This was an overnight stay for our trip from home in East Texas to Utah.
Hookups are 30 or 50 amp. There is water at each site but it was off
tor season.
Pay at the police station. There is a Dropbox with envelopes. $15 a night.
Location was fine for our 35 foot
5th wheel.
We were disappointed by. the amount of trash around the area.
Also was a homeless person staying in a tent The person let his dog roam and almost got into fights with our German Shepherd.
If not for the trash and homeless person could be really nice.

We booked to have full hook up while working on our property in the area. $150 for a weeks stay with full hook ups. Water was good tasting (we do filter). People staying are alm really friendly. A lot of full timers that stay here for work. We will probably be back on our next trip.

Booked the campground so we could visit our daughter while she is working in Greeneville
Booked a few months in advance online which was an easy process.
We had a fire in our tow rig and had to have the camper towed to the site by towing company. Since it was Friday of Labor Day it was completely full.
The sites numbered 50-60s are mostly level. We have a larger 5th wheel, and its really tight. I don’t think you could get a rig in there if the parking for the tent spots were full.
The sites 1-10 are NOT LEVEL. You will most likely not be able to get your rig level on these. They slope up dramatically.
The bathrooms were clean and the showers worked really well.
There are a few trails around, and plenty of history of David Crockett.
EVERY PERSON we met that worked here were fantastically friendly people. We had our rig in for service and actually stayed two additional days. The last day we stayed, the site we were in was booked. The staff called the campers, and they agreed to move next to us.
The only downgrade to this location is that the sites are too close together.

Camped first week of May, 2019
Booked the park because it was the only campground open this early in the season.
Reserved a site for up to 35 foot rigs. Our 35 foot fifth wheel fit nicely and was easy to back in.
Our site had a great view of Lake Superior, and we were only about 30 yards from the shore/path. Sites are wooded, and spacious.
Due to the early time we stayed, the water and dump station were not open yet.
The rangers let us fill our water from the hose on the guard shack.
Out houses were open, and quite nice. They were checking them every morning and clean and stocked.
Just in case you haven’t visited the area this time of year, we had snow the night we left (May 9th). It was chilly and our furnace ran every night.
There are nice paths and you can walk them down to the breakers.
Cell coverage without a booster wasn’t great. You could go to the path by the shore and pick up one bar of LTE or 3G, but in the sites, it was non-existent.

This is a good basic campground for overnight or a couple of days stay.
Camping is free, but there is a donation box.
Park has playground and grills, along with tables.
If the urge hits you, the old high school track is just west and nice enough to run on.
Water is available.
Thedford has a Dollar General, gas stations no others.
Great Verizon sign,

Stopped for an overnight stay on the way home from Tennessee.
Found site on another camping web resource.
Got in around 5:30PM and were checked in by the nice staff
Got the Pull through site for $20 that included electric and water.
There is a dump site on the grounds, along with showers, bathrooms, and laundry.
Arrowhead Lake has a 2.25 mile trail that is nice enough to do on foot, bike, or even a motorized wheel chair.

Stopped for an overnight stay on our trip to the U.P. Of Michigan from Nebraska
Called ahead to the city offices to see if there would be open spots (It was May 2nd, early in season up North). They said the water was still turned off and bathrooms closed. This was fine for us.
Got site 11, which was next to the bathrooms. The site was a nice level gravel pad that my 35 foot 5th wheel fit into Iwith my F350 attached).
30 AMP service was included in the $15 per night charge.
There are other camping sites in the park which also looked really nice.
There are Tran tracks next to the park, so there may be a train come through. Didn’t bother us, as we have more trains come through our town.
Nice small town park that provides a great value.

Wife found this lake on Google Maps.
We drove out on a Sunday to check it out, and was amazed by the quality of the sites for the money.
We camped the weekend of October 16th, 2020.
Dry Camping is $5 a night.
Electric (30AMP) sites are $10 a night.
We came out on a Thursday and got a sight (#5). The sites are gravel (white rock) and somewhat level. I was able to get level with our leveling blocks.
There were quite a few other campers, but the place was really quiet after 2200.
The lake has good areas and a trail around the lake. We put in several miles walking the dog.
The lake is a "no wake" lake, so no speed boats. The lake is small enough that it would be an issue anyway. Great kayaking lake.
There is a dump site (free) on sight. non-potable water available at dump sight.
Fresh water near the campground (one spigot).
Our only complaint was that there were only two dumpsters near the electric campground. More trash receptacles would be nice. We picked up trash from fire rings in the tent sites, which was annoying.
We will definitely stay again next year, this time with kayaks.

This is our second time camping at Rockford. Both times we got site 29, which allows our door to face the lake. This time there was an algae warning in the lake. Swimming was prohibited. But, we weren’t going swimming. We were one of two campers in the whole park.
This lake does not have a dump site, but we live near another state park and dump there.
Water is from spigots in the park. The water is not from wells but from the rural water district. Much safer drinking water.

Campgrounds finally opened, initially for reservations only. Reserved the site early.
Site 25 is at the end of the row, and your door opens up to a gentle slope down to the tree line.
Pad is asphalt, and parking area was almost perfectly level. Some of the asphalt is sinking, but it didn't interfere with parking or jacks.
Campground was almost full, but never heard any other campers.
There is a historic Pony Express station on the park. This site is where Will Bill Hickok started his gunfighter legends, shooting 2 (or 3) people when he was younger.
The park also had primitive camping with horse stalls.
Modern Shower house and bathroom (looks newly built). Couldn't use it because of COVID restrictions.
Dumpsite in campgrounds that was clean. Don't try and do a u-turn with longer rigs at the dumpsite.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
