working on I-80 repaving so there was a little highway noise from outside the park.
